“Treated like we were scamming. They couldn't and almost wouldn't communicate with the other side of the hotel where we were registered for the memberships and had an attitude when we asked them to clear it up. Customer service here is awful.”

• I had to drive, instead of fly to Vegas.

• Beautiful suites.
• Terrible customer service. Worse service than I've had at Excalibur, NYNY, Mirage, and MGM.

“This hotel is far from what you should expect of a 5 star. The rooms are nice, but if you have a problem it's a nightmare. The Venetian's customer service leaves much to be desired.”

• Lovely room, plush bed, feeling of peace and luxury.
• Had to requeat saop, robes, alarms went off in the middle of the night, housekeeping phoned early in morning to find out if they could clean the room.

“Probably merits the 5 star rating, but staff need to be a little more responsive. An alarm went off in the middle of the night with no warning and no apology. Staff seemed inurred and unresponsive to our calls. We had a problem with housekeeping and had to request regular room amenities more than once. The room was beautiful, the public spaces very clean, the location was more than adequate, but the annoyances were upsetting. I would return again but will be contacting the hotel with my concerns.”

• Almost everything was perfect.
• Parking valet took too long to get our car, twice.

“Very plush accommodations. Everyone was very friendly. Parking valet was a little slow. The minimum wait was 10 minutes. The maximum was 30 minutes.”

• Beautiful facilities, very comfortable beds and nice variety of restaurants.
• View of roof top outside window, food trays left in hallways that my spouse tripped on, make-up mirror nonfunctional, no slippers in our room.

  TV in bathroom, no remote control shades. Not the same quality room.

“Best hotel I have ever stayed in. The king size 2 inch of pillow top beds are to die for - was fast asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow. The decor is beautiful, the staff was friendly and the experience was fantastic. Highly recommended.”

• I always stay at the Veneitian. The experience is outstanding.
• It's a long distance from the Venezia Tower to the casino and Venetian Tower shops and pools.

• Elegant lobby, comfortable, renovated suites, good restaurants, canal attraction.
• Toilet claustrophobic. Kept hitting our heads on convex headboard. Casino needs renovation. Signage poor. Ridiculous linens at check in. Lax security.

• The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, the pool was great, and common areas were amazing.
• The layout was not very convenient, but did not take away from the experience.

• The location is great, but my room was not so great.
• The room i stayed in had thin walls.

“There is only one bathroom, the walls was thin and i could hear people walking down the hallway, the bathroom toilet room had no exhaust fan, the gondola ride was romantic yet so expensive for the time you get (the gondola person wouldnt even take a picture of us. The pool was not as great as i expected. The minimum table bets was so high. This hotel is over rated.”

• The room was very modern.
• Was not super clean. Had no view.

“Good hotel for gamblers but like all the large casinos has no character despite a mighty effort. Is really a mix of pieces of what other casino hotels have. Nothing original. Quite honestly I don't think I would stay there again. Pricy for food and very impersonal as I guess one should expect from a hotel casino of that size.”

• Rooms are all remodeled, and large. Hotel itself is a destination.
• There was a flowery perfume smell that was at times over powering.

“Venetian is a great hotel that is a destination unto itself. The rooms are large and well kept, the restaurants are top shelf, and the location can't be beat. Not the biggest pool (Bellagio is much nicer), but all in all nice enough to relax a bit.”

• Carpet was wet. Had to change rooms. Excessive smoke in casino area.

“Large luxury hotel with all services. Would have preferred a facility that is entirely non smoking (the smoke in the casino area was healthy). Shops and restaurants are interesting. The staff was great.”

• I really liked the room and the bedding was remarkably comfortable.
• The checkout staff was abrupt and inflexible, the delay on any call made to housekeeping or the front desk was up to 20 minutes, the sink backed up!

“While I found the Luxury Suite at The Venetian to be very nice and the bedding area very secluded and romantic with remarkably comfortable bedding, one of my double sinks kept backing up throughout the weekend making a lot of noise and creating a mess. This unfortunately detracted from the romantic atmosphere. I had tried to call guest services to have this taken care of but was always on hold for up to or over 20-30 minutes and had plans to attend to, so this was never taken care of. Upon mentioning it during checkout I was barely offered an inaudible apology and was not offered any sort of compensation to make up for this inconvenience. The room overall was clean but the hallway was smelled somewhat stale. I was also expected to pay $100 up front for incidentals even though I made it clear I would not be utilizing any - a policy I don't agree with especially since the Mandalay Bay had not expected the same thing the week prior. The checkout staff was very abrupt and inflexible, were not allowing my guest and I to delay our scheduled checkout past 11:30 am even though she was under the weather and our flight did not leave until 6:00 pm.”

