“This motel is nice and clean and the warm chocolate chip cookies handed to you upon arrival made you feel very welcome. The room was great and the pool and whirlpool were very enjoyable.”

• I loved the view from the hotel room. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable which is not always the case at hotels.
• I did not like the fact that the hotel did not have a complimentary continental breakfast.

“I was very happy with my stay at the Doubletree Club hotel. The view of the Boise foothills was great from the room. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable. I will stay here again if I ever need a hotel in Boise some other time!”

• Was put in a room with one double bed, no coffee maker, no portable fridge, no frills, very basic.

“I had to pay $10.00 for a portable fridge, that they had forgotten to clean from some other quest. The receptionist, asked me what I expected, that is why they cal it a Double Tree "club" hotel. We were placed directly above the hotels air conditioning units, which whirled and buzzed 24/7, for the 2 nights we stayed.”

• We didn't want our cookies right away, so they gave us cpns to receive them later, so they would be warm when we ate them.
• The maid forgot to replace the regular coffee & there was only decaf in our room. The TV remote was missing.

• Staff was eager to help a senior lady move luggage and be comfortable.
• There was a noisy sports team next door late night and it took 3 calls to get security.

“Have stayed here perhaps 6 times and have been satisfied. Friendly and helpful staff and comfortable rooms. My last stay was marred by a noisy party next door but that is not usual. Altogether I recommend this hotel, you will be treated well. Excellent for visiting Boise State U.”

• The front desk staff where always helpful, informative and enjoyable to talk to.
• There wasn't a continental breakfast. I will probably consider a different hotel.

“While the front desk were extremely polite, helpful, and sometimes funny. My guest and myself were extremely disappointed that this hotel was not offering a continental breakfast. This is very important to us and will probably affect my decision as to whether I will stay here again.”

• The bed was amazingly comfortable and the pillows were so soft. Best night of sleep I've had in awhile.
• The housekeeping staff seemed pushing and could not properly address my needs.

“The room was quite clean and comfortable. However, the housekeeping staff could have been a bit more professional. The room could use an update with the addition of a compact refrigerator, wireless options, and current directory of services.”

• The rooms were spacious and clean. It looked amazing.
• The bed was awful. It sagged, and the head dipped lower than the feet.

“We really enjoyed the Doubletree, except when it came time to sleep. The bed was terrible. It had certainly weathered many travelers, and the hotel staff tried to hide that fact with a featherbed. It was too uncomfortable to sleep on. I ended up going home and sleeping there. If I hadn't had that option, I might have slept on the floor. It would have been more comfortable. The hotel is lovely, and the staff was friendly. If we hadn't planned to sleep during our stay, this would have been a perfect hotel.”

• I loved how the hot tub had its own room, was very convenient.
• The hot tub jets didn't work my last day there, was kind of a bummer.

“I usually get 3 stars hotels so I was really worried when I did 2 1/2 but I was very impressed, didn't feel much different than a 3. So overall I was satisfied.”

• It was in a fairly quiet part of town, but easy access to the areas we wanted to get to.
• No newspaper in the morning at the door.

“I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20 years. It is about the same quality and service, but with a few more restaurant choices close by. Mostly I like it proximity to the greenbelt.”

• It was easy to find, parking was easy, and the hotel was very quiet.
• The bed was as hard as the floor, the ventilation filters needed cleaning, and the mold in the tub was terrible.

“The hotel is very clean on the outside and in all of the common areas. Check in and check out was very fast and exceptionally courteous. The rooms were spacious and surface clean however, they smelled dusty. Upon looking further I noticed the air filters so full they were leaking lint out of the housing. The bathtubs contained mold in all cracks and corners but maintained a neutral smell. The downstairs bar, though small, is well equipped but priced like a big city popular watering hole. The small cafe is also very over priced. The usual complimentary lobby coffee is missing but is available in the cafe for a Starbucks price.”

• Outdoor pool was closed. Indoor pool would have been nice.

“The hotel was great except for the fact that I booked a room with 2 beds only gave me a reservation for a single bed room. The staff accommodated me without an additional charge and I was given a double room! It was great!”

• No housekeeping the first day.

“Clean and comfortable. Nice queens size beds that were double sheeted with feather pillows. The hotel makes luggage tags for you with your business cards for free. Nice touch. Friendly staff. Great value for the room. Also paid for a hotel at extended stay for 3 dollars less and it was a dump comparably. Not worth the price. The doubletree was a great value and great hotel.”

“The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I suffer from back injuries and they were quick to provide extra pillows on top of an extremely comfortable bed to sleep in! Check out time of 1pm was awesome! Fabulous variety of teas/coffees in room. Had everything needed such as shampoo/conditioner/lotion, blow dryer, ironing board/iron, and hangers. Lounge and dining right at hotel and other dining within walking distance! Couldn't have chosen better quality for the inexpensive price!”

• The cookies at check in were nice and the beds were really comfortable.
• The pool was only open until 9 due to some broken lights, but I'm sure that's fixed.

“We had a great time. We came to watch a Boise Hawks baseball game and didn't want to drive all the way home. It was a nicer hotel than I expected since it only had a 2 star rating. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Overall we had a great stay!”

• Liked the beds. They were clean, comfortable and with lots of pillows.
• The closet space was not sufficient. It was not build in, only a standing closet.

“The hotel was very nice for the price; however, they gave my private receipt to another individual who shared the room without my consent. I will contact the doubletree and tell them of this problem.”

• The pop machine was broke but they fixed the problem!

“This was a very nice stay. When my son and I went to go get a pop and the machine was broke the gentlemen went into the lounge after it was closed re-opened it and got us drinks. Instead of saying they are not ours like you get everywhere else! This was awesome thanks to the guy who helped us. Everyone was great right down to the ladies who cleaned our rooms. The beds were nicely made and the bathroom was picked up when we came back to our room! Thank you to the whole staff at Doubletree!”

• The vending machines were cheap.
• The un-requested 5:30 am wake-up call!

“The hotel computer was down at the time of my check in & was still down when I checked out 2 days later. I have yet to be billed & the staff could not give me a receipt. I got a 5:30 am wake-up call that I did not request. The cleaning staff did not come to clean the room until 4 pm & the sheets & room smelled sour. Though the staff were nice, I will not likely stay there again.”
