“Additional resort fee more than 11 $ a day. That are hidden costs.” Oct 20, 2009 by
Linda from Cincinnati,OH
“The room seemed to be clean but is in dire need of some repairing and replacing of chairs, blankets, and the wallpaper had holes punched into it plus the doors were bent at the bottom and rusted that went to the bathroom.” Oct 14, 2009 by
Taylor from Highland,CA
“Awesome hotel, great location, lots of fun!” Oct 11, 2009 by
James from Omaha,NE
“This is much closer to the Circus-Circus then to the Mandalay Bay. I have stayed in many 4 star hotels and this was not even close! I was very disappointed with this hotels.” Oct 10, 2009 by
Michael from Marietta,GA
“The room we stayed in was in horrible condition. There were stains on the wall, ceiling, and carpet. The drain in the sink was broken and made a rattling noise during our entire stay, even after complaining to the hotel. The entire hotel smelled like smoke. I know it is a casino and some smoke is to be expected, but there was little to no smoke smell in the other casinos on the strip (Venetian, Caesars Palace, Mandaly Bay, etc.). I attempted to explain my displeasure with my stay, but management was uninterested in doing anything about it, and only said "we're sorry". Unfortunately, that summed up my experience at their hotel - sorry.” Oct 6, 2009 by
Todd from Salt Lake City,UT “I was told I would get a king bed and a room in the pyramid. I received neither not knowing this until I got to my room. Basically, what I told I was going to get I did not. It was then too much hassle to change.” Oct 5, 2009 by
Linda from Temecula,CA
“Beautiful outside and pool area rooms are in need of some repair. Best shows in Vegas for the price including exhibits.” Oct 2, 2009 by
Cindi from Mt. Angel,OR
“It was ok. I probably would not stay there again unless I booked a room in the tower section.” Sep 27, 2009 by
Anne from Ashland,OR
“Conveniently located for the business traveler (my convention was at Mandalay Bay). I was upgraded to a West Tower room, which was roomier than the pyramid room I had last year.” Sep 12, 2009 by
Vanessa from Camarillo,CA
“I was greeted with smiles and the staff was great. I went to my room and the elevators were like a bad ride. It was so closed in the ceilings were low. It was very creepy the room had bad air conditioning. It was so confusing getting to my room. Elevators shake and it was just bad. There was a cord from the TV to hook up Internet and they charged 14.99 for it! I couldn't sleep I had a better experience at the Hampton inn for 35 a night.” Sep 9, 2009 by
Jessica from Chula Vista,CA
“I loved the service. The new bars and restaurants rock.” Sep 8, 2009 by
Lori from Phoenix,AZ
“We arrived at 10 pm and checked in, got our key and went to our room. It was not ready, housekeeping looked like they had just arrived to clean the room. The prior guest dirty towels and bed linens were still in the room.” Sep 5, 2009 by
Steve from Phoenix,AZ
“For the money Sep 3, 2009 by
Jean from Novato,CA
“The staff was friendly, but the rooms needs a good makeover. It was so old, sparse, and run down it felt like it was more motel then a hotel. The only good thing about it was the location being close to everything. But the price we paid, definitely was not worth it.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Erica from Soledad,CA
“Overall, the customer service at Luxor was adequate. The room design was nice, relaxing and comfortable. Friday and Saturday were a bit busy and there was somewhat of a wait for things I requested but it wasn't too long and the reason was understandable.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Andy from Victoria,MN
“The luxor seems to be getting quite old. the elevators were either broken or extremely slow and always full.” Aug 31, 2009 by
Quang from Alhambra,CA
“My expectation for this hotel should be 4 stars but it did not meet the 4 stars hotel due to carpet wrinkle and beds are not comfortable.” Aug 31, 2009 by
ken from Valencia,CA
“Great locations and rooms were very nice.” Aug 22, 2009 by
Mary from Gallatin Gateway,MT
“The room was dirty. The windows to the pretty view needed to be cleaned. The bathroom had mold. For 165 I was just not one bit impressed. Oh and no coffe had to buy that separate!” Aug 17, 2009 by
Rick from Bratrice,NE
