• The hotel was aesthetically beautiful and inviting.
• After we were already checked into our room and left for dinner, a hotel employee left a grocery style bag of 6 dirty glasses in our room.

“Very nice however, was not fully satisfied by the Concierge desk employee who failed at the only single task we asked of her. The room was great, however, the 6 filthy glasses in a grocery style bag left in our room after we had checked in and left for dinner was absolutely unacceptable and disgusting.”

• Architecture was great, plenty of restaurants and activities in the hotel.
• No spa tub in room, no coffee pot in room, & had to request small refrigerator.

“Beautiful hotel and lots of activities without leaving premises. For the level of amenities and service, I would have expected to have a spa tub, coffee pot and refrigerator (other than the one with chargeable snacks) in the room.”

• Poor resolution of problems like lack of bathrobes. 5 star hotel but we had to pay for internet lose.

“This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Anyway, we get there at one in the morning and it turns out they overbooked the entire weekend. There are families and groups of people stranded in their lobby sitting around waiting for their rooms. They told us that we would have our room in two hours. Families with little kids and senior citizen couples were stranded around the lobby sleeping on the floor and no one from management was telling us what was going on. They let us sit there with no explanations and no compensation for our time on the floor. In fact, security was telling people to stop sleeping in the lobby, but people didn't have anywhere to go! Management was telling people to wait in the lobby and security was telling people not to loiter in the lobby. It was a horrible way to treat guests of the hotel. And the two hours that we were supposed to wait turned into seven. We got our room at quarter to eight in the morning. And the room that we reserved with two king beds wasn't even available. They gave us a king bed and one couch with a pull out bed in a room that wasn't that well cleaned. There were half drunken juice bottles by the window which we noticed when we opened the curtain. They said they would call us once our original room was ready. No one contacted us all weekend. I will never stay in this hotel again. Try to stay somewhere else.”

• Staff was friendly and helpful.
• Quite the maze when getting to/from your room.

“The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff was polite and eager to help. However if you have children, a large party or anyone in your party that cannot walk long distances, is confused with directions easily or things of that nature I would recommend a smaller hotel perhaps just off the strip.”

“We were treated fabulously from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. Hotel is luxuriant. Staff is more than accommodating. Safety was never a worry. Met, and even exceeded all expectations. Ate in three of the many restaurants, made eating out at home a sad affair. Would recommend it highly! Hope I have the chance to stay on another occasion.”

• Everything is at your finger tips, restaurants, shops, gambling, spa, etc. Nothing was spared. I even experienced an art gallery of renown artists.
• A few employees behind counters did not take time to acknowledge me as they attended to matters or left the area.

“99% of the employees were friendly, helpful, and seemed to care about service and attitude. It was obvious that the owner built the facility and spared nothing to make one feel special. Parking was a breeze. The entrance is spectacular! The marable throughout, including the bathrooms, raised the bar. The lightness of the casino made it inviting to be there. The only negative is too much smoking, including cigar smoke. I had to leave certain areas when a smoker sat beside me. However, I always was able to find another machine to play.”

“To be 5 star, everything has to be catered to the guest and that is what the Venetian is lacking in. Even the time it takes for the front desk to answer the phone.”

• The beds were extremely comfortable.

“The hotel was spectacular. Our room was nice and the beds were incredible to sleep on. It was very expensive to buy water or soda pop in bottles. I would recommend buying these items elsewhere and bringing them with. The gaming floor was alive with activity and very contagious. A great place to bring someone on a first visit to Vegas.”

• The room was very well appointed, modern, spacious, and romantic!
• We wished it came with a coffee maker.

“Wow, what more can we say other than, "It's The Venetian!" The suite was very clean, very well appointed, spacious w/a sunken living room, modern yet felt like a European experience. Our toddler kids (and us to) thoroughly enjoyed the suite and pools and the fact we were on the strip next to other 5-star hotels.”

• The room and amenities were fantastic.

“My stay at the Venetian was great. The rooms were spacious and had all of the amenities expected from a luxury hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will plan to stay there again when I return to Las Vegas.”

• This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at.
• It is quite large so getting around tended to be exhausting.

“The Venetian in Las Vegas is my new favorite hotel. The suite was beautiful, the restaurants fantastic, and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.”

“Enjoyed my stay at the Venetian. The room was comfortable and large, however there was no fridge or coffee-maker. It also seems like all the showers drain slowly which can be an inconvenience.”

• Dealers are rude and cocky.

“This hotel does its job of making sure you never leave: the rooms are amazing, the pools are great, restaurants are awesome, and the poker room has the best service!”

• Beautiful room and pool.

“Venetian is a wondrous establishment located in the prime of Las Vegas strip. The suite was gigantic including three plasma screens and remote-controlled curtains. It also houses some of the best shows in Vegas and many of the great restaurants as well. The shopping mall was very plush and the pool provided some fun recreation.”

• Exceptionally clean, great service, great food.
• Food, water, etc pricey, pool oily layer on water!, security checks.

“Big wow factor for kids, staff met or exceeded expectations at every request, loved the gourmet chocolates at turn-down service, first hotel I stayed at where I had no complaints with housekeeping (not even in the corners of the shower!). Drawback: hard to get around there's so many turns and attachments--everything is a long walk, charge for work-out equipment, have to show room key every time you pass in halls (good security, though).”

