• Loved floor plan unusual -compact and easy access.
• Seating in restaurant small area.

“The overall experience at this hotel was great. The front desk service were very friendly and helpful. We were allowed access to our rooms at time of arrival which was several hours ahead of check in time and we needed that as we had 2-4 bags for each of us in our group. Staff were helpful in getting us to our rooms with minimal inconvenience. Overall stay here was great and I'd recommend it!”

“The restaurant was a cafe at best; the room wasn't kept clean - the ice bucket was dirty/nasty when I arrived, and I wasn't able to get it cleaned by the room attendant for 3 days - finally had to go to the front desk - who couldn't help me because it was after 5pm!”

“This is a basic 80's designed hotel at the far edge of the downtown area with minimal services. Front desk staff appeared friendly, but missed an important 6AM wake-up call. Wireless internet is free, but there is a charge for [non-valet] parking, but free on street parking is readily available on adjacent streets.”

• The customer service in the hotel is bad.
• Gave me wrong room and kept me waiting.

“The hotel should let me know in advance there will be extra charge for parking; Secondly there is a public parking just besides the hotel which is much cheaper than the hotel's but you didn't let me know that; thirdly I booked a king bed room but the hotel gave me a wrong one; after I called the front desk, they just kept me waiting on the phone and also waiting at the door of the changed room. Hotel is good - clean and neat, but service is poor.”

• It was quiet. We could see the ocean from our window. It was close to the harbor and Seaport Village.
• It was right next to the freeway. The fan in our room shut out the noise and thankfully our room did not look out on the freeway.

• Parking cost $14 per day, but parking not always.

“Rooms are large enough for 2, but for 2 adults, and 2 teenagers, the rooms were a bit small, but workable. The pool was small and cold. Parking was the only real issue. The website states parking available, but does not mention that it costs $14 per day. With no close street parking you have no choice but to park in their lot. Depending on the time of day, parking was not always available, not enough reserved parking for paid guests. Also spaces were small, very difficult to park a large SUV.”

• We liked the flat screen
  TV and beds were comfortable.
• Parking was

“The hotel is convenient for downtown activities but not for a family of four who enjoy the use of a pool and other amenities. Everything was small and compact including coffee maker, workout room, toilet, parking garage and the room itself. It was very clean with nice beds and TV.”

• Clean room. Great housekeeping people.

“The location was in the homeless area of San Diego. Our room faced the highway and was noisy. Clean rooms. Great people. Resturaunt was a small Deli type but was not prepared as several food items were out of stock and the people working didn't offer anything in place.”

“The staff needs to get their act together on calling the room. We asked on four occasions for a wake up call. Two times we were never called. We put a do not disturb sign on the door so I could sleep in the afternoon. The maid ignored the sign and knocked on the door waking me up. I responded without opening the door to observe the sign. Within 15 minutes we got a call asking about getting into the room to clean. Not supportive of my needs.”

• Tastefully appointed rooms w/ quality furnishings, comfortable beds, remodeled bathrooms. Friendly staff. Convenient location.
• Semi/see-through door to bathroom. $14.00 charge to park.

“Very friendly and helpful staff. Small, but attractive lobby with a computerized map of San Diego on the wall. The rooms are beautifully appointed, though somewhat small, and very clean. The furnishings are tasteful and of good quality with subtle colors and rich fabrics. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms have been remodeled.”

• Weird room shape due to circular hotel, made it seem a little cramped.

• The room, no free continental breakfast.

“I've stayed in San Diego for the same trade show many times. This was the worst stay yet. To start, the rooms were shaped strangely due to the architecture of the building (cylinder shape). Then at 3:00 AM, we were over come by the stench of old socks that had been left by the previous occupant! Next the sheets on one bed had small stains. Also the bathroom lacked a fan, so you can imagine how that went, and the bathroom door was a sliding door with frosted glass! It did not lock either.”

“The hotel was convenient to downtown and attractions. The hotel was under construction. Construction crew dominated elevator and un wanted noise at 7 am each morning. Excessive mold on walls which was noticed upon leaving the elevator. This was not repaired rather covered up. The floor had a musty smell. The rooms were small however the bed was comfortable.”

“Staff is excellent; hotel is under renovation and the sliding bathroom door was not completely hung, wouldn't close all the way and was not anchored at the bottom so it swung out. When repairs are complete it will be a very nice hotel.”

• I liked how they changed the interiors of the rooms.
• They charge almost $6.00 for 15 minutes of computer use.

“For the area it was nicely priced. You could walk into Gas Lamp if you wanted but a little bit of a hike, parking was extra 12/day but ok room.”

• Well-appointed rooms; close to Fwy but no noise.
• $12 for limited parking; rooms were too small; double beds not queen.

“Quiet area considering 5 Fwy south access literally next door. Nice downtown city and harbor views. Rooms were smaller than used to from 1 and 2 star hotels. Serta mattress beds were very comfortable. Clean linens. Would recommend to business travelers and couples but not families with children. $12 parking rate per night per vehicle a bit steep.”

• The rooms were very narrow and hotel is surrounded by one-way streets.
