• Room's window faced a brick wall.

“Visit all the pools in the three hotels. We enjoyed the Venezia pool the most for its lushness and quieter atmosphere than the Venetian pool or the Palazzo pool which is right under a construction site. Grand Lux Cafe serves huge portions!”

• Elegant, classy, clean.
• The hotel and the room carried the smell of cigarettes.

“The Venetian hotel is a beautiful place, the two pools cater to different travelers, one for families, the other for young couples and single people. The casino is not too large nor too small and the restaurants available suit every different taste with great decor and service.”

• The room was great and had plenty of amenities.
• The staff was not very helpful.

“We had an incident with a bar bill and how it was to be settled. They told us that it had to be settled at that moment or the waitress would have to pay for it. Even though I was in the middle of going to one of their restaurants, I had to take care of it immediately. They were not accommodating as we asked to just bill it to the room. I really wanted to recommend this hotel as the grounds are beautiful, but the staff (particularly the management) really made this trip poor.”

• As always, great suites, comfy beds - it's the only way to go!
• Wait time for Grand Lux Cafe was a bit long. Floors seemed slippery in many parts of the hotel and restaurants, too.

• Everything was wonderful, very comfortable bed and silent room.
• The lobby Asian restaurant was open to lobby smoke, personnel were poorly trained, food just okay.

“Outstanding Hotel. Close proximity to anything worthwhile. Wonderful dining. Plenty of good parking. The only down-side. The Asian restaurant in the lobby. I would expect that package of food and service next door to the Red Roof.”

• We loved the rooms, they exceeded our expectations by far!
• There is a lot of construction going on by the pool making it more noisy than relaxing.

“Loved this hotel and it is variety of pools. I loved that I could sit in the pool on a lounger and read my book all at once. The rooms were breathtaking. I especially liked the TV over the bathtub!”

• Spacious elegant room with comfortable bed.
• When we checked in they did not have a room with a king size bed. In order to avoid waiting for an undetermined time we opted to take a smoking room.

“The hotel was awesome. Our only difficulty was at check in. We did not get our king size bed and we had to take a smoking room or wait or change rooms the following day.”

• It was very ornate.
• The rudeness of the hotel staff.

“This hotel is beautiful but the staff was rude, the room had a lot of things that didn't work and they didn't do or say anything about our honeymoon. The food service took twice and it took almost 45 mins to get our car out of valet. I was very disappointed in this hotel.”

• Wonderful room the best I have stayed in on the strip.
• Pool was not 5 star.

“Amazing rooms. We ordered the Japanese breakfast from room service. It was wonderful. I highly recommend it. The bathtub was very deep. Water came to my chin. I took a bath every night. Also bath salts were provided.”

• The location is perfect. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, entertainment.
• The Luxor has renovated, ruined the views, too many bars, not enough Casio floor.

“I have stayed at the Luxor several times the last time in 2005. They have renovated since then adding an atrium level and adding at least 5 different bars/clubs. The result is a huge reduction in the casino floor and there is no longer a view of the top from the casino floor and no view of the casino floor from the interior rooms! It is terrible! It's a casino for goodness sake, now all they have are bars and clubs. The restaurant/buffet is still one of the best in Vegas though! Terrific food. Also, the upgraded tower rooms are not really upgrades. The rooms don't have the external views, the pyramid rooms have and really the only difference is the bathtub! Don't take the upgrades unless they offer a suite. I was disappointed due to the changes but the rooms are clean and safe. Very good value for the price. Will stay again.”

• Loved the bathroom. Great shower, luxurious tub, awesome hygiene products.
• It was almost too big and crowded.

“The Venetian is just beautiful. Our suite was very elegant, roomy and tasteful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Just a gorgeous experience. I went on this trip with my husband. It was romantic and relaxed. Just a note - I wouldn't bring my toddler daughter to this hotel though because it just isn't very kid oriented or kid friendly. Which is great if you are traveling without kids! But if you are bringing any little ones, I wouldn't go to Venetian.”

• Met or exceeded our expectations for a resort hotel.
• Inflated cost of dinning even at food court.

“We were a party of six, three separate suites, all suites were same, well appointed, clean and the hotel service was excellent. Check in/out was pleasant and flawless. The pool area was a nice but had expectations of something larger, more elaborate and more green, rather stark in the Las Vegas sun. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.”