“The beds were very poor quality and I had to have housekeeping bring a pad as I could feel the springs in the mattress. The carpet was shot through out the hotel, the pool had most of the areas closed off during the summer stay. The cafe food was poor, burnt pancakes at 2 in the morning wasn't what I was looking for. The tram to Mandalay bay was shut down. The prices in this hotel are like a 4-star hotel.” Aug 16, 2009 by
carol from Santa Rosa,CA
“disappointed with the room accommodations, beds uncomfortable, linens faded” Aug 14, 2009 by
Kenneth from Mabank,TX
“While this hotel appears attractive from the outside the staff is terrible and the beds are worse. I've slept in better beds in a Motel 6! The cleaning lady knocked and opened our door for cleaning at 8:30 AM. The only recovery we were offered by the staff was one hour later to check out, by then we just wanted to leave.” Aug 14, 2009 by
Emilie from Solana Beach, CA
“Nothing is worse than being over advertised to. Do not present the hotel, vacation package as more than it is. The place is not a resort. It is not fancy. There are no upgraded amenities. We were given a downgraded room. Told to take or leave it. The free tickets, seated behind pillars. Could not get hold of room service (10-20 minute phone wait). The trip was bad. Very bad. If we were told what to expect, would have paid accordingly. No problem. We were told to expect luxury, entertainment, service, and paid for it, and got Hotel 6 with bright lights and big crowds.” Aug 11, 2009 by
Dexter from Belleville,Canada
“Location was great with a great express checkout. The rooms are on the smaller side and could use some updating.” Aug 10, 2009 by
from Sacramento,CA
“Gloomy room, brown furniture carpet reminds me of a skating ring, dirty doors, wouldn't let my bags touch the top comforter, black marks on sheets, shower door was clean, no i pod connection, this room is a bit below standard although it is located in a nice hotel. The access to clubs is nice if you don't care about the room. I was told the upgraded rooms are much nicer, it's like motel 6 inside a nice casino and then the rooms that are nice are no where near where you are staying.--All bad for the person that enjoys the room experience, getting ready esp. in Vegas!” Aug 10, 2009 by
Rachel from North Las Vegas,NV “We were in the Pyramid Tower, which meant our room was one of the original rooms built for the hotel. The furniture was dingy, the bed was uncomfortable and the lighting was terrible. Even the glassware in the bathroom was dirty. I've stayed at the Luxor in the past and been given the option of what tower we would like to stay in. The front desk didn't ask this time and I was appalled when we got to the room. If we had been staying for more than one night I would have complained.” Aug 10, 2009 by
Robert from Sunbury,OH
“Very nice hotel for the money.” Aug 3, 2009 by
Luis from Tampa,FL
“Great location, family friendly, good price.
Aug 3, 2009 by
Beth from Mesa,AZ
“I only stay at hotels that are 4 star or higher, so I expected this to be the quality I am used to, it wasn't. The beds sheets/comforters were low quality, the floor had a hole in it and I tripped on it, the door handle was broken so it took 4 or 5 tries every time to get in to the room, the TV remote didn't work and one of the lights was out. I complained and they upgraded me to a nicer room free of charge. That "suite" was poorly lit, still low quality bedding, and the heater was broken. I spent the whole night shivering and had to call maintenance twice and it still was never corrected. I would NEVER stay there again.” Aug 2, 2009 by
Lisa from Elkhart,IN
“Nice hotel but the room was not a four star. Definitely needs updated, the bed was old and soft, carpet was worn and the wallpaper was coming loose. Most four stars have nicer TV's and free movies. Could use a coffee pot. The pool was okay, the one pool was closed for a day due to something floating in it. This was our 38th wedding anniversary and when we asked for a complimentary meal we were told no. Even terrible gives complimentary meal tickets.” Jul 27, 2009 by
from San Diego,CA
“Don't do it!” Jul 24, 2009 by
Tom from Calgary,Canada
“We enjoyed the Luxor and the price we paid was very good. We found this hotel was very smokey compared to the other howels/casinos.” Jul 20, 2009 by
Catherine from Fayetteville,GA
“I would love the opportunity to stay here again. The rooms were outstanding, the location was great, and the entertainment was fun!!” Jul 10, 2009 by
Stephanie from Bakersfield,CA
