• Clean and accessible. Fine enough.
• Getting to the room was a labyrinth of corridors and stairs.

“As long as you don't pay very much for the room, this was fine. But accommodations at other 3-star Vegas hotels have been much better. I recommend Circus Circus, Stratosphere and The Orleans.”

• Nothing.
• Small filthy rooms! Dreary.

“Looked like a good price. Wrong! Do not stay here if you can afford better. If I could rate the hotel less than a one, I would. No elevator in our building (across the alley), filthy, filthy carpets, dreary and small, smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a motel! No tube just a tiny stand up shower right next to the toilet.”

“I needed a place to stay because my flight came in late. A big group came in and I got bumped to the
very back of this building, I had to walk 10 minutes to get to my room. When I walked in the room smelled very bad, and there was a cockroach on the wall. They told me it was the only room I had and I could take it or leave it. I had no choice I never even slept in the bed I slept on it.”

• It was off the strip.
• They charge me $16.00 a day for thing I do not need up front.

“I did like the $16.00 charge because in the room it said it was free. Because the price was more and the room were bad (my view of my window was a wall).”

• Freebies at check-in.
• Noxious smell from the bathroom (sewage backup).

“I arrived at the hotel and had to spend a few minutes searching for parking which was not bad. The check in process was easy. The lobby was very clean and had music playing. I was given a map of the area and directed to my room. I left the hotel lobby and walked across the parking lot to the courtyard. I was slightly discouraged to discover there were no stairs. Once I arrived at my room it was very warm and smelled awful. I immediately determined the source of the smell as the bathroom, so I closed the door and turned the air conditioner on high. I also discovered a few different stains on my sheets.”

• The attendant that gives out the preferred card was very nice and the food and staff at the buffet.
• The rooms at the courtyard need a lot of updating, very ugly rooms.

“The courtyard rooms are horrible, very old bedspreads and TVs, much updating needs to be done to these rooms. Whoever stays should definitely choose tower they are nice. The desk clerk was very unprofessional as he did not greet me when I approached the desk, he was yawning as he checked me in, and didn't even say thank you, enjoy your stay or nothing! Maybe he could use a bit more training. The only thing I really liked was the workers at the buffet and their food.”

“This place is a wonderful Vegas spot. To those of you who don't like it, don't go there. The locals hang out here and really have been very welcoming to us. We have been there 4 times, and will continue to go. Great food, and fun gambling with low minimums. Just an all around great time.”

• Old school casino hotel half mile from the Las Vegas Bvld.

• The rooms I stayed in were like a Motel 6 with a Casino attached.

“I wasn't exactly pleased with the type of room I got. I'm sure they have better rooms, but when I checked in, I was offered crap. I had to take it because it was 1am in the morning.”

• The place didn't seem clean at all. Tried to charge a $5.40 daily resort fee.

• Bathroom small & dark. Did not get what I booked.

“Clean room and a good location right off freeway. Lots of inexpensive eateries on premises. Good price point. Booked king size bed but got two double beds and could not be accommodated. Bathrooms are small and dark with really low showerhead. Overall, pretty good for money. I'd stay there again. Pros outweigh cons.”

• I disliked everything about this hotel.

“I was not impressed with this hotel. The hotel section and the room are extremely outdated. The room was not clean either. I saw hair in the restroom and the sheets didn't smell "fresh." The front desk staff will check you in and out but they are not guest service oriented at all.”

• The courtyard rooms are really small and the halls smelled like urine.

“I liked the main part of the hotel but the courtyard rooms are not very big and not worth it. Spend a little more money and get the tower room. They are much nicer. The casino was fun and they have a shuttle that takes you to the strip that leaves every 30 minutes! Take advantage of that! We ate the breakfast buffet in the morning and liked it.”

“Check-in was fast. The rooms and common areas are worn out and dirty. The carpet in the stairwells was grey, brown, and stiff with soil. The carpet in the room was soiled and stained and there was blood in the sheets. When I asked about this at the front desk, the guy said he didn't know what to do, so he checked me out. There are much better places to stay for about the same price.”

