• The view was spectacular.
• Showers are small.

“Very low key street presence and the lobby is actually on the 12th floor above the garage which was different but once I found it, it was gorgeous and had every amenity that I could want. After checking in and finding folks already in my assigned room, the staff was quick to reassign me another room. Once in my room, it was wonderful. The view was wonderful. I thought, however, the shower was very small and the entire bathroom does not readily lend itself to privacy if there is someone else in the room. I, however, loved my experience here and would recommend it to anyone.”

• One of the best hotel rooms and design at which we have ever stayed.
• Parking was outrageous. Really small slots; difficult to get in.

“A very romantic and uniquely designed room with an excellent floor plan that made us feel relaxed and inspired. Great view and the decor was very colorful and distinct. We wish we could've stay longer.”

• Parking on 11th floor, Need to go up two elevators to get to room. Shower dripped when not on. TV Remote no batteries.

“I would stay here again. Nice walking distance to Gaslamp District but not too comfortable for single woman to walk back late in evening/night. View (even of City) is beautiful to me. Bed very comfortable.”

• We enjoyed the view of Coronado from our room.
• It's just a bit old looking. Not what I expected.

“The accommodations were very comfortable as all the rooms are suites, but rather small where suites are concerned. However, I asked for a king bed but none were available. I would recommend this hotel.”

“The hotel was located north of the Gaslamp District, which was convenient. The room was not as large as I would have hoped for a suite. The paint was cracking on several walls and there were large stains on the carpet floor. The staff was very friendly.”

“My husband and I stayed here for a San Diego getaway. It's easy to find, close to public transport, and about a 10 - 15 minute safe walk from the Gaslamp. There is really no where to eat outside of the hotel nearer. The suite was small but well laid-out and never felt cramped. Loved the huge mirror above the bed which really opened up the room. Obviously recently renovated, although there was a cabinet under the microwave that was shabby and the fridge would get stuck closed. No biggie really. Great home-base for the weekend. Garage parking is $25 per day. We just found street parking and moved the car in the a.m.”

• I felt very safe, the room was very clean and nicely arranged.
• I had to pay $20/day for parking- something I didn't know prior to arriving.

“The directions were very clear and easy to follow, the employees were helpful (except one receptionist didn't know anything about the trolley or where to find info about them), the room was quite small but had everything. The view was awesome and once I got past the parking garage thing, which was a tight squeeze, my stay was terrific. I love San Diego and I was there to escape the 1 yr anniversary of my mothers death.”

• Clean, view, safe.
• Going from one elevator to the next just to access my room, car, spa, etc.

“Provides with the basics and it is overall clean. Staff is friendly and accessible. Parking is plain out expensive and somewhat difficult to navigate. The worst is having to switch elevators constantly just to get from one place to the next pool, spa, parking, restaurant, rooms, etc. Location is a bit outside of the gas lamp quarter but the walk is safe even when performed late at night.”

• One particular front desk clerk was conscientious and helpful, very customer service oriented.
• No small shampoo in room, no hair dryer, concierge gave poor recommendations for good food, building is not well marked from all angles to identify.

“The bathroom was fine, towels were nice quality, caulking was maintained. Color theme in room was pleasant and trendy. Floors were not well vacuumed in the halls, the colors are colors that show lint, dirt easily. In the rooms I also felt the desire to wear flip flops rather than walk barefoot. The awkwardness of the entrance was a nuisance. Did like the customer computers available. The valet was courteous and helpful. My room assignment lacked a good view.”

• The parking was very difficult, I drive a full size truck and the parking was difficult.

• Beautiful hotel with great service.
• No shuttle service from airport or anywhere.

“This hotel is beautiful in a wonderful old building. The suite is very nice with a TV and couch in the living room and a nice bedroom with a great view. The location is not close to anything however, and a taxi from the Airport was $18. We walked to Gaslamp for dinner but walking past some of the surrounding area was a little scary.”

• We loved the location, the genuine and warm greeting, and the opportunity to have a treat without the excessive expenses!
• In the bathroom, there was motel-like patchwork done on the door of a quality hotel, which just didn't match.

“Overall, our stay at the Sheraton was fabulous. As a family with elementary to Jr. High aged children wanting to get away, relax, and have fun, it was an ideal experience! In fact, we could have lounged around the hotel or roamed the Downtown area, and called that a vacation. Much thanks to this Sheraton! Just for a moment, we lived a luxurious lifestyle without the gruel some expenses.”

“Not easy to get to your room, lobby is on 12th floor, with rooms above. Rooms are nice and spacious. Confusing to have to take two elevators in different part of hotel to get out. No visible stairway exits.”

• Bed was not comfortable. Sheets were low thread count.

“The hotel was average. The staff at the desk were not professional as she was chewing gum. Staff were not helpful in general as they did not take our limitations into consideration in making recommendations. For example, we wanted a place nearby to eat and they suggested a place 10 blocks away. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the sitting area a lot. I found the bed uncomfortable as the sheets were of low quality and I woke up with back pains.”

• Needed some little remodeling tasks.

“The suite was very nice and I had a great view. It had free e-mail service, and the lobby and restaurant were tastefully decorated. It was quiet in my room and the housekeeping was good.”

• It was very accessible from the freeway.
• Valet parking is a must, and $25 a day.

“Our family was very comfortable, however be prepared to spend $25 a day for valet parking, because the hotel in the heart of Downtown and valet is a must.”

“The room (a suite actually) was unexpectedly larger and nicer than anything I thought I'd be able to get for the low price I paid. It was clean and modern, with two TV's and a good view. Parking was expensive, but not atypical for the location, and the valet was fast and friendly. Great staff, although a bit disorganized (they assigned our room to another guest who almost walked in, and at the end of the stay they accidentally charged for an extra night of parking), but they were apologetic and fixed all problems quickly. Overall a wonderful experience.”

• Didn't seem to be well known amongst cab drivers.

“The suite experience was delightful following the rather cramped quarters on a 10 cruise. Once we found the cross over floor to avoid the steep walk up to the main entrance, exiting and entering the hotel became a lot easier.”

• The room was beyond my expectations.
• Parking was complicated and cost a lot.

“We found the hotel easily using our google map. After we arrived, we had to pull up and ask where the self parking was as we only had 2 bags for our one night. We were told to go to the 11th floor of the parking garage so, we did (this took about 20 minutes). After driving for about 8 hours, we were a little irritated with this process, but we proceeded to check in and the desk workers were very helpful and answered all of our questions and more. Once we got to the room, we were very pleased. The room was beyond our expectations with a den area, a separate bedroom and bathroom. We ordered room service and it arrived in 25 minutes and was delicious. We also delved in the Starbucks coffee that was complimentary with the room. The bed was very comfortable.”

“This is a very clean and nice hotel, we stayed at the Hyatt Manchester which is supposed to be a 4-star and we didn't like it near as well as the Sheraton. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we had a nice view of the city at night. The location is great for going in any direction. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I knew going to San Diego.”

• The suites them selves, were extremely comfortable and allowed some privacy for the adults as well as the kids.
• $25 parking per day.

“The city shut off the water in the hotel for repairs. It is a nice hotel, next to symphony hall. Rooms are small but it is comfortable.”

• The front desk staff was excellent, friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
• $20 per night for the parking which was not posted anywhere prior to entering the parking garage.

• Parking extra, rooms a bit tight, must walk through lobby for everything (i.e. pool/gym access).

• The parking was horrible. The garage was on the 11th floor with very small turns and spaces. Expensive parking!