“Beautiful, pools were warm, gym was second to none. Rooms are gorgeous, artwork is phenomenal. The smell, however made us all ill. I don't know what in the heck they pump into the air conditioning but it was awful. It wasn't so bad in the room, but it dries up your nose and stings your eyes and was really offensive. The reservationists acted like I was crazy and said what smell? Food all pretty expensive except for a little Jewish deli near Crispy Creme. Great sandwiches and really inexpensive and they have matzo ball soup hooray.”

• The hotel is situated in the perfect spot, hotel room was beautifully appointed, employees were wonderful.
• We were locked out of our room but no security service came by to let us in, we eventually got in.

“This is an excellent five star hotel, we would recommend it to all our family members who frequent Las Vegas. Would have liked to have been helped back to our room when both our cards would not work on the door, we ended up locked out for over 30 minutes. After we called the front desk and no one showed, we tried the two card for over 30 times and finally worked. We stay in hotels at least 2 times a month (for leisure), as a frequent business traveler, my husband travels and stays at different hotels 5 times a month. Never had this problem (inconvenience). Overall, we would love to stay at this hotel and would look to reserving our stay at your hotel before attempting to reserve at the other hotels in the area. Thank you.”

• Did not have room ready. Had incorrect room information. Late availability of room. slow staff at check-in.

“We waited over 30 to register once we made it to the counter because the hotel had the wrong room reservation (smaller room). The counter person went away for almost 30 minutes and upon return informed us that they had to have "special" manager authorization to release the room; I had a printed reservation so I could not understand the problem. We waited 3 HRS (registration originally told me 15 minutes) to have our second room ready because of their mistake and I had to continuously keep calling to have them get our second room released to us. First room's TVs were both not operating ant they offered to fix them the next day and upon complain, the manager contacted us and had us re-located to another suite. The view from the first room was horrific. It was as bad as looking at an alley. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and clean and we loved the TV in the bathroom. Great hotel but they need to work on their check in process; the experience was horrible!”

• I like the art of the hotel, the look, the food, it was really romantic. The rooms were descent.
• I really didnt like the floor I was staying at, the view from out the window was pretty bad, it was all the roofs, and couldnt see the strip view.

“I think the hotel is really nice for the family travelers, for just be with your second half, and for business. Really arty, really beautiful, great restaurants, great staff, you feel like you are in Italy.”

• The local of the hotel, finding it on the strip was tough at first.

“In this day of travel, having to pay $9.95 for internet connection is unacceptable. I felt as though they were attempting to nickel and dime the consumer with this charge and it affected my outlook on this wonderful hotel. This alone would cause me to never stay there again.”

• At check-out time, the line to check baggage was pretty long.

“By far the nicest property I have ever been booked at through a discounter. Bathroom was bigger than some hotel rooms I have stayed in. Big Shower, Big, Deep Bath-tub, separate water closet, TV. Two big flat screens. Split level bedroom and living room areas. Sofa (foldout), love seat, recliner, & desk. As family friendly as any casino hotel can be.”

• The hall way noise but it is Vegas and people don't go to bed early like I do.

• Room wasn't available, and very complex in finding anything.

“Upon arrival (checked in at 3 pm as stated/recommended), my room was NOT available so I had to settle with a smoking room and I don't smoke and hate it. When I asked the why I my non-smoking room isn't available the clerk quickly/slightly rudely said "your late to checking in." I told her it said 3 pm "how am I late?" she just said all non-smoking rooms are currently not available and I can get one tomorrow If I call in the morning. The room was very nice and large along with the clean/nice bathroom. Although the beds pillows had cigarette burns on them that was the only downfall, besides the smell. Twice and at different times house-keeping tried to enter my room with me inside and the privacy please notice on the door and when they tried to enter it seemed like they were trying to forcefully enter! I thought I was going to get robbed or something. House cleaning touched my stuff even though it wasn't in the way and I had to buy new toothbrushes (that were in my suitcase and taken out) and other personal affects due to this. And the layout of the hotel can be more thoughtful of guests. Got lost many times trying to find restaurants and when I asked for help the staff wasn't in the mood to polite fully tell me where to go. Seemed like more of hassle for them. The shops were great and convenient but the Restaurants were terribly over-priced for the quality and taste of the dishes they serve. They don't come close to the chefs that the restaurant represents. I've had actual food from the Iron Chef's and others that have the same menu that the Vegas copy has. But again taste didn't compare to the original. I ate at other hotels after the first day of Venetian restaurants. Casino was nice but the waitress service for drinks was very slow and not too frequent despite the courteous tips I gave as well as when I gave the slot machines, and blackjack tables even more and more money. Went out for gambling as well. Overall the location was great.”

“Other than being overwhelmingly huge, it was lovely. But it IS very crowded and busy and check-in even at 11 PM was NUTS. The room was huge and lovely, though and the restaurants we ate in were great.”

• The hotel room was very nice and clean.
• The hallway on our floor did not seem to get cleaned very often. Seen same food and glass on the floor for 2 days.

“Overall, the Venetian Hotel was very nice. For the most part clean, except the hallway to our room. The same garbage (food and glass) seemed to be on the floor in the same spot for over 2 days. The room was cleaned once a day, with tidy-up and turns down service in the evening. (I think they forgot to vacuum.) These items are very petty, and my overall stay was nice and comfortable, I guess for the money I spent, I wanted perfection.”

• Awesome sight, friendly staff/ nice stores.
• Charge for Internet Access in rooms is disgraceful when a no-name hotel offers the same for free.

“The Venetian offers lives up to its hype and offers everything from decadent lobbies to Gondola Rides (you have to part with an arm and a leg) to elegantly appointed rooms. Blue Man Group' and 'The Phantom of the Opera' are dated shows and could do with a breath of fresh air.”
