• It was conveniently located right off the freeway.
• It was a little older than I had anticipated.

• The pool was warm.
• The sewer backed up in our room.

“The sink backed up and when we woke up it had a terrible smell. The maintenance guy had to come but before it could be fixed the pipes burst and black stuff sprayed all over our stuff on our toothbrushes.”

“Clean service great. Walls are thin can hear neighbors - AC is not reliable - very noisy from the stop and go traffic from freeway on and off ramp - old 80's furnishing - but very clean and well maintained.”

• Helpful and friendly staff, great location.
• The lock in the room is not childproof (my 2 years old can open the door from inside).

“I really like the location of the hotel. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I am really pleased with the service and cleanliness of this hotel. One thing that concerns me was the lock. The door can be easily opened by a young child from inside. I could not lock it because when my child push the door handle down, the lock automatically opened.”

• Beds were very comfortable. Lobby very clean.
• No Microwave and Fridge.

• It was by the freeway.
• This is not a 3 star not by far.

“This hotel is always under constant renovation. They have hired security guards who look so bad, the hotel should hire additional security to watch the originally hired security staff. The area is okay, but the hotel looks worse than a lot of 2 stars I've stayed at.”

• It was near the freeway for easy freeway access.
• The vanity area was extremely cramped and there was no free wireless internet.

“This hotel defines economy. As a business traveler, you will find the bare minimum accommodations. Parking is tight. Bathroom area is even tighter. The non-smoking room (for which I had to initial at check in that I wouldn't smoke) smelled like a fumador. The coffee maker didn't have a pot. And, internet was a la carte. I'm surprised they didn't charge for elevator usage. Overall, the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. But, everything else? Well.”

• They accommodated my request for 2 queen beds.
• The room was not available 1 hour after posted check in time.

“We stayed in July so there was a lot of families and kids around so it got to be a little noisy. Other than that, the location was central to where we needed to be for a wedding we were attending.”

• The staff was very friendly and nice.
• Rooms were poorly supplied with necessities like soap and towels.

“The staff was very nice and friendly. However the quality of the overall hotel was poor. The first night after arriving at 11:00 pm. We had no towels. We had to ask for some and some were brought. We stayed for seven nights and each night we were missing something from coffee to towels to soap to shampoo. These are thing I expect a 3 star hotel to provide. The fitness equipment did not work either. Out of seven pieces of equipment only one worked. The others were broken or missing pieces. I was very disappointed with this. This is not a 3 star hotel. It felt more like a 2 star especially since we had to always request for things like towels and other bathroom toiletries.”

“We arrived with a party of 12, 6 rooms. It probably took 45 minutes to get us checked in. Any information obtained front the front desk was wrong. The room was clean but very hot. I had to request that someone please check on the AC unit.”

• Used a hose to clean boat, 24hr security, off street parking, quiet.

“We where their to go fishing for tuna, plenty of room for boat and safe, lots of shops close by with food and gas everywhere, not far from anything, quiet area, good hotel with friendly staff, everything in good order.”

• The bed was hard as a rock. I would have stayed longer if the bed was softer!

“The hotel was very nice, but the bed was almost like sleeping on concrete. After 2 days of sleeping on the bed my the pain in my back was pretty intense. We would have stayed another day if the bed was softer.”

• It was clean, quiet & staff was friendly. Staff was wonderful to mail an item we left at the hotel and charged my credit card.
• Bed was hard.

“The hotel has a friendly staff. It was clean, quiet and in an easy location to access freeways. Overall was a good experience. Staff was great to mail FedEx and charge my credit card to mail an item to us that we had left behind. We received the item in two days. We were very grateful.”

• Very clean and up dated. For a moderate hotel, not too far from san.
• For the price there was nothing to not like. Sorry.

“Holiday inn is in a easy to find, but a few minutes from San Diego. There is wall mart and a small strip mall close by. The staff are friendly. The hotel is great for some one with their own transportation. Clean and everything was in working order. Did not visit the restaurant this time. I have stayed at this location several times before. Thank you.”

• It was quiet at night, staff - very helpful.
• It was not a 3 star hotel.

“This was a pleasant and sweet Holiday Inn off of the beaten track which provided excellent customer service. However, considering they were supposed to be a three star hotel. We had difficulty with that especially living the Marriott in Del Mar which was a 3 star facility and being modest about themselves too! So lower your expectations for this particular hotel.”

“Clean. Parking tight. Staff friendly enough. Now all nonsmoking (good). I would not call this hotel to be in Mission Valley and was very inconvenient for all our plans. Not equivalent the prior 3* Doubletree that we stayed at before (that is in Mission valley!).”

• Shower curtain smelled bad, like mildew.

“Thought location was closer to M. Valley. Jacuzzi wasn't real clean and an entire group took over Jacuzzi, drinking, smoking and using foul language which I did not appreciate. Pool rules were violated. Even if I wasn't with small children (8 yrs), I wouldn't be happy about it.”

• The room was clean and the view was wonderful. Housekeepers were very neat and clean the room perfectly.
• The hotel front desk night person did not explain that even though I checked in late I would still checked out at the time scheduled.

“The hotel was wonderful. The other staff were friendly. The night staff, I called three times to tell him that my group would be late checking in and he did not explain that even though I was late I would still get checked out at 12:00 p.m. the other day. I mean my group checked in at 3:00 a.m. that morning, we went to our conference and the hotel automatically checked us out at 12:00 p.m., so went we came back to the hotel, we couldn't get into our room because we've been checked out by the hotel without telling us this was going to happen when we checked in that morning. So we were so tired and couldn't go anywhere else, so we had to pay the other night in order to stay and rest for the following morning.”

“This is the one hotel I felt did not live up to its 3-star rating. It wasn't bad - just not as up-scale as other 3 star places I have stayed at. Close to Freeway and strip mall shopping area, grocery store, variety store, gas station. Not much in the way of eateries in the close proximity.”