“The lobby/casino of the Luxor was cool and quite impressive. It was clean and there is a lot to do without leaving the hotel. Registration was always busy, so arrive early and be prepared to wait 20-60 minutes checking in. Also, there is a $12 resort fee charge per day. Not sure what it's really for, but you pay it upfront. Our room was in the pyramid. It was good sized and had a nice view. Room was a little outdated and the bed wasn't anything special. Bathroom was nice and it had a large shower. Only real problem was housekeeping never came even after 2 phone calls. The hotel made it up to us by returning the resort fee charge. The Luxor wasn't as bad as a lot of people make it sound(at least it wasn't for us), but the rooms are definitely not a 4 star quality. A quick side note, use the valet. The attendants were awesome! Very friendly and willing to help any way they could.” Jul 10, 2009 by
Larry from Rancho Cucamonga,CA
“Everything was enjoyable and convenient.” Jul 4, 2009 by
Greg from Austin,TX
“Very nice hotel, very pleasant staff. Was upgraded to deluxe suite without asking or needing to. Room was spacious, cool (very hot outside), and very nice. Swimming pool was a little on the small side, though they do have 3 pools.” Jul 4, 2009 by
kay from Milwaukee,WI
“The luxor is almost like two seperate hotels, between the pyramid and the towers. The pyramid rooms are noisy, dirty, and dark. We were originally in those rooms and forced them to upgrade us to the tower rooms, it was a world of difference.” Jul 4, 2009 by
from Mullica Hill,NJ
“The Luxor is old and stinky, the shades are ripped, the floor is in a deplorable condition and the buffet is gross. It was a big let down.” Jul 2, 2009 by
Ann from Farmington Hills,MI
“Very young and out of control guests. Hotel was shabby.” Jul 1, 2009 by
Phil from Palmdale,CA
“The Luxor Las Vegas is a horrible hotel. Do not stay here. There was a 12 dollar mandatory hotel charge for the phone and bottled water that we were told we would find in our room. The room floor was dirty, the shower contained hair from one of the previous guest. They did send a house keeper to vacuum but it took 3 hours. The parking is horrible.” Jun 27, 2009 by
Deb from Wimberley,TX
“Just OK. Beware of mandatory fees for unwanted services.” Jun 25, 2009 by
Dianne from Yorba Linda,CA “They charged a 10 dollar resort fee on top of what I had to pay.” Jun 23, 2009 by
Brandie from Kingman,AZ
“The room was warm (air conditioning unit not working well - room not very pleasant). The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The hotel staff was unfriendly and not very helpful.” Jun 23, 2009 by
Mark from Lucas,TX
“The pool area was very rowdy, my children were afraid to even go down to it. The room was disgusting. There were several spots on the carpet. The walls and curtains had water spots everywhere. The corridors were very dark and dingey. There was one elevator for our floor, it took forever for it to get to us. This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Definitely closer to a 2 star rating.” Jun 20, 2009 by
Tracy from Incline Village,NV
“The Luxor is a worn out hotel located at the end of the strip it is a $13.00 cab ride to get to Ceasars each way. The rooms are dirty (I had black mold on my shower ledge). The tower rooms are better than being stuck in the pyramid.” Jun 19, 2009 by
Rose from San Diego,CA
“Great hotel for the price, pretty quiet, but expect to really get in some walking as it is on the end of the strip there is a monorail that is located nearby, that helps you get around. Jun 15, 2009 by
Stacey from Norman,OK
“There were a lot of drunk 20-somethings running around always. We had to walk past a club to get to our room which was impossible on Friday and Saturday night. The slot machines did not pay anything. Paid $30 for a couple of hot dogs. We only stayed at Luxor to sleep.” Jun 12, 2009 by
Jack from Surprise,AZ
“This is the first time we stayed at The Luxor. We found the experience to our liking. The hotel staff is friendly and eager to make sure your stay is enjoyable.” Jun 11, 2009 by
Ciara from San Francisco,CA
“The Hotel was in a convenient location. It felt old and a little drab, but the layout of the rooms are nice and I loved the big bathroom.” Jun 11, 2009 by
Blake from Greensburg,IN
“The staff were not all that friendly, I did not feel that it was worthy of a four star rating. I have stayed in numerous four star hotels and this hotel is just not there.”
