“This hotel, was well above my expectations, from registration to the room, everything was well organized, and spotless. The room was beautiful. The lobby had lots to offer, from a great bistro to comfortable seating and TV viewing stations.” Aug 17, 2009 by
Christina from Victorville,CA
“The hotel is newly remodeled and has a great decor. There are complimentary computers and printer located downstairs. This comes in handy to search out the internet for attractions and places to eat. The rooms were clean and attractive. The pool is heated and enjoyable. Just a great stay.” Aug 11, 2009 by
Judy from Vancouver,WA
“This is a new facility with an extremely helpful staff. They recommended restaurants and even gave us cards for free desserts and appetizers.” Aug 10, 2009 by
Ricky from San Diego,CA
“It was wonderful!” Jul 12, 2009 by
Briena from Casa Grande,AZ
“Everything about this hotel was nice, from the common areas to the rooms. The lobby was so comfortable-plenty of siting space and personal televisions everywhere. It seemed to be a gathering place as well in the evenings for those that wanted to relax and have a drink down stairs. The pool opened early and didn't close until 11:00 pm which was wonderful. The room had a beautiful view and we loved how easy it was to plug in our computer and get the internet so fast. I would love to stay here again in the future.” Jul 6, 2009 by
Meg from Parker,CO
“We loved staying at this hotel, it is cozy and comfy. Only one night I heard the men talking loudly outside our room, it was disturbing for 2 hours. They charge a very high parking fees, I think because of the huge parking lot they have, otherwise everything is fine.” Jul 4, 2009 by
Lisa from Santa Clara,NM
“This hotel is conveniently located. Service was very good. The first day we checked in we had trouble with the bathroom sink drain. After calling the front desk, maintenance arrived within several minutes and had the problem fixed very quickly. Also, we were able to park free even though parking was posted as $14 per day.” Jul 4, 2009 by
Dao from Newbury Park,CA
“Overall, they did a good job renovating what was once the Holiday Inn. Courtyard Marriott is probably one of the best hotels in the Mission Valley area. The hotel had a friendly staff, very clean rooms, a modern feel with an impressive touch screen monitor for local weather and entertainment. Although we did not dine at the restaurant, it seemed quite nice. Free WiFi and airline check in a plus.” Jul 2, 2009 by
Carrie from Fresno,CA
“The rooms are very nicely decorated, modern and have plenty of room. Had no problem using the internet with my laptop. They also have computers with internet access in the lobby. The lobby also has an interactive touch screen board that where can research restaurants and attractions and even print directions. I loved my stay here and didn't want to check out!” Jun 30, 2009 by
Toni from Mesa,AZ
“The hotel was clean, good location and the staff was very friendly. Had to complain about a guest with opening there doors constantly at 11:45 pm and called the front desk and they took care of situation. The only complaint is the parking is made for small vehicles.” Jun 27, 2009 by
Adrian from San Diego,CA
“The hotel was very nice, very comfortable rooms and a got a great deal with priceline, I was surprised when they told me they would charge 14 Jun 15, 2009 by

“Will be using this hotel again.” Jun 7, 2009 by
Jeremy from Casa Grande,AZ
“This hotel is very nice. It was recently remodeled and very clean. It was a little difficult getting to it from the freeway, luckily we had GPS. Check-in was very quick.” Jun 3, 2009 by
John from Lincoln,CA
“I couldn't believe this hotel was only a 3 star. Everything was brand new and exceeded my expectations. I had stayed at a 3.5 star a few weeks back and this 3 star blew that one away. I highly recommend it!” May 21, 2009 by
Laureen from Upland,CA
“Loved the hotel and the location. Very nice, modern, clean.” May 20, 2009 by
Michele from Fresno,CA
“Rooms were clean. Beds were comfy. We had to pay $14 a night to park. But, I was overall, pleased with my stay.” Mar 3, 2009 by
Pat from Mishawaka,IN
“A fresh look and a great staff It was centrally located to everything we needed. It is best for business but very family friendly” Mar 1, 2009 by
TOM from La Habra,CA
“Excellent location, attractive, great workout room. Staff, friendly and helpful.” Feb 24, 2009 by
Elaine from Arlington,VA
