• Nicely appointed room, linens and furnishings. Refrigerator was nice bonus.
• Entry to room corridors from exterior not clearly defined, confusing to find entrance.

“I liked it very much, the restaurant was nice, the service was great and very friendly staff. Our stay was brief, but I would definitely say again with no hesitation.”

• Rooms were great nice and clean!
• No bell room service to help with luggage.

“The outer color is green and not attractive, but once you are inside it is very nice and clean. The rooms are very nice and the beds are so comfortable! It was worth it to pay an extra $20.00 for a pool view. There is a water fall outside our window that was nice to view and was next to the pool.”

• Bathroom was nicest with a granite top.
• Appearance was dumpy and old. Huge dumpster in lot stunk and ugly.

“Very dissatisfied. Ugly on outside, rooms were decent inside, but thin walls and noisy neighbors. Very 70's feel to exterior. I didn't want to tell people we were staying there.”

• very professional staff and helpful staffs, clean hotel
• you can hear the footsteps from the room upstairs, I heard it and so did my friend in another room.

“Very nice facade. Staff are very professional, helpful and very accomodating. They upgraded the 3 rooms that i got just because i'm paying for the same credit cards and I requested it to be close together. If you happen to be the kind of person who wants to sleep and wake up late, please get another hotel or get the 3rd floor rooms because you can hear the footsteps from upstairs. Pillows are hard but you have an option to request for pillows that is best for you by calling the housekeeping. It has a time thou.”

• Size of room, flat panel TV, Mini Fridge and Coffee.
• Outdoor corridors.

“This hotel, although older, is well maintained and very clean. All rooms have patios or balconies, very comfortable, nicely appointed, great friendly staff, flat panel TVs. Very nice. My only dislike is that ground floor rooms are open corridor with no way to lock out the public. 2nd and 3rd floor rooms have key card entry so are fine.”

“Condos that have been refurbished into a hotel that is conveniently located. Perfect for the quick travel weekend and located between palm springs and palm desert. I will defiantly stay there again.”

• Clean rooms and great views.
• Fitness center was a joke. Worst I have ever seen !

“Exterior was ugly, but rooms were nice. Recently renovated. In a seedy area of town with. The fitness center was the worst I have ever seen. Only 4 pieces of equipment and very poor quality. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Elevator access to upper floors was very limited because of high security which was necessary because of the neighborhood.”

• Although it's an older hotel, it's been remodeled and updated pretty nicely. We really enjoyed the pool.
• No continental breakfast.

“It's apparent that it's an older hotel, but the furnishings in the rooms were contemporary and the bathrooms were nicely updated. They had a good size pool which was up to 9 ft. We enjoyed the poolside movie on Saturday night. The last day we were there, the cleaning staff neglected to give us shampoo, lotion, soap and enough washcloths. But overall, the service was fine and we had a nice stay.”

• I know it had just opened and had been remodeled.
• Everything including the refrigerator was unplugged and ice machines were not working.

“I was happy with the overall stay, the hotel was very good about helping solve problems, for a newly remodeled hotel I would have expected the bathroom door to shut properly. I understand the cost of electric is high, but putting a sign in the room staying they have unplugged the clock, coffeemaker and refrigerator would have been helpful. Also the refrigerator was not easy to plug in, and took a long time to cool down. Now I loved the shower head, it was so big I felt I had a decent shower in a hotel for a change.”

• Our food in the restaurant took forever and there was no one else in the restaurant my cobb salad was very disappointing.

• Hotel was stylishly decorated and had a wonderful pool and spa. The restaurant was very good also.
• We had problems with the room key as did other guests when we were staying there.

“This is a nicely decorated, stylish hotel with a wonderful pool and spa. The food at the restaurant was terrific although the service was slow. The hotel is a little far from the freeway and you need to drive to get to the main area of town, but the surrounding mountains made a lovely back drop. We had problems with our room key and they would not work properly. Other guests had problems with theirs also.”

• Very clean, decor is much updated. Shower pressure is great and bed is one of the most comfortable Ive experienced.
• Hallways are not up to date with the rest of Hotel.

