  • I like the places they had to eat and the ability to get out was nice.
  • The staff, they were rude and not very helpful. Not at all impressed.

  • Constant noise "music" everywhere.

“The early warning alarm went off at 1 in the moriningion for 45 minutes. There was no information for the guests, as to if we needed to start down the 22 floors. The first night was not a good experience.”

  • The non-smoking room in the Tower of Luxe was really non-smoking and smelled clean.
  • The cashiers at the Starbucks and in the hotel general store were not friendly.

“I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room in the Luxor Tower. It was my first time requesting for a non - smoking room in Vegas where I couldn't smell smoke from other rooms or previous guests.”

  • Location is excellent, check in and out process was
    excellent.
  • Rooms are totally outdated. Very dark.

“Check in was super easy. I thought staff was great. Rooms were clean, very outdated, carpets are stained, bedding was very worn as well as the furniture. It was very dark in the room and I had every light on. The room was close to elevator and casino. Noise level was fine however my friend could hear music early from the pool as we were right above the pool. We went to the buffet and it was good.”

  • Close to main strip.
  • Poor service, and rundown condition.

“We were told upon arrival that they only had one bellhop and he was busy. There was a tray of food left outside of our room from the previous guest until we called that night to have it removed. We were on the sixth floor and could not sleep until around 4 am when the night club closed. Overall, the hotel is rundown and difficult to navigate.”

  • Amenities such as restaurants, shopping and view of mountains from room.
  • Location was somewhat far from other attractions - main strip.

“Hotel has some nice shows and shops. Hotel is adjacent to a shopping mall with a variety of restaurants, shops, etc. Good night life located in hotel.”

  • It was conveniently located on the Las Vegas Strip.
  • Dated, not very clean, and small rooms.

“We stayed at the Luxor about 10 years ago and had a great stay. I would guess that these rooms have not been updated at all since then. We actually had to walk down a hallway that had concrete floors and only sheet rock on the walls for about 30 yards. Calling this hotel a 4-star does a disservice to your customers.”

  • Very contemporary casino.
  • Room was on the 1st floor, in front of Starbucks. Noisy.

“Luxor's casino is great but the hotel was sold out that night and my room was on the 1st floor right in front of Starbucks, at 6 am Starbucks speaker was blasting right into my room. At night there was so much noise because it's right next to the casino so it's loud. Never stay on the 1st floor of this hotel.”

  • Elevators located near front desk.
  • Sales people every feet trying to sell shows, very intrusive.

“The hotel itself was outstanding, the staff unfortunately was less so. The only staff that seemed pleasant were the housekeepers and the valets. The desk staff seemed either disgruntled or just uninterested, not blaming given the volume of people that must be dealt with, just pointing it out.”

  • Nice interior in the commons area.
  • Housekeeping never had a completed room there was always something.

“I would not recommend the Luxor to anyone. The food was poor at best, hey this is Las Vegas. The first room was not adequate. I was moved to an upgraded room. The room was in the back 40 so to say. The TV was a regular 27 with poor channel selections, over half was the hotel and ppv type. The housekeeping never got the room right once. I had to call at 10:30 pm upon my return to the room as the toilet was not cleaned and the bed had stained sheets on it. The pillows were like waffles, the mattress was okay but not 4 star quality. The next night the pillow case was so thread bare it ripped in half. There something not complete in the room everyday, i.e. towels missing, soap missing, pillow left on the floor with no pillow case etc. The floors out of the commons areas had stains in them even in the room. Will never stay there again! Too many choices Las Vegas to put up with these issues.”

“Maybe you have to like dark, tacky, hard to navigate hotels, but otherwise, I would never stay at the Luxor or recommend it to anyone. I slept on my daughter's living room floor the last night rather than spend one more night at the Luxor.”

  • Several of the employees were pleasant.
  • General condition and lack of courtesy by manager.

“The Luxor definitely needs refurbishing. The carpets are worn, the moldings chipped and it looks like it's seen better days. There was a wet towel in the bathtub and it looked as though someone had recently showered in the room. The hotel did give me a slightly newer room which was an improvement. All the rooms are very dark with not enough lighting, which may be designed to hide some of the flaws.

  • I liked the location and the amenities of this hotel.
  • I did not like the service charges for internet capability or that there was no complimentary airport shuttle.

“I enjoyed all the entertainment of this hotel. However I felt that $13 was a lot to charge for only 24 hours of internet service, so I went without. Other than that, my friend and I had a great time.”

  • There were too many people trying to sell us timeshares every time we walked in. It became very annoying!

  • Not much.
  • Room was horrible and service was not great either.

“The shower plugged and water did not drain. Maintenance came and fixed it, left hair ball and dirty towels in the bathroom. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows too. Not a good experience at the Luxor. Will not stay here again.”

  • It is in a great location and has three of the best shows in town - Criss Angel, Carrot Top and Fantasy.
  • The charge for the in-room internet access was a bit exorbitant.

“If you are on business travel, stay here. If you are on leisure travel, spend the extra money and stay at Mandalay Bay.”

“The notice was placed in our room about a drought and if we wanted to reuse towels to hang them. Our hung towels were taken. Also requested was to turn lights off when we left room. We did. When we returned they were all on. Maybe the cleaning staff did not get the same information as guests Seemed odd. And did

  • The hotel had all the amenities we wanted in a hotel and the Egyptian theme was a nice additive to our experience for something different.
  • The initial room we were given was absolutely basic as we would have got anywhere. Not impressed so we upgraded.

  • Decor, convenience and location. the room quality was good as well. the dining options were nice.
  • No coffee maker in room also towels were cheap quality.

“Everything was ok since we didn't spend much time in the hotel. I might add that inclinators didn't have any signs to let one know of its movements. There was no coffee makers in the room. The room was ok however the cleaning people left dishes outside for the whole day.”

“Rooms are small, very hot, and the beds were awful. Mold in the showers, hard to get to your room, took forever to go anywhere or get out of the hotel. Awful, awful experience. To say this is a four-star hotel is an absolute joke. Terrible experience. I should have stayed at Motel 6 instead.”

  • No problems with check in even though they had 100s of people checking in.
  • The design very hard to find your way around.

“Good for non seniors. The design made it hard to find your room etc. My wife is in a wheel chair and it was very difficult. We felt lost for the first 24hrs. The food was good. The restaurant staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean. I would say the hotel is ready for a major make over. Looks old on the inside.”

  • The check-in experience was above and beyond. Marilyn was great!
  • The hotel is run down.

  • The Luxor is legendary, the theme was beautiful.
  • Construction!

“I was fairly happy with my stay. A number of the shops were closed, but the ones that were open were nice. The inclinator (the lift inside the pyramid) was a bit surprising but also brilliant. Transportation was very handy.”

  • Decor, hotel showed its age, uncomfortable beds, ugly room decor.

“While this hotel was under construction while we were there, that was not really the issue with the experience. I would expect that for the amount of money that it costs to build this hotel that they would spend the minimal effort to keep it in good shape and update the decor in the rooms.”

  • The room was quiet. The restaurant was ok. The room was clean and shower was good.
  • I was told not to get the shuttle from the airport that it would be the last stop. That was not true. The airport shuttle return ended at 6 pm.

“This room was fine for the price. It was adequate for a business trip. I did not think that there was overall great service. I called twice regarding the clock/alarm/radio not working. It was not fixed.”
