• Convenient location and
  right off freeway.
• Did not like the $50.00 deposit required at check in.

“Gapping cracks in the door jamb allowing wind to blow in furiously. $50.00 deposit required at check in. Door didn't lock good, etc.”

• Easy to get to.
• Hot tub was
  filthy. Luke warm, no jets and pool was cold.

“The staff tries to but they appear to not have the resources at the hotel to keep things up.”

• Location convenient to freeway on and off ramps.
• Adjacent mobile home park requires access through hotel parking lot. No restaurant on hotel property.

• Convenient location, right off highway.
• Room floor was disgusting.

“Overall, it fulfilled its need. Breakfast was decent, good selection. Kind of noisy location if a light sleeper. Room floor was disgusting. After walking around room for 4 minutes without shoes, got in the shower and it looked like I walked through mud.”

• It was clean.
• The bed was so hard my back hurts 5 days later.

“It is "OK". The only staff members we encountered were the front desk and they were minimally friendly. The exit from the hotel has a blind spot on the left and is very dangerous. The room was clean and adequate for a one night stay.”

• The towels were dirty like someone else used them first. The bedding smelled. I am handicapped would not give us lower room were not booked!

“The constant train noise and the location were scary. Not friendly when we checked in at all! Lied about lower room availability. We checked they were not full. Definitely not worth the amount, should be around 20.00 and that's a push.”

• Very noisy outdated HVAC.

“This hotel is really closer to a 1 star experience. It is conveniently located, but shares parking w/ a nearby mobile homes. The facilities are outdated and the rooms are very noisy.”

• Large room, built in night light, good TV line up.
• Noisy heater/ac. billowed out the drapes. Had to hold them down with shoes.

“Clean and comfortable. Not bad for the price. Really liked the large counter in the bathroom. Plenty of room to spread out toiletries.”

• It was clean .the staff was nice and helpful. Morning eating area was great.
• Nothing.

“This hotel was a place to stop over night located right off the i40. We found it was close to shopping and food and gas service. The hotel was clean the staff very nice. The location was right on the route 66 and that was cool.”

• The hotel was very clean and they provided an excellent breakfast.
• I cannot think of anything.

“Staying at this hotel was a very pleasant experience. It was comfortable, clean, and they had an excellent breakfast set up in the lobby. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

• Hotel exceeded our expectations. It reminded me of a more upscale hotel.
• Front desk staff was a little short but it was memorial weekend.

“No problems. Our stay was very nice. The room had a 3 burner stove top unit along with a microwave, 3' refrigerator along with a larger under cabinet refrigerator. Lots of room to spread out. Also, we had a real king bed, not a queen, which we liked better. Room was non-smoking & actually did not smell of smoke as some rooms labeled likewise do at times. Felt very safe.”

• No place to eat within close walking distance.

• Freeway and train noise.

“Nice clean hotel, noise level a little high as it is next to I-40 and major train depot. Everything else was good, would recommend just bring ear plugs.”

• Refrigerator and stove, great parking.
• Night window check in the cold night at 7:00pm!

“Located directly across from a railroad yard, this is a noisy hotel. The desk clerk was less than friendly and I would it ridiculous to use the niter window and have the lobby closed at 7:00pm. Having a stove and refrigerator would be great for family traveling. Beds were quite uncomfortable.”

• Convenient location close to freeway.
• Staff rude and unaccommodating; pool water and poolside dirty.

“We had an early probate court appoint in Barstow. We faced the possibility of not being out of court until 12 noon. When we asked at the front desk if this motel offered a late check out (just one hour late) we were rudely told that "no motel ever offers late check outs". In reality, the opposite is true. We will be visiting Barstow approximately 5 or 6 times in the next year, and I can guarantee we will not be staying at this motel.”

• The rooms were clean; the continental breakfast in the morning was a nice surprise.
• The beds were extremely hard, we had to call about 5 different times to get someone to look and see if they had our missing jacket.

“The location was easy and in a good spot for travelers on their way to other places. The hotel was clean on the inside and out. When I asked if they had a mattress pad to add to the top of the very hard bed, they acted like I was strange or something. The continental breakfast in the morning was good enough to get us and our kids on our way without having to look for a restaurant to eat at. We did appreciate that.”
