• Different.
• Rough on the edges.

• The location was convenient and the staff was very friendly.
• The pool and workout areas were anemic. The bed was very uncomfortable. $28 for overnight parking.

“Trendy hotel. Designed more for the younger crowd who is more interested in name than substance. The rooms are nice although the bed was very uncomfortable. Their concept of a SPA and mine are greatly different. They have 4 small treatment rooms and a single shower. The pool is too small for laps and the gym is two bikes, three treadmills, two elliptical machines and a couple medicine balls. The cost for overnight parking was $28.”

“I thought this hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed in! The staff made you feel very important, the beds were very comfortable and plush, great showers! Excellent!”

• Bell captain was very helpful in switching me to a smoking room.
• Bachelor party across hall from my room-3:30 am very noisy.

“Yuppy hotel-too computer friendly for old lady like me. Dining room menu very limited, service was poor and very noisy.”

• The location & decor were fabulous.
• They over-booked and we were forced to stay at the Westin blocks away.

“Although, the water supply was down for 2-3 hours on Thursday night between 4-7 PM making us late for getting to dinner in a timely fashion.”

• The location was good, great bar area called the beach, staff was wonderful!
• Cost of parking.

“An upscale hotel that caters to the younger crowed. But my wife and I still enjoyed it as we think about our self's as young at heart. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions even when we had a lot. The location was good and you could see many of the attractions in San Diego with out the use of a car. The Trolley was close and easy to use. A short walk to the bay area and close to many good restaurants. When in San Diego we would stay at the W Hotel again.”

• The staff was extremely friendly, excellent maid service.
• The swimming pool was extremely cold, the hotel had very dim lighting.

“I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families with young children. It is a very nice hotel.”

• Stylish and friendly, modern and fun atmosphere.
• Lounge bar did not open until 1:00 p.m.

• Has possibilities for under 30 crowd. Very loud.
• Got back to room at 10pm and room had not been serviced.

“Very young staff, will tell you anything but the actual get it done is not there. Pretty disorganized. Drinks are ridiculous, food is a joke.”

• The room design was incredible; I didn't want to leave the room.
• Their restaurant staff took a long time to seat and forever to serve food.

“Great hotel, difficult to find, I would recommend taking a taxi to eat elsewhere.”

• very trendy. very nice accomodations. liked the bars and other facilities located onsite.

“Very nice hotel. Located downtown and close to all attractions, shops, restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• The room was decorated nicely.
• The lobby set up was strange, two long rows of chairs facing each other.

“The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were sparkling. The pool area was beautiful. I didn't feel like I could sit in the lobby and rest my feet though.”

• Matthew the concierge guy was certainly familiar with the hottest spots around town; all very helpful recommendations very much appreciated!
• The cost of a single alcoholic beverage tended to fluctuate, as did the size of the glass is was served in.

“Over all, I'd say two thumbs up without any hesitation. This place oozes style and charm. Although, you may mistake the pool for a tub.”