“Overall had a great experience. Not all the elevators were working a breakfast buffet would have been better.” Feb 16, 2009 by
Brian from Visalia,CA
“Excellent staff, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great TVs, free wireless connection. Terrific for the business traveler.” Jan 30, 2008 by
Iain from Toronto, ON CA
“Holiday Inn sold this location to Marriot who are renovating and reopening later. All services except breakfast were unavailable. The gift shop was closed, staff was not happy and it showed.” Jan 23, 2008 by
Pankaj from Westford, MA
“I had a mixed feeling when I learned that the 3 days we were staying there were the last 3 days before the hotel was closing for renovation. But, the hotel was overall good. Staff was good but, my constant attempts to upgrade to a suite were futile. I don't buy that in the last 3 days of the hotel all suites were reserved. The biggest shocker was $14 parking fee per day! That was ridiculous. And for guests, the parking should be free! The hotel wasn't in Downtown for that matter where space might have been an issue.” Jan 16, 2008 by
Abby from Garner, NC
“This hotel was OK. I had stayed at this same hotel 3 years ago. The furnishings in the room and bathroom need up dating. Security seemed to be important to them. This hotel is scheduled to be shut down for remodeling this month.” Jan 14, 2008 by
Majed from Louisville, CO
“This hotel is clean and the staff is nice. However, I can't recommend it to anyone else for one simple reason; The week we spent there was the last week for holiday inn Zoo area. Marriott has bought the property and it will be closed for 6 months for refurnishing.” Jan 8, 2008 by
Melissa from Flagstaff, AZ
“The hotel was clean and convenient location, staff was helpful. Very convenient location to Seaworld, local shops/ restaurants and the beach.” Jan 4, 2008 by
Ruby from San Diego, CA
“We stayed there three different times on our trips, and all three rooms we stayed in, the bathroom doors either won't close all the way or it has a big gap after closed. We also had a parking issue with the hotel which we were double charged. The front desk manager is supposed to call to follow up, and until today she still hasn't called back. I would NOT recommend at all!” Dec 15, 2007 by
Arlene from Los Angeles, CA
“Great for the price, reasonable.” Dec 9, 2007 by
Randy from Sugarcreek, OH
“Hotel needs refurbished. I could have stayed at a motel 6 for a less worn facility.” Dec 3, 2007 by
Steve from Monticello, IL
“Clean hotel with good professional staff. I was not happy with the extra $14/day charge for parking.” Nov 29, 2007 by
Robert from Fullerton, CA
“This is a typical 2 star hotel that is trying to pass itself as a 4 star. The restaurant has the veneer of a high class place, but with mediocre food and horrible service with tables left un-bussed around us throughout our entire meal. The staff was largely unhelpful with recommendations about the surrounding area, but was otherwise generally friendly. I was most unpleased with the $14.00 a night parking fee. No other hotel in the area had gated parking, but this one charged this fee and told us it was one of the lowest in the area. (I happen to know otherwise). Because there are so many other good hotels in the area, I would avoid this one in the future.” Nov 28, 2007 by
Jim from Mill Valley, CA
“First night placed in room adjacent to noisy elevator, moved the next day to better location. Contracted for king, but was supplied queen bed. Paid parking ($14/day) ridiculous (neighboring hotels have free parking).” Nov 27, 2007 by
Rajeev from Chandler, AZ
“Nice comfortable hotel. The rooms are a little narrow.” Nov 19, 2007 by
Anne from Valley City, OH
“Avoid this hotel. The few staff was clueless to the area or directions. Charges for parking, unlike other hotels on the strip that have free parking. Morning check out only one staff member on duty, long lines. No carts to move luggage. No shuttles! Unlike other hotels on the strip that have free shuttles. Noises through the walls and halls. One of the worst hotels for the money.” Nov 16, 2007 by
Lynn from Henderson, NV
“It was a good location but just average as a hotel.” Nov 16, 2007 by
Todd from Parkersburg, WV
