• It was new and
  clean, near everything, and everyone was friendly.
• The thermostat would only go down to 68 degrees. At
  night it got a little stuffy.

• It was a place to sleep.
• Not clean, in bad repair, stains.

“This was a horrible hotel for the money. The bed was uncomfortable, there were stains on the carpet and the sink, the layout was horrible. You couldn't even stand by the sink while someone was in the bathroom for fear of getting hit by the door. I loved priceline until this hotel stay, now I wonder if I will ever use Priceline again.”

• Nothing, its always been great to stay in one of the Marriott's facilities.

• Right off the freeway, near restaurants and coffee shops.

“Located in a pretty good area, in a quiet area of town, but the walls were quite thin and I could hear everything from the rooms to the east and west of me, as well as directly above me. Front desk worker was very nice and friendly.”

• Pulled fire alarm at 4 am, pregnant wife forced to street, hotel didn't respond well.

• Dated and a little run down.

“Okay for a base to go to other places but not great if you want a place to stay during the day. Location not interesting, rather far from decent restaurants and attractions. Would be fine for a business traveler. Would have preferred hotel with breakfast included - like Hampton Inn or Days Inn. Decor is a little run down, things chipped. Room had old and bad TV.”

• Nice beds/pillows.
• Walls are paper thin. Could hear toilets flushing from surrounding rooms.

“While it was a nice hotel, it had a serious shortcoming with how easily you can hear your neighbors. Every time a neighbor above you or on the same floor walks, opens a door, flushes a toilet, or turns on a TV, you can hear it. A call to the front desk put us on hold, and never answered. Having to go down to the front desk at 1:30 am isn't exactly what I look for in customer service.”

• Close to freeway, nice area.
• No inside room service, only have restaurant express.

“The hotel overall was nice. Maybe a 2 1/2 star not a 3 star. Staff was friendly and helpful. Speedy check in. Be ready to carry your own bags to your room. Restaurant only opens for breakfast. No room service but they do have restaurant express. Ok for the money spent. You get what you pay for.”

• Excellent location. We had a beautiful view of the pool area.
  
• The mattress was too soft and I think had broken or weak springs.

“This hotel was definitely a great find. My husband and I had a great time while we were in Palm Desert and the hotel had a lot to do with that. With a variety of different recreations and activities available to us we were never bored. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly. I definitely give this hotel two thumbs up. ”

“I stayed at this hotel last month and found that the people were very nice and extremely helpful. I needed directions to a few places and the person at the front desk was very patient and was able to give me directions to all the places I needed to go. It was a quick 5 minutes drive to the highway which was helpful in running my errands.”

• The breakfast is not included in the room rate

“The check-in staff was friendly, and tried to find me the rooom location I requested. I got a room without a balcony, on the second floor, with a view of the pool facing south. Rooms were smallish, comfortable and with the usual Courtyard sofa and desk. Bedding was clean and the pillows were comfortable. However, the carpet was starting to look worn and had a few stains. There was also a large stain in the bathroom floor tile. The musty smell on entry disappeared when the a/c ran for a few minutes. The housekeeping was very good. In-room coffee was restocked daily. There is no resort fee, but there is a charge for local calls. There is free lobby coffee, but the breakfast is extra. I did not try it. The fitness room has a few treadmills and bikes. Applebee's next door has a fast-pickup service. I had to go to Sun City, Indian Wells and Palm Springs on consecutive days. The location worked very well as a central to the Coachella valley.”

“I was accompanying my husband to Palm Desert for a golf tournament, and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Our check-in was a breeze - it only took about 10 minutes - and every staff member that we encountered was extremely nice and helpful.”

• The hotel was able to give us a bigger, nicer room at the same rate without hesitation.
• There was no guard on the ice machine, and some of the ice would end up on the floor.

“It was a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. We asked for a room at the rate of $85.00 and arrived at a small room with one queen bed. When we asked for a bigger room and were transferred to another bigger room with two queen beds at the same rate, we were pleasantly surprised with the immediate upgrade at no increase in cost. The staff was responsive, friendly, and courteous.”

• The location was very good and the front desk was helpful and friendly.
• The high speed internet was not working at first, difficult to sign in on, logged off during work, and not satisfactory.

“The Hotel was OK for a 2 1/2 star, but we would not ask for a 2 1/2 star again. 3 or 4 star Hotels are more satisfactory for us. Also, breakfast was served until 10, and the restaurant next door did not open until 11. An hour when no service was available.”

• Easy access to the freeway, not far from restaurants and shopping, nice tennis courts!
• No where to walk to from the hotel, a bit secluded but by car everything is minutes away.

“My stay was enjoyable at this Marriott, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was checked into a smoking room that smelled extra smoky and when I requested a room change they were more than accommodating and quick to move me to a non-smoking room.”

• How accommodating the staff was.
• The extremely low end room we were placed in.

“The staff was friendly and accommodating. We didn't get in until 2:00 a.m. and they automatically allowed a late check out at 2:00 p.m. Very nice. The bad part was the room we were in. Very low end and dull. Also, it was next to an exit door. Last room at the end of the hall.”

• The balcony was great.
• The room was cramped with king bed,couch and desk. Wish it had refrigerator.

“We were put on the 3rd floor by the ice machine and elevator which was ideal for us. The room seemed a little small in comparison to others we saw. Too much was put into the room, a king size bed, large desk and sleeper couch. The room was clean and we had a balcony to sit outside on. My husband used the jacuzzi and exercise room which he enjoyed. It was great for the price and seaon in Palm Desert.”

“The hotel was clean and had all the ammenities expected for a Courtyard by Marriott. It would be great for business travelers. I would not reccommend this location for vacationers. The location was too close to the freeway and not far enough into Palm Desert to feel like you were in the thick of things.”