“Over the entire Hotel is great. From the exterior, lobby, excellent restaurant and food to pools and room itself are excellent. Very, very clean+ and beds and shower so comfortable. The first impression me and my partner had was not outstanding at first (probably because of the green outdated exterior) but we were pleasantly surprised Things just kept getting better and better in our 3 night stay. This is an excellent choice to stay at in Palm Springs and I will definitely stay here again.”

• Evian water $7.00 a bottle without a gun.

“Very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean rooms, does family activities poolside, very convenient Palm Springs location, friendly helpful staff and very quite rooms. Only negative would be the bar prices ($8.00 Gin/Tonic) and in room Evian Water at $7.00 a bottle. Did you know that Evian spelled backward was Navy?”

“Very nicely refurbished rooms, hotel itself was great, but there was a lot of noise to be heard from other guests, seemed like the walls was thin. Not within walking distance to the majority of shops. Restaurants, but only a short drive. Couple blocks away are "Elmer's" restaurant, best breakfast in Palm Springs!”

• The flat screen TV was probably the only thing I liked!
• When I arrived back at midnight a family was sitting in the hallway outside my room.

“This is quite nice for a moderate motel. The security was terrible and you couldn't get to your room from the lobby unless you went up what seemed to be a utility stairwell. They gave a family of five the keys to our room when we were out and found the family sitting on the floor in the hall outside our door. They had to wait for a key to their room for awhile and said the staff had an attitude with them even though it wasn't their fault. They appeared homeless sitting outside our door with no luggage. It was very sad!”

• It was very clean and had a sense of privacy. The pool was spacious and well kept.
• The food was overpriced for the lack of quality. Coffee was just bad.

“The hotel is very clean and within walking distance to shops. A ten minute drive to downtown Pal Springs. One could spend the weekend at the hotel and have a great time.”

• One evening they had a outdoor movie screen by the pool for the kids.
• Other guest were drunk and loud at the pool, while kids were around. Staff did not ask them to calm down.

• Location was not good (3 miles from downtown Palm Springs).

“This is a great hotel, but the locations was too far from downtown Palm Springs. Most other 3 star hotels are within walking distance. This one required a taxi or car ride to the downtown area. Also staff was not willing to accommodate us.”

• Modern, updated furnishings. Elegant lobby.
• Finding elevator was a bit confusing. Walls to thin if there are loud, drunk guests next to your room.

“This hotel was more than I expected from a Holiday Inn. Very modern establishment with wide appeal to all level of traveler. Close enough to the action, but far enough to be in a quiet location. Excellent grocery store across the street. Very close to water park and air museum. Give it a try.”

• Exceeded expectation. Rooms were nicely appointed. Services were excellent (free internet at business center, good breakfast at restaurant).
• Located on busy street.

“The Holiday Inn in Palm Springs exceeded our expectation. We usually stay in resorts and were concerned the standard may be lower in a 3 star. We were very wrong. The amenities and room were great--free internet in the business center and room, a great restaurant breakfast, newer interiors in the guest rooms. We'd definitely stay again. The one downside would be getting a room facing the main street -- it could be noisy. We could also hear some noise from the neighbor's room.”

• WiFi signal was too weak to connect. TV wasn't working properly upon arrival.

“We liked the location and the friendly staff. The walls did seem a bit thin, as we could hear others talking and I'm sure they heard us. This is a hotel that we will use again, despite the few issues.”

• The room was really nice and clean; very comfortable bed.
• Could hear people walking upstairs in the morning. Hotel exterior was unattractive.

“If you're traveling on a budget, this is a nice hotel to stay at. It's about 3 miles away from the Downtown area, but it was convenient to have a grocery store across the street. The ceiling was a bit noisy. Room interior is much nicer than how the hotel looks on the exterior; very comfortable inside. Overall, I liked the Holiday Inn and would stay there again.”

• The rooms were clean and new.
• It does not offer the same feeling as a 3star hotel. You enter rooms from the outside.

“Just on the outskirts of town and a short cab ride. Not within walking distance like the other 3 star hotels in the area. Even though the rooms are nice and new, you still feel like you are staying in a Holiday Inn because of the way the Hotel is set up. You drive around to each room and enter from the outside. The noise level in the rooms is high.”