• Check-in and luggage service a nightmare. Carry your luggage to your room.

“Great location with walking distance to major casinos on the strip and lots of everything that you expect in Vegas is at the hotel. Very clean and good air quality for a casino where smoking can spoil your day.”

• I like it, but Venetian is not as good as I expected.
• Venetian hotel has dropped it's class.

“When I first walked into the room at Venetian, the light were not working. It turned out the light bulbs were out. And the 2nd day morning, house keeping knocked on my door to see if I am checking out today (I had the do not disturb sign on).”

• The walk to/from the lobby to the room was long.

• We love the quality of the hotel, the staff and the restaurants. It was fabulous.
• Our room was not ready when we arrived.

“They tried to upsell us to another room but decided to wait for them to clean one like we had requested. Outside of that, I have no problems with this hotel. My husband is home on his 2 week from Iraq so we desperately needed a romantic few days alone after being apart for 6 months. We will definitely go back.”

• Every room is a beautiful suite so you have plenty of room to relax!
• Takes forever to get to your room.

“This is one of the most beautiful hotels in Las Vegas. I have stayed at most of the high end resorts in Vegas and this 'normal' room was by far the best. Having a suite so you don't feel cramped is great. I highly recommend staying here.”

• It was too complicated to get to my room.

“The room was very beautiful, however, it was difficult to find. I had to take 2 elevators to get there, and because this hotel has casino style layout, it is easy to walk in circles and get lost. This hotel would not be recommended for seniors or those who have difficulty getting around. My traveling companion and I tried the stairwell once, to avoid the elevator crowds, and got lost in a maze in the basement! Luckily, 2 workers found us, and helped us find our way out! When that happened, we became quite aware of how difficult it would be to use an alternate escape route in case of a fire!”

“I have stayed at this hotel 3 times before and was shocked on how this hotel plummeted to the worst customer service. When I arrived to the hotel, there was no porter and no one helped me. My room was filthy and I actually found a dirty table cloth under the table. I called the front desk and was on hold for 20 minutes. I had to call for robes and more towels. I will never stay at this hotel again.”

• Slow room service -15 minute phone wait to front desk etc.

“The Venetian Hotel is just on the strip and far outshines all other offerings. Its classic theme of Europe and Italy are timeless and will not soon fade away. There is no reason to leave the resort and the next time we visit, we plan to spend all of our time there. You will not be disappointed if you stay there.”

• The smell in the hotel public space -- some kind of scent that was unpleasant.

“Hotel was beautiful, rooms great and spacious, particularly since this was my first trip to Vegas. Was put off with the scent that permeates through the hotel. Kind of like a bad sweet smell trying to cover a smoky smell. Very disappointed that they charged me $35/per night extra to have two beds instead of one. That was absolutely ridiculous.”

• Loved having more than one TV. Very comfortable beds. Bath and shower separate, WOW!
• Check in and elevators are at separate ends of casino.

• The gaming tables had limits that were too high.

“This is probably the nicest property in Vegas or one of the nicest. The basic suites are absolutely terrific and the staff very professional. They need to have lower minimum table stakes at some tables.”

• Room was outdated and overpriced; room was not ready for an hour; mini-bar was overpriced ($5 for water).

• The finest hotel room we've stayed at.
• We think my girlfriend's bottle of perfume was possibly stolen by the room cleaner.

“The Venetian has, probably, the nicest roomiest hotel room around - with a large bathroom, toilet in a closet, great toiletries, 3 flat screen TVs per suite, and so much space. The casino has multiple great eating establishments (we went to Bouchon - this was our second time there and it was just as good as the first time we went), great shops and entertainment. We would come back to the Venetian on all future visits to Vegas. The only downer was the fact that we think the hotel maid stole my girlfriend's perfume. She used it on Friday night and we went to the Grand Canyon on Saturday. Upon our return, we noticed the bottle of perfume was no longer there. When we reported this to the front desk, she just said to log a complaint with the security guards. We thought she was just dismissing us and so we didn't even bother to log a complaint.”

• Wandering drunks (I thought this was a classy hotel) and smoke in common areas.

“My room was in the Venezian tower which has all the Faux, rococo glory, Vegas can offer. The difficulty is that it is so far removed from the main portion of the hotel that it took a 12 minute walk to reach the casino, restaurants, etc.”
