• Accommodating guest services, spacious rooms, free happy hour daily, great breakfast, warm pool.
• Front desk staff seemed unorganized and confused, thin walls, room decor is not modern, smoking rooms smelled bad.

“Overall I was very happy with my stay here. Unfortunately I was there to have a weekend getaway with my boyfriend, and the hotel is definitely geared toward business guests and their families. We had a lot of fun anyway; the pool was large and warm, the free breakfast included made-to-order omelets and pancakes, and they have a daily happy hour with an open bar. I can't think of the last time I stayed at a hotel that gave me unlimited free drinks. The front desk staff seemed much. The room allowed smoking however, and it smelled like stale cigarettes. We requested an ozone machine to deal with the smell, and it made a big difference. All in all we had a great stay.”

• Friendly staff and the breakfast.
• Outdated decor, bad placement of soap dishes in shower causing injury.

“Decent hotel, although dated decor. The freshly cooked breakfast is unique for a modest hotel. The bath and tub/shower needs refurbishing with new tile, a curved shower rod, and better placement of soap dishes.”

• It was a little tired and run down, small sized as well.

• The customer service representative that checked me in was very friendly.
• Outdated furniture and an old smell in the room.

“It's a nice looking hotel from the outside and the old fashioned southwestern look is consistent with the inside. When we checked in the service was nice but the hotel room was not. The refrigerator was unplugged, the cable television was unplugged. Considering the 114 degree weather outside the A.C. was off so the room was like a sauna when we walked in along with a weird smell. Overall, once we got settled and had the A.C. on full blast for a couple of hours the smell sort of went away and we figured how to hook up the cable and plug in the refrigerator. Basically made the best of it.”

• The chefs for the breakfast buffet were great - fast service. The manager's cocktail party was fun.
• Would have liked a balcony that had chairs so we could sit outside.

“The hotel had a lush romantic garden-style courtyard and it was beautiful at night with the lighting. The mountains overlooking the hotel were gorgeous. Overall, the internet photos of this hotel do not do it justice. They need to be retaken. Thankfully we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. I would also suggest the lobby be remodeled and updated. Overall, a beautiful hotel in a nice area with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.”

• The women who work in the breakfast kitchen were great!
• The rooms seemed old, dark, and in need of remodeling.

“The facility seems to be in need of remodeling. However, the staff was friendly (especially the women who were preparing the cooked-to-order breakfasts). The free breakfasts were much nicer than we expected. ”

• Great to have 2 rooms, since we have a toddler it gave us time to ourselves after he went to bed.
• Breakfast buffet - the tables weren't cleared promptly, and no return area for trays, so the pigeons picked at the leftovers.

“I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. It was our first hotel experience with our 2 year old son. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the facility was very clean. Our son loved the pool and we loved that we had 2 rooms, so after our son went to bed, we could read in the other room without waking him! Great experience!”

• The home like feel of the suite. It was easy to live there comfortably for four days.
• We were on the second floor and we could hear the people walking above us. The floors were not soundly made.

“Just okay. I would not recommend it. I expected a lot more from an Embassy suites hotel and I certainly would not give it a 3, 4, or 5 star rating. We asked for a 5 star and this is what we got. ”

• Heated pool and great breakfast!
• The room smelled weird, not fresh or clean.

“The warm pool and the great breakfast really enhanced our stay. I attended a seminar there which was in a comfortable room. Lunch was not good; service too slow; food mediocre. Location was great and I would happily stay there again.”

• Happy Hour -- free drinks and snacks-- wonderful! Free Breakfast cooked to order ¿ wonderful!
• Lots of families/kids. If possible, request a room away from the pool.

“This embassy suite is showing its age, but still offers the 2 room suites and hot breakfast that make the hotel attractive for travelers. High speed internet is setup with one click, although still a daily usage fee. Ruth¿s Chris steakhouse is right next door, as is a star buck¿s. Overall a good place to stay.”

• Pillows had foamy filling.

“Beds are comfortable but pillows very "big" with foam filling causing a neck crank. Walls a little thin noise-wise but overall excellent place to stay and these are minor problems.”

• I liked the open space in the front room and great breakfast.

• The rooms were suites.
• It was so noisy the insulation of the rooms was absolutely unacceptable we could hear everyone around us.

“This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. The insulation of the walls was terrible and we could hear everyone around us. We were on the second floor and when the people above us woke up and started walking around we could hear every footstep. We could also hear their bed creaking! Ewe! We also heard the TV. From the room next door. We went home more tired than we came for our "relaxing weekend."”

• The fact they throw in a full breakfast with the cost of the room.
• The breakfast chef wasn't very good.

“Conveniently located near all major attractions in the Palm Springs area the Embassy Suites is a good value if you name your own price. The rooms are clean and spacious and the amenities are numerous.”

“This hotel is under renovation and is definately not up to it's usual standards. It is noisy & dusty during the day, things like the work out room are not always available, and although the staff were excellent, we should have been told that this reno was going on. This was way too much to pay for the facilities that were actually available!”

• Hotel exterior could have been nicer. The happy hour was terrible.

• the staff at the front desk was not the friendliest nor was the staff at the breakfast

“I feel that just because the breakfast is free or included in the cost of the room that the staff could be a little friendlier. They still expect to be tipped and I tip on service and attitude.”

• The quality of the room for the price. Beautiful lobby and grounds.
• The elevators were glass and this made them extremely hot and uncomfortable.

• Very good value for the money.
• Hotel is starting to show its age.

“Hotel is a very good value for the price, but one can't help to notice that it has passed its prime and is in a decline. The elevator near the pool area was not maintained or cleaned. It smelled and left a poor impression of the facilities. Windows and doors hard to operate. Staff though was very pleasant and helpful.”

• noisy rooms, understaffed, took almost an hour to check in

“Hotel was severely understaffed. The first room we were given still had suitcases from someone else. Ended up with room across from elevator and stairwell against our bedroom wall. Very noisy. Mgr gave us free rental for check-in problems.”

“Conveniently located among top restaurants, the Embassy Suites Palm Desert provides clean, basic accommodations. Pool area is a bit small and quite popular with families. Not the place to go if you are seeking a quiet poolside atmosphere.”