“Nice location. Front desk person at check in was curt and told me my c.c. Used at check in was denied. How embarrassing in front of my significant other! Nothing wrong with the card. Used it several other places in San Diego. Had them try later and magically it worked. Check in apparently didn't scan it properly (according to discover card people). Parking was a major hassle. Gate card did not work and had to repeatedly go in to front desk to get another. Very negative feelings from this hassle. In this day and age parking a vehicle shouldn't be this much of a problem.” Nov 13, 2007 by
Robert from Tucson, AZ
“Fine except for the noisy party.” Nov 5, 2007 by
Phillip from Alhambra, CA
“Hotel was good. Was not expecting to pay for parking which increased the cost of the stay substantially.” Nov 5, 2007 by
Tony from Pryor, OK
“Nice, clean, comfortable. You have no choice but to pay to park. At hotels right around the corner you don't have to.” Nov 4, 2007 by
Josh from Columbus, OH
“The hotel was very nice, the room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. The price for parking was ridiculous and the elevators were in credibly slow. Great location, close to everything.” Oct 29, 2007 by
Harvey from Arlington, TX
“Ok.” Oct 29, 2007 by
Mel P. from Sandy, UT
“This was honestly one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. When we arrived, we noticed that the floor was dirty. After walking around in our sock for 1 night, our socks were almost black! The microwave and mini fridge in our room did not work. The walls were very thin so we could hear people in the next room and I am sure they could hear our baby crying! When we arrived, we were informed that parking was an extra. The hotel was pretty old so the windows were very small. We had to keep the lights on during the day to make it at all light in our room. We went and ate at the hotel and the table cloths were covered in food. Overall, not a very good experience. I will never stay at a holiday inn again.” Oct 28, 2007 by
Geoffrey from Tarpon Springs, FL
“Great value and convenient location.” Oct 13, 2007 by
Jennifer from Tempe, AZ
“This was my second stay at the San Diego zoo area. The facilities are pretty and well maintained. The staff members were all friendly. Rooms were clean and of good size. The bathrooms are a little small. Overall, I really enjoy staying here and would choose it again without hesitation.” Oct 12, 2007 by
Jean from Adelanto, CA
“The room was small - the bathroom was tiny. We had to pay extra for parking. Didn't like having to pay $0.75 for a phone call. Very little space for hanging clothes. Next time I'll stay at a Comfort Inn. Very poor value for our money.” Oct 3, 2007 by
Hank from Tucson, AZ
“This was fine for a couple of days, but needs some "tightening up" in the customer service end of the business. Kind of a lax attitude to the customer.” Sep 25, 2007 by
Jacqueline from Ojai, CA
“This is not a 2.5 star hotel. Old hotel that has not been modernized sufficiently. The old fashioned air conditioner was very noisy. There were very few electrical outlets available.” Sep 15, 2007 by
Edward from Ridgewood, NY
“Ok for what it was. If you need a relatively clean, quiet place to sleep overnight, the San Diego holiday inn is not bad. I wouldn't stay more than a day or two, though, and would not make it a vacation destination. Charging $12 for overnight parking is silly as I've stayed in very inexpensive motels that let me park for free.” Sep 10, 2007 by
Kathy from Fort Wayne, IN
“The hotel was completely booked the night we arrived. As we opened the door to the room they assigned us we were hit with the awful smell of smoke. As we walked in the room we noticed suitcases and pop cans. Apparently the people who had this room had requested another room but had not moved out. Poor communication by front desk staff caused this mix up. The front desk staff was overwhelmed and frantic with the entire guest. When we came back they did not want to put us in another room. Bathroom was small and need maintenance. Mildew on the shower curtain nod peeling paint on the ceiling.” Sep 8, 2007 by
Euan from Tucson, AZ
“Check-in staff friendly and very helpful, clean lobby area, decor is warming, pool could be a bit bigger for the size of the hotel, not too many sun loungers available. Rooms are of a good size, clean neat and tidy, no paint cracked or wallpaper falling off, clean towels every day if you request them, window A/C units work which is a must as it gets pretty humid in the room. Overall, a nice place to stay in San Diego.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Pam from Corona, CA
“I travel with friends, not a spouse or partner.”
