• Good location.
• Under renovation and few services were available.

“I wish somebody (You!) could have told us that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovation, and was in very poor condition. Food and beverage services were virtually non-existent. This was essentially just a bed and a bathroom, with nothing else to offer: we could have stayed at a Motel 6 for this level of accomodation.”

• I liked the lobby and the room size.
• The pool closed too early 8:00 pm, and we would have liked a free breakfast, as usual!

“My family and I enjoyed the friendly staff and great service, including the valet service. Always called us by name, and very attentive to our requests. The decor needs some upgrades and the pool hours were not great. The pool closed too early for Palm Springs!”

• Great location, friendly staff, nice facilities.
• Had problems with toilet. Took 24 hours to get response.

“This is a great hotel for travelers. I think our room was jinxed. The fridge did not work well, they promptly brought up a new one. The toilet was plugged. I went to the front desk twice in one day and got no service. After going to the front desk a third time, the finally sent someone up. Overall, I believe this is a great 3 star hotel for the location and the price.”

• For our exended stay, the suite and its furnishings gave room to spread out and relax as opposed to being cramped in a standard hotel room.

“Clean and comfortable. An older hotel with dated decor, but for me that matters little. Internet was $10 a day which was a disapointment. The security of the underground parking was a plus but will cost you $12. Free on street parking is available. The channel selections on the TV were lacking.”

“The room they gave me was over the outside area and overlooked the outside patio where a band was playing, which was loud and could easily be heard through the walls in the room as if the window and door were open.”

• Two Room suite which is ideal for children accompanying parents. Location is superb - right on the strip!
• Feels a bit run down. Parking was expensive.

“Great location right in the heart of Palm Springs. Easy walk to restaurants, pubs, and night clubs. Beautiful view of the mountains, and very quiet. Overall, good value for your money.”

• The pool area was disgusting and hadn't been cleaned in forever.

“The staff at the hotel was great but the amenities were less than sub-par. For a 3+ star hotel the amentias was like staying at a Motel 8 and even then I think a motel 8 is better. I wouldn't stay there again until it is remodeled”

• Very helpful staff, close to shopping, restaurants.

“The room was spacious, had a separate room with coach that could be used for privacy. However was surprised that the beds were somewhat sagging, the pillows needed to be replaced as were on the flat side. The bathroom is old in appearance, the towels were not quality for a Hyatt experience.”

• Overly starched sheets. Dated decor. Concierge had questionable grooming.

“It was overall very well located, but the sheets in the bed were uncomfortable at best (one could say they felt like sandpaper). The front desk guy, while doing his best to be helpful, didn't seem too sure of himself relative to the surroundings (stores, restaurants, etc). In addition, he had questionable grooming standards, as evidenced by his unhygenic long fingernails.”

“The room did have a great balcony overlooking the street, the location is perfect. The parking is expensive, the wireless costs money, the staff was just okay, but the room itself was nice.”

• The scenery of the hotel is beautiful.
• The beds were very hard and the pillows were flat.

“If your going for a relaxing weekend its a beautiful place to stay. This hotel is located in the center of down town Palm Springs with a wonderful view of the mountains. The down fall is the beds are very uncomfortable, the pillows are flat, the workout facility is very small, for the most part the surrounding stores and restaurants close pretty early. There is no free parking so expect to pay $12 a day.”

• The hotel is in need of sprucing up the pool and hot tub needed cleaning.

“Rooms are in need of redecoration and new furniture, bed was hard. TVs were dated and the pool and Jacuzzi needed a good cleaning.”

• The staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly.
• The decor is old. Could use a bit of an update.

“The hotel staff is really friendly. Easy in and out of the hotel. Great location since it's in the middle of downtown. You can just step outside and walk up and down the palm canyon and check out the sites. The room itself it very clean and well prepped for someone to enjoy their stay, but it's a bit lagging in their decor. The style of the hotel is a bit dated and could use a revamp.”

• The hotel staff was amazing and the location was perfect.
• The room was not as clean as it could have been. There were stains on the carpet and sofa cushions.

“The location is nicely centered near restaurants and entertainment spots. The staff went out of their way to be polite and helpful. It also seems that this hotel is dog friendly.”

• The lobby was clean.
• Very dirty room.

“This hotel needs a downgrade in stars. It was not a 3 star. It was so dirty. Black spots all over the carpet. Sticky table in room. The beds were never made up during our two night stay. Garbage was not emptied. The location to down town Palm Springs was good but overall the dirtiness of the hotel left us very unsatisfied.”

• It was attractive and the staff was friendly.
• The bed was uncomfortable and the street noise a horror.

“The bed was uncomfortable, lumpy and the pillows were ok. The worst was that while I was on the highest floor, the noise from the street and the coffee/house/hookah lounge under my window was loud and lasted late into the night. The sound of the AC did not drown out the noise and thus, the experience was not what one would expect of a Hyatt.”

• I liked the location.
• A pricey hotel with poor service. Check-in is at 4:00 and check-out at 12:00 which gives little time for the pool without paying for late check out.

“This is an expensive hotel but gives little service. Everything has a price tag but the quality just isn't there. I think that a 4:00 check in and a 12:00 check out makes no sense. This forces you to pay for a late checkout, which adds another expense.”

• The rooms are large and were excellent for my two little boys.
• The pool could be bigger, but it was still nice.

“I frequent Palm Springs for business and always bring my nanny and children as they love to swim in the pools and for them it feels like a vacation. The hotel provides everything we need for our trip including the excellent location with many shops and restaurants. I will definitely stay again.”

• Poor quality bed, hotel is tired, needs remodel.

“This is franchise owned hotel with poor quality bed, room is tired and needs to be remodeled, missing pieces of countertop, carpet is stained, AC was loud and when I asked to have it serviced I was told that it would be looked at after I check out and no time sooner (three days later). The location is great. This hotel is not the quality of a normal Hyatt brand hotel. No mention of extra fee for parking.”

“The standard rooms are very roomy like a mini-suite. Bring your own water, their in room bottled water not a good quality water for the price ($4.50 per bottle for Aquafina). The pool is very small almost like a lap pool, the hotel is mostly like a mini Hyatt than a regular Hyatt, if you like to work-out the gym is extremely small but the location can't be beat.”

• The grandeur and convenience to the downtown shops.
• The parking for the hotel is not complimentary, apparently it is contracted out and it is a whopping $12.00 per night. That takes away any saving you.

• Room floor plan is fantastic. Very nice bathroom.
• My husband thought the bed was too hard.

“The rooms at this hotel have a great floor plan design. The front area is a living area while the back is a bedroom where the door can be shut to prevent noise. The room was very quiet. The bed was not as comfortable as some. The outdoor bar area in the front area of the hotel was nice -gives a somewhat quiet hotel a bit of life. We'd definitely stay again.”

• Location is good and size of room was good.
• Dated decor and needs updating; price of room should include wireless internet.

“We had to call housekeeping to clear dirty room service trays from outside our room that sat there for at least five hours, left from before we arrived. The size of the room was great--a dinette and TV area separate from the bedroom added usable space. The decor was very dated and the bathroom needs updating.”

• A legit 3* + hotel with all suite rooms, and No Resort Fee added gouge.
• The area around the hotel has many businesses that are failing and closed.

“The Palm Springs Hyatt is an older hotel, but the rooms are huge - all are suites, with a living room as well as bedroom. The pool is small but well maintained. The lobby is spacious and upscale, and the staff is friendly.”