• Rules for getting a share of the jumbo jackpot are not posted.

“This is an inexpensive, but quality hotel/casino just off the freeway and away from the strip. They do not have a large showroom, but offer a shuttle to get to the strip or shopping. The rooms are newly remodeled and clean, even in the courtyard (motel type rooms). The staff was helpful and friendly, even under stress. Several options exist to eat that range from high end through a buffet or franchise fast food.”

• Nice casino but not happy about room.
• Room was very small, no smoking avail and cost too much to upgrade.

“We asked for an upgrade, because the room was too small, and right next to the freeway. The upgrade was terribly expensive; they were very unfriendly about it. There were a bunch of added expenses even without the upgrade.”

• Freeway side rooms can be noisy.

“Palace station is an affordable hotel casino in a reasonable off-strip location. Just off the freeway on Sahara it has a tower with larger rooms and motel like rooms in a two level courtyard. The courtyard rooms have been recently remodeled and have a tile bath with shower (no tubs), a free standing wardrobe, large television and comfortable beds. The casino has a good player club. Restaurants run from fast food franchises to upscale seafood and steaks. The staff is helpful; rooms clean and have a regular shuttle that will take guests to the strip. It doesn't have much in the way of shopping or live shows, but the economy of the stay can free up funds to find those elsewhere in Las Vegas.”

• Everyone was very helpful in getting around. The pub was a lot of fun.
• Courtyard rooms are quite skimpy in comparison to the tower rooms. We had no coffee maker or Kleenex.

“It was basically good. But there is a big difference between the courtyard rooms and the tower rooms. It's like 2 different hotels: a "motel 6" for the courtyard rooms and a "Hilton" for the tower. That was disappointing because I didn't realize the difference between the rooms would be so great. Maybe you need to have 2 rating for the different types of rooms. We were not there for leisure", we were there for my mother's funeral.”

“The hotel was pretty close to what we expected. It had good beds, a clean room, and nice staff at the front desk. The Jacuzzi felt good in the cool morning, but the outdoor pool was too cold (to be expected). The hotel's breakfast buffet was excellent at a fair price. Overall, it was quite family friendly for a hotel near the strip in Vegas.”

• The price was reasonable to its star rating. It wasn't too shabby, but less traumatic than the other hotels in the vicinity.
• It just had an old look to it. Didn't feel like Vegas.

“If you want a really inexpensive yet comfortable stay this would be an ideal place. It's inconvenient for those who really want to walk around the Vegas strip because you have to drive back and forth from the strip to the hotel and back or wait for the hourly bus to the strip.”

• They have an old barn out back, that's where they put me.

“I have stayed here before, in the tower. The rooms are acceptable in the main tower for a 2 1/2 star rating. But they have this old barn out back that was converted to room, looks like in the 1960's, it was small, low ceilings, smelt horrible, terrible accommodations. They would not change my room and I was not able to stay, had to go buy another room down the street. Yuck this place is horrible.”

“A helpful generous man was there and he upgraded our room because my mothers knees were bad and couldn't climb stairs. Our first impression was less than desirable but they made up for it. The lobby was clean, good buffet, and nice rooms.”

• For the price and location, it was pretty awesome.
• We were on the second floor with lots of luggage and no elevator.

“All in all, we had a great stay. My only real qualm was that outside of the room was the pool's speaker which started up at about 10 in the morning and for two people who work graveyard and swing and are on graveyard and swing schedules on vacation, 10 am is far too early.”

• Room had a couch and a decent view.
• Hotel fee I had to pay, no free internet, very smoky, not helpful front desk and hotel officers.

“I wasn't happy that they didn't have internet in their rooms. I had to go to the Kinko's and pay. Most hotels have free wireless service, but here they charged. As well, I wasn't too happy that they charged my card for a hotel service fee.”