• Comfortable beds, large rooms, top quality linens and robes, fairly clean pool area.
• Ridiculously overpriced, and it is better to develop a smoking habit before you leave to make the adjustment easier.

“Of course this is a nice hotel, but there are few true "dumps" in Las Vegas. The one thing that stands out about this hotel is that it is fabulous only in its hype. It is probably the most overpriced hotel I have stayed in, and you better like cigarette smoke, because you cannot escape it. There is enough second hand smoke to please the most discriminating smoker who wants to give the appearance of quitting but have all the benefits of a three-pack-a-day chain smoker. You can do just as well at a far lower price in Vegas.”

• The design, architecture and construction quality. Beautiful.
• No armoire nor in-room safe.

“The Venetian is a beautiful hotel. The construction, the art, the materials with which it is built makes it an awesome place to visit and stay. The suites are likewise wonderful and the beds are great. Some of the restaurants offer great dining experiences, like Aqua Knox, while others suffer, like the Enoteca San Marco that over salts the food and serves cold stale bread wrapped in paper. The pool areas are nice, but during the hotter summer months, more umbrellas would be good. The entertainment, like the Phantom of the Opera, is fantastic. The gambling, win or lose, is a pleasant experience due to the staff.”

“This hotel was great, very comfortable and great design. We have only one complaint. Room service was not the greatest. When we first walked into our room, we noticed the drinking and wine glasses were not changed. However, we called the front desk and received everything within 30 minutes. Everything else was perfect. Definitely recommend this place.”

“Visit all the pools in the three hotels. We enjoyed the Venezia pool the most for its lushness and quieter atmosphere than the Venetian pool or the Palazzo pool which is right under a construction site. Grand Lux Cafe serves huge portions!”

• The hotel and the room carried the smell of cigarettes.

“The Venetian hotel is a beautiful place, the two pools cater to different travelers, one for families, the other for young couples and single people. The casino is not too large nor too small and the restaurants available suit every different taste with great decor and service.”

• The room was great and had plenty of amenities.
• The staff was not very helpful.

“We had an incident with a bar bill and how it was to be settled. They told us that it had to be settled at that moment or the waitress would have to pay for it. Even though I was in the middle of going to one of their restaurants, I had to take care of it immediately. They were not accommodating as we asked to just bill it to the room. I really wanted to recommend this hotel as the grounds are beautiful, but the staff (particularly the management) really made this trip poor.”

• As always, great suites, comfy beds - it's the only way to go!
• Wait time for Grand Lux Cafe was a bit long. Floors seemed slippery in many parts of the hotel and restaurants, too.

• Everything was wonderful, very comfortable bed and silent room.
• The lobby Asian restaurant was open to lobby smoke, personnel were poorly trained, food just okay.

“Outstanding Hotel. Close proximity to anything worthwhile. Wonderful dining. Plenty of good parking. The only down-side. The Asian restaurant in the lobby. I would expect that package of food and service next door to the Red Roof.”

• We loved the rooms, they exceeded our expectations by far!
• There is a lot of construction going on by the pool making it more noisy than relaxing.

“Loved this hotel and it is variety of pools. I loved that I could sit in the pool on a lounger and read my book all at once. The rooms were breathtaking. I especially liked the TV over the bathtub!”

• Spacious elegant room with comfortable bed.
• When we checked in they did not have a room with a king size bed. In order to avoid waiting for an undetermined time we opted to take a smoking room.

“The hotel was awesome. Our only difficulty was at check in. We did not get our king size bed and we had to take a smoking room or wait or change rooms the following day.”

• It was very ornate.
• The rudeness of the hotel staff.

“This hotel is beautiful but the staff was rude, the room had a lot of things that didn't work and they didn't do or say anything about our honeymoon. The food service took twice and it took almost 45 mins to get our car out of valet. I was very disappointed in this hotel.”

• Pool was not 5 star.

“Amazing rooms. We ordered the Japanese breakfast from room service. It was wonderful. I highly recommend it. The bathtub was very deep. Water came to my chin. I took a bath every night. Also bath salts were provided.”
