• Once inside the room, the bed was so comfortable and the coffee in the rooms was awesome!
• The hotel needs some external updating and in the halls.

“Our stay was wonderful. It was a comfortable king sized bed and a lovely room which was just what we needed for a night of child-free rest. Usually we are traveling with 2 small children and the size of the room would have been plenty big if we had them with us. Oh! And the cookies!! Warm cookies when you check in!!”

• The room and beds were very comfortable.
• No microwave, no refrigerator, no elevator, no complementary breakfast.

• Easy access to the freeway.
• The dining room was overpriced.

“The rooms were clean and the cleaning service was good. There are charges for almost everything you do or use. Bottles water for $1.00 each. Charge for local calls, etc. The pool and exercise area was free, but not well kept up. There were dirty towels the morning we went from the night before. It would have taken 15 minutes to clean them up the night before.”

• The location on the river is a real plus.
• Dated! Felt like I was back in the early 80s. Dirty carpet.

“I contacted the hotel to request ground floor room with 2 beds. Gentleman told me that would be no problem. Upon arrival, no ground level rooms with 2 beds available. I had a very recent hip replacement surgery making it very difficult to make it to my room.”

• Lobby and exterior were inviting.
• My room was very dated.

“A disappointment for the 3.5 star rating. The room was very dated 80's, the carpet was stained, mold around shower tiles, worn out counter tops, small TV with inoperable remote. They may have updated rooms but this one was not one of them.”

• The pool was great. Beds are comfortable.
• Room wasn't very clean. Walls and carpet seemed very dirty.

• It is family friendly. Our children are 12 and 14 and they really like staying there.
• Only that there pool is outside and it closes at 10.

• I like the Double Tree brand.
• This hotel is not yet up to the Double Tree brand standard.

“I believe that this hotel must have been a recent acquisition into the Double Tree franchise; it is currently undergoing renovation. This is a good convention hotel with good amenities - but they will have to improve/renovate most of the hotel before I will recommend this to travelers in the future.”

• Nice room on the river and
  nice view.

“This hotel was very close to the freeway but once your in your room you wouldn't even know. The room was very quiet and the view was a lovely river. It was very safe too, you cant even enter the hotel with out a room key. The room was nice and clean, the bed was comfy and the internet was free.”

• Great beds and pillows. Lovely grounds and roses. Loved being by the river. Lovely experience.
• Bathroom fixtures very dated but I wasn't too bothered by that.

• Got stuck in a smoking room which stunk very bad. Staff refused to help by moving us.

“I will never stay at the Doubletree in Boise. We got stuck in a smoking room which stunk very badly. The staff informed us that they had nothing else to offer us. We ended up leaving and going to another hotel. This was my first bad experience.”

• Room arrangement was omfortable. Great bed. Beautiful garden area.
• Would liked to have had a refrigerator.

“Everything was great. Convenient to city connector road. Very comfortable beds. Enjoy the gardens and access to walk along the river. The hotel was clean, but probably in need of a face lift in the lobby - seems dark. Not a problem however.”

• Terribly breakfast, rude waiter, no elevator on2nd floor.

“Decent, very good front desk. Room was fine. Double headed shower was interesting. Terrible breakfast experience in the hotel restaurant. God awful food twice. Broken stairs outside of room and no elevator led to extensive extra walking.”

• I really liked the bedding at the hotel. Very comfortable.
• Lighting was not good over mirror and some light bulbs in the room were burned out.

“Overall, this is a very nice hotel. I have stayed here a number of times and have always been pretty pleased. Occasionally, small things like burned out light bulbs, but overall, very nice.”

• It met our needs very well.
• It was too cold and the weather had gotten cooler unexpectedly.

“It was a good experience. Even though it was cold, the maintenance man did everything he to make our stay good. He provided extra blankets and he was very helpful.”
