• Check-in was quick and efficient.
• The room did not have a fridge/microwave like other Red Lion locations.

“Quick efficient check-in, but got the noisiest rooms closest to the desk - lots of traffic and walk-thru noise. Could hear water-running noises from other rooms - not pleasant at 2 a.m. Otherwise, a good experience.”

• The bed was so comfortable! They had nice shampoos and soap.
• The elevators were difficult to navigate.

“This hotel was great. The only thing that I had a problem with was that there was no cont. breakfast. Other than that small problem everything was GREAT. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious, and was very clean.”

• Clean. Friendly staff; gave me a room with 2 beds when I asked.
• Small bed. Hard to control temperature. Maid was cleaning our room even though I left a do not disturb sign out.

• After the construction. It was much nicer. I enjoyed myself.
• They had construction going on right outside our balcony. It was loud.

“The interior of the hotel is dark and unappealing. The rooms are small but adequate and the baths have been remodeled and are quite nice. In my opinion, the hotel is not maintained adequately.”

“This hotel was terrible. Our first room (the king room) had no fridge or microwave and smelled strongly of mildew. We were moved to a room with a fridge an microwave and it was 2 doubles so my husband and I could not sleep together. This is a 2 star hotel, never a 3 star.”

• Nice lobby.
• The noise in the area around our room (sounded like a laundry room was above us) was horrible.

“Upon check in I was expecting a positive experience, as I called that we were to check in late (4am is when we checked in). Around 7:55am the noise began. We even stepped out of our room to see what it was, and it was no where in the hallway. They were either doing construction next to us, or had laundry services below us, either way I could literally hear conversations being had. The noise proceeded (even with a call down to the desk) until we at least 10:30am, at which we were already leaving. I stay in Boise 3-4 times a month, and will never return to this hotel.”

• Good location, easy to find.
• Bathroom had a hole in the wall to get to the plumbing. Not very attractive.

“Room was clean. It would have been nice to have had coffee in the room, but they did have coffee in the lobby in the morning. The restaurant seemed pretty expensive for a quick breakfast.”

• Located right by Downtown, has a fitness center.
• I had a poor internet connection in my first room, had to move to a different room. The breakfast was not free.

“Overall the hotel was ok. The rooms are nice and clean and there is a fitness center and wireless internet. However there were a couple things I did not like: There was no one at the front desk when I arrived and I had to wait for someone to come out from their office. My first room had a poor/unusable wireless connection but I was able to move to a different room. There is no breakfast included.”

• I liked the room size and the exercise room was excellent.
• I would like to have had coffee and a small breakfast available for free in the morning.

“Would have been nice to have a pool indoor and breakfast or coffee available in the morning. Besides the noisy room next door at 2:30 in the morning, the hotel was nice.”

• I thought the restaurant staff was curt to my children.

“The hotel was o.k. The pool was broken down and outside. The hot tub was also broken down. My kids were looking forward to the pool. My kids went to the restaurant to eat and were instructed to order for me also. When I got there the waitress had ignored them and served everyone else. We had to leave and eat elsewhere. We did not have time to wait. I was disappointed. I felt like if they questioned them they should have called the room for verification. I paid for their drinks and left. The beds were comfortable. The front staff was very kind.”

• The pool was only outdoor, so closed for the season.

• Watched ncaa tourn in bar, big screen, good service, multiple TVs.
• Would have liked 1 king bed, got 2 full beds, too small for 2 people.

“Fast to Downtown Boise. Glad for the amenities in hotel: Coffee bar, restaurant, and separate bar. Across the street is a "gentlemans club" didnt like that. Comfortable bed.”

“Restaurant was way overpriced. Good for business people as company foots the bill. Had to pay 2.25 for a cup of regular coffee! They did not even have complimentary coffee in Lobby. What a joke for an upscale 3 star hotel! Very disappointed. For $25 more could have stayed at Ameritel and had a full comp. breakfast with great coffee.”

“It is an older well maintained hotel in the heart of Boise close to walking trails, shopping and entertainment. Rooms are large, clean, pillow top mattress, good pillows, sitting chairs and desk. There is a workout room. No doorman if that is important to you.”

• It had 2 sinks in the room. And it was clean.
• The sheets did not stay tucked in. The sheets were all over the bed when you woke up.

• This hotel has easy access to downtown and everywhere else we need to reach.
• The ice/vending machine was in the hallway and thus noisy.

“This hotel is located west end of downtown, in which minutes away from the central entertainment/dining district. However, it is in a not-so impressed part of downtown. The room we stayed was great except that the bathroom was small because there was an additional sink outside of the bathroom. The ice maker and the vending machine are in the hallway and get very noisy, no many TV channel selections. I wish there was a refrigerator in the room. Otherwise, if you stay just to get convenient location to drive anywhere, this hotel is good place to be.”

• Bathroom fixtures (tub in particular) looked like it needed a deep cleaning.

• Nice bed and linens plus extra pillow of quality.
• We were frustrated at first trying to get to it because of streets not going through so the address was not as helpful as it might have been.

“Difficult to get to unless you have been there before. Directions might have helped more than the address. Clean. Well kept. Liked having a sink outside as well as inside the bathroom.”

• The location was good and easy to find.

“This hotel was ok. The service was hideous. At check-in I waited for like 15 minutes while I watched the attendant in the office search her my space page! Also I waited forever at the coffee shop for a attendant to buy a soda. No one was in sight. Customer service is not a top priority at the Red Lion in Boise!”

• Swimming pool was outdoors - so it was closed for the season

“The room was clean, smoke free, roomy, and the exercise facility was brand new. The lounge/restaurant made the best sandwiches for my kids (at midnight), and the restaurant made an excellent breakfast. My husband and I had an adjoining room - that allowed us to keep an eye on the kids yet have privacy for ourselves. It was great!”
