• Excellent location. Directly across street from Petco Park.
• Smaller pool. Maid service a little lacking.

“We told them we were traveling with young boys who were excited to go to Petco Park and asked for a room overlooking park. When we checked in our room wasn't ready and we were asked to give them about an hour. When we came back they brought us to the 15th floor corner room overlooking the park! Our boys were so thrilled. They wanted to sleep on the window seat and never stop looking at the park. We used the fitness room that was great. We used the pool which was small, but nice. We had drinks by the pool which were reasonable. We did use the valet parking a lot. They were great and knowledgeable about directions. The McCormick restaurant was also great. We were even treated to our own special room behind curtains. Our boys thought we were movie stars. All in all we had a wonderful stay. Thank you Omni! We will definitely stay there we we go to another Padre game.”

• The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. From the bell hop to the front desk staff, everyone went out of their way to make our stay great.
• $30 p/night valet was pretty much our only parking option. Double beds instead of queen-sized beds in our room.

“The rooms were quiet and well-appointed, and because I joined their customer loyalty program they provided us with complimentary beverage service each morning and also received free WiFi service. We also received a few surprises like cookies and milk delivered with the turn-down service on our first night and ice-cold bottled water when we got our car back from the valet. Excellent view from the rooms; we were able to watch the fireworks on Friday the Padres vs. Mets game. Very nice (and popular) pool and jacuzzi area, but the pool was only 3.5 feet deep...not sure if that is bad thing. I would highly recommend this place to families traveling to San Diego.”

• We had a security issue.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Omni, the staff was friendly and informative. We attended a Padres game and it was great to be able to walk back to the hotel after the game. The Omni was also close to the Gaslight area and that was a plus too.”

• The view was magnificent.

“The Omni - San Diego is a first rate property. The staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The building is beautiful with wonderful artwork throughout. The location offered something for everyone, located right next to Petco Park for baseball fans and adjacent to the Gaslamp District for those who like the night life. The pool area is very attractive and inviting with an outdoor fireplace to take the evening chill off! Highly recommended.”

• They took great care of us, upgraded our room to an upper room with an awesome view of San Diego.

“The Omni Hotel is my new favorite hotel in San Diego. We travel to San Diego often because it is my home town and we use Priceline every time we book a room. The Omni hotel was by far the best hotel I have stayed at so far especially considering the fact that we were going to the Padres game at Petco which is across the street. I called ahead like I always do and told the front desk clerk that I would be arriving with two small children and thus would need 2 beds. The gentleman not only accommodated my needs but upgraded our room to an upper floor and asked me if I wanted a bay view or a downtown view. If I have one complaint it was the sliding door for the bathroom which did not offer enough privacy when it was closed.”

• The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice rooms.
• The $30/day valet parking.

“We arrived late at night on the 4th of July and it was extremely busy, but the bell hop was so helpful. He unloaded our stuff quickly and told us he would hold it all and told us to run outside and go watch the fireworks with the kids! All of the hotel staff were extremely friendly. We had a bay view which was awesome. There is train and alight rail right outside, but it didn't bother us at all. Would definitely stay here again.”

• Incredibly helpful staff and very prompt service.

“This hotel exceeded most of our expectations. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were a bit hard but the bedding was comfortable. The facilities were all well maintained and attractive. The service was really superior. The staff took care of every request so quickly that you barely had time to put the phone down before it was handled. The staff was friendly, helpful and unpretentious.”

• Great front desk staff; large, comfortable rooms, excellent location.
• Noise level was sometimes unacceptably loud (both from the street and from within the hotel).

“The Omni's location is outstanding, situated between Petco park and the Gas lamp district. The front desk staff was superb and accommodating in every way possible. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed. Sound levels in our 16th floor room could sometimes be a bit obtrusive, with noise coming from within the hotel (loud pipes, banging, etc) as well as train crossings / streetcars passing outside. All in all, a very enjoyable experience though.”

• I liked the view and the location was close to everything.
• You can hear the cargo trains in the middle of the night, enough were it wakes you up.

“I thought the hotel was very clean, the staff was very nice. The only thing is if you have the water view, the hotel is across the street from the tram station and at night you can hear the cargo trains horn in the middle of the night. I had the worst night sleep. I don't think I would stay there again due to that. The other minus was they charge you $30 a night to park.”

• I have always wanted to stay at this hotel and was glad Priceline got it for me.
• Parking was expensive, almost the rate I got the hotel room.

• I believe my Bluetooth phone was stolen from my baggage.

“A fair hotel considering it was Deluxe hotel. Lobby is sparse and rooms unspectacular even though views were good. I believe someone stole my Bluetooth phone from my baggage and that put a bad taste in my mouth. I did not report the theft because I was unsure until I arrived home.”

• Lovely setting, close to DT San Diego sites.
• A bit complicated to get to during baseball games at Petco a surrounding streets are closed off.

“Love the Omni! I am a morning walker and there are numerous paths with spectacular views to walk. The staff is service oriented and responsive. Food is excellent. Close to the Gaslamp - lots of fun and food within walking distance.”

• The facilities were very nice.
• Very close to baseball stadium, so noise associated with game/after party went on until 1:30am.

“The Omni San Diego is a very nice place. Good location, great amenities, nice rooms, good views. The one small caveat is that it is so close to the baseball stadium that during home games the stadium and nearby after parties can be noisy until 1:30am. Otherwise, though, this is a great place to stay.”

• Family Friendly, very clean, and excellent staff.
• There is no privacy in the bathroom due to shutter dividers to the bedroom.

“As soon as we walked in the hotel staff was excellent in making us feel welcomed. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we received a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room courtesy of the hotel staff. It was the most relaxing and comfortable weekend.”

• Walls very thin could hear everything person next to us was saying all day and all night made for a very frustrating experience and very expensive parking.

• Location was awesome! Higher class hotel!
• The pool/jacuzzi closed at 10pm. No on site parking without paying $30.00. No soda machines on floors.

“The hotel was very nice, classy. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful, right from the entrance. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, view was awesome from the 21st floor. I would have been nice if there were soda machines on the floors. I think $30.00 was steep for parking on site. If you wanted to park on site, valet was your only option. We parked directly across the street for approximately $16.00 a night in a parking garage which was very convienent and I could see the back end of my car from my window. I would definitely stay here again!”

• They issued me a key for a room that when I opened the door it was already occupied. It was very embarrassing for both parties.

• It was 200 yards from the convention center doors.
• Small entry way.

“Perfect downtown location for those visiting the convention center. Clean rooms; comfy bed; large, soft towels. Courteous staff, room was plenty large, great alarm clock. Free WiFi if you register as an Omni guest which is also free. Good restaurants close-by, Gaslamp is 100 yards away, convention center 200 yards away, Petco park right next door.”

“I was very happy with my stay at the Omni San Diego. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and inviting, and housekeeping did a good job. I had a corner room with windows looking over Petco Park and the other faced North looking into the city. The hotel restaurant was undergoing renovations, but there are plenty of restaurants, pubs and eateries nearby. The hotel is located just steps from the Gaslamp Quarter trolley station, so getting around by trolley was very convenient. The hotel is walking distance to a shopping mall and many restaurants.”

“Very impressed! We traveled with our 3-year old and 1-year old children. The hotel performed exceptionally. They provided a pack-n-play for our infant which made it easy since we didn't need to bring our own. The hotel is located adjacent to a trolley station for easy transportation needs. Additionally, downtown San Diego has been cleaned up and renovated nicely. Numerous quality restaurants all within walking distance. A terrific children's museum is also just blocks away. The local transient population is visible, but we experienced no issues.”
