• The hotel was clean.
• Staff unfriendly not helpful, room uncomfortable.

“The room was warm (air conditioning unit not working well - room not very pleasant). The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The hotel staff was unfriendly and not very helpful.”

• Nothing stands out.
• Cleanliness of the room, no view at all, 1 elevator for each level.

“The pool area was very rowdy, my children were afraid to even go down to it. The room was disgusting. There were several spots on the carpet. The walls and curtains had water spots everywhere. The corridors were very dark and dingey. There was one elevator for our floor, it took forever for it to get to us. This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Definitely closer to a 2 star rating.”

• Valet parking was free.
• Worn out.

“The Luxor is a worn out hotel located at the end of the strip it is a $13.00 cab ride to get to Ceasars each way. The rooms are dirty (I had black mold on my shower ledge). The tower rooms are better than being stuck in the pyramid.”

• Comfort and price.
• Check-in was really long.

“Great hotel for the price, pretty quiet, but expect to really get in some walking as it is on the end of the strip there is a monorail that is located nearby, that helps you get around.
I would stay here again and recommend it for those looking for a good price and comfort without all the Vegas craziness.”

• Short line on Wednesday.
• Loud and clubby. Perfect for a 20 year old.

“There were a lot of drunk 20-somethings running around always. We had to walk past a club to get to our room which was impossible on Friday and Saturday night. The slot machines did not pay anything. Paid $30 for a couple of hot dogs. We only stayed at Luxor to sleep.”

• The size and layout of the room and bathroom.
• The towels, and bedding were very bad. They were old, dingy, and uncomfortable.

• Swimming pool was very nice, luxor theming is interesting.
• Parking was a long walk from room, housekeeping never came, rooms were dated.

“Luxor is good budget strip property but I don't think it meets quality standards of a 4-star property. The pool is great and the front desk people are generally friendly but there's some major flaws. The parking lot is long walk from your room no matter where you are. It takes a day at the hotel just to learn your way around. Housekeeping was less than efficient while we were there and never came to clean our room.”

• The lobby was nice and clean and the surrounding casino.
• The rooms were dirty, outdated, and no extra features. It is compared to a 2.5 star w/out a doubt not a 4 star as indicated.

“I would never stay in this hotel again nor recommend it to anyone. We could not even get extra pillows until the next day because they had none. No comfortable bed either, it was a horrible experience.”

• Carpet was coming up off the halls and someone could fall.

“My room was filthy. There were dirty glasses and other items left by previous guests. The carpet was coming up off the floor in the hallway. The windows were dirty. I would not stay here again. They are not maintaining the building at all. The elevators were falling apart. There were holes in some of the walls.”

• I like the places they had to eat and the ability to get out was nice.
• The staff, they were rude and not very helpful. Not at all impressed.

• Constant noise "music" everywhere.

“The early warning alarm went off at 1 in the moriningion for 45 minutes. There was no information for the guests, as to if we needed to start down the 22 floors. The first night was not a good experience.”

• The non-smoking room in the Tower of Luxe was really non-smoking and smelled clean.
• The cashiers at the Starbucks and in the hotel general store were not friendly.

“I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room in the Luxor Tower. It was my first time requesting for a non - smoking room in Vegas where I couldn't smell smoke from other rooms or previous guests.”

• Location is excellent, check in and out process was
  excellent.
• Rooms are totally outdated. Very dark.

“Check in was super easy. I thought staff was great. Rooms were clean, very outdated, carpets are stained, bedding was very worn as well as the furniture. It was very dark in the room and I had every light on. The room was close to elevator and casino. Noise level was fine however my friend could hear music early from the pool as we were right above the pool. We went to the buffet and it was good.”

• Close to main strip.
• Poor service, and rundown condition.

“We were told upon arrival that they only had one bellhop and he was busy. There was a tray of food left outside of our room from the previous guest until we called that night to have it removed. We were on the sixth floor and could not sleep until around 4 am when the night club closed. Overall, the hotel is rundown and difficult to navigate.”

• It was conveniently located on the Las Vegas Strip.
• Dated, not very clean, and small rooms.

“We stayed at the Luxor about 10 years ago and had a great stay. I would guess that these rooms have not been updated at all since then. We actually had to walk down a hallway that had concrete floors and only sheet rock on the walls for about 30 yards. Calling this hotel a 4-star does a disservice to your customers.”

• Very contemporary casino.
• Room was on the 1st floor, in front of Starbucks. Noisy.

“Luxor's casino is great but the hotel was sold out that night and my room was on the 1st floor right in front of Starbucks, at 6 am Starbucks speaker was blasting right into my room. At night there was so much noise because it's right next to the casino so it's loud. Never stay on the 1st floor of this hotel.”

• Sales people every feet trying to sell shows, very intrusive.

“The hotel itself was outstanding, the staff unfortunately was less so. The only staff that seemed pleasant were the housekeepers and the valets. The desk staff seemed either disgruntled or just uninterested, not blaming given the volume of people that must be dealt with, just pointing it out.”

• Nice interior in the commons area.
• Housekeeping never had a completed room there was always something.

“I would not recommend the Luxor to anyone. The food was poor at best, hey this is Las Vegas. The first room was not adequate. I was moved to an upgraded room. The room was in the back 40 so to say. The TV was a regular 27 with poor channel selections, over half was the hotel and ppv type. The housekeeping never got the room right once. I had to call at 10:30 pm upon my return to the room as the toilet was not cleaned and the bed had stained sheets on it. The pillows were like waffles, the mattress was okay but not 4 star quality. The next night the pillow case was so thread bare it ripped in half. There something not complete in the room everyday, i.e. towels missing, soap missing, pillow left on the floor with no pillow case etc. The floors out of the commons areas had stains in them even in the room. Will never stay there again! Too many choices Las Vegas to put up with these issues.”

“Maybe you have to like dark, tacky, hard to navigate hotels, but otherwise, I would never stay at the Luxor or recommend it to anyone. I slept on my daughter's living room floor the last night rather than spend one more night at the Luxor.”

“There's a VIP check-in if you're staying at the Tower Deluxe. LAX (the club) was particularly awesome, I totally recommend you going here and you get in free if you stay in the hotel.”

“The Luxor definitely needs refurbishing. The carpets are worn, the moldings chipped and it looks like it's seen better days. There was a wet towel in the bathtub and it looked as though someone had recently showered in the room. The hotel did give me a slightly newer room which was an improvement. All the rooms are very dark with not enough lighting, which may be designed to hide some of the flaws.

• I liked the location and the amenities of this hotel.
• I did not like the service charges for internet capability or that there was no complimentary airport shuttle.

“I enjoyed all the entertainment of this hotel. However I felt that $13 was a lot to charge for only 24 hours of internet service, so I went without. Other than that, my friend and I had a great time.”

• There were too many people trying to sell us timeshares every time we walked in. It became very annoying!

• The pool area was great. Service was great and facility was kept very clean.
• The hotel and rooms were all too dark and the layout was confusing.
