• Impersonal staff at front desk.

“Good value for Priceline. Staff could demonstrate a little more hospitality. Had to take the car out for disabled family member who could not walk down the steep driveway at the hotel entrance to get to the nearby restaurant.”

• The public areas, rooms, and pool area were very nicely appointed.
• Parking was $14 per night. Internet was not $10 per 24 hours.

“The hotel was very nice. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The hotel staff was very friendly, courteous, and attentive. The downside was that in-room wireless internet was not free, and overnight parking at the hotel was not free, either.”

• GREAT location, close to a lot of shopping, restaurants, and the beach.
• The parking structure was hard to navigate and still had to pay for parking!

“The hotel was GREAT. Very clean and orderly, a little hot in the hallways! The staff was friendly and helpful. Checkout was very simple too! The only problem we had was the parking structure, very hard to navigate if you have a large vehicle and we still have to pay each day for parking!”

  liked the room very clean and nobody bothered us.
• The AC did not get that cold at all and the frig took a while to get cold.

• The room was clean and comfortable.

“Overall the hotel was nice. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. We stayed on the 6th floor with a view of the pool, but were unable to keep the curtains open at night as there was a flood light over the pool shining into our room. The location of the hotel is convenient with shopping, restaraunts, and entertainment close by.”

• It was very clean and staff was friendly!

“Very comfortable rooms - large with plush bed and flat screen TV. Pool and spa and fire pit. Parking lot was cramped, however, and they charged $14.00 per day. Also, $9.99 per day for WiFi.”

• I loved how there was access to a pool and work out facility, I enjoyed the front desk service because they were very friendly, at any time of the day.

• My room was beautiful - flat screen TV and great bed.
• Falling apart or under const without any signs.

“This hotel I expected to be nice being of the Hilton family. Its obviously falling apart or under construction but no signs excusing the mess. The elevators are scary and above elevator are raw bulbs with no cover. Housekeeping staff indifferent yelling down halls without greeting guests. Restaurant was very good and waiter was great. I hate this hotel overall.”

• Even though still under some remolding. The hotel was nicely decorated and the staff was super sweet and nice.
• Loved having a balconies but having the door open was noisy due to being close the freeway.

• They put us in a room that was for a handicap person which was uncomfortable.

“The hotel was recently renovated and there was still some maintenance was going on but not intrusive. The rooms were very comfortable and our eight year old loved the pool! The only negative was the $14.00 per day parking fee which came as a surprise once we checked in.”

“This hotel is in Hotel Circle in San Diego. It provided us the amenities we needed, with a little bonus with a couch. We had a balcony, but the access was blocked. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Name Brand bath products and coffee were in the room. Nice view of Mission Valley!”

• One of the most comfortable I have ever slept in!
• The parking lot isn't that great.

“The staff was exceptionally friendly. The room was large, modern, and well kept. The bed was beyond comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring all of San Diego. I would definitely stay here again.”

• I loved the size of the room, and the view from the top floor.
• I wish the pool/spa outdoor speakers didn't play such loud and fast beat music all the time.

“I was pleased with the appointments in the hotel room. We loved the high ceiling and huge king bed. Housekeeping was quite satisfactory. A problem with odor from the bathroom sink drain was resolved the second day. We were on the top floor with a fine view of Mission Valley. The lights at night were lovely. I was taken a back that WiFi access was only available in the lobby, and quite surprised that there was no complementary computer access (the charge was 20 cents a minute).”

• The sweet dream beds were awesome.
• The lobby was under construction. $14.00 a day to park.

“Very nice hotel with very nice staff. The pool area was beautiful with palm trees and a fire pit you could sit around and drink wine. The beds were again, awesome! The location was close to everything we needed to get to and easy to find. We had a wonderful time. Oh and the cookies at check in are an added bonus. yummy.”

• No refrigerator, only one trash bin in the whole room, construction.

“This room was a good for it's price. The room was furnished beautifully but there was only one trash bin in the entire room - not good. Housekeeping was chinsy on shampoo/conditioner i.e. there were four of us and they gave us one tiny little bottle of each when we tipped staff requesting more. The lobby was under construction so there was a lot of banging and hammering very early every morning. Overall, because it was a holiday weekend - this was a nice hotel for the price.”

• Noisy if you have a lower room.

“If you are noise-sensitive, do yourself a favor and ask for an 8th floor room towards the parking garage. The floors are very thin and when located on the 5th floor, our upstairs neighbors (3 sets of people in 5 days) were very loud. The sliding doors sounded like they were on a railroad track every time they were opened and closed. You could hear everything upstairs, even the opening and closing of dresser drawer. After 5 nights we finally moved upstairs, and it was much better. Should have moved earlier, but there were no rooms available. Wonderful cookies and a very nice staff. However, don't count on receiving any inbound telephone calls - 5 people phoned us and we only got 1 message.”

• The extra charges for parking are necessitated & overpriced. Also Wi-Fi is overpriced.

“The rooms were excellent, very clean with HDTV & staff courteous. The balcony at doubletree was especially nice, but both Doubletree in San Diego & Hilton in Del Mar were excellent experiences. We were disappointed only with the Wi-Fi & required parking charge being somewhat overpriced.”

• Still under a little bit of construction.

“Convenient for sight seeing in the SAN Diego area (with or without a car. As it is next to public transportation), beautiful newly renovated rooms, friendly staff, beautiful pool/spa and a nightly bonfire by the pool. It is clean! Still under a little bit of renovation, but it really doesn't interfere with the comfort and quite of the hotel. Overall, a great experience! I would stay there again.”

“Hotel is centrally located and recently remodeled. Would definitely stay here again as long as the elevator situation is worked out. I was only there one night, so really didn't get to use the facilities, but my room was modern, clean and very comfortable.”

• Elevator was slow, long wait. Maybe due to remodeling.

• Free cookies, cable TV, pool, interior decorations of room.
• Paying $14 a night for parking, no free wireless internet in room, and rude staff at night (although the ones in the daytime were friendly).

“Convenient location in San Diego if you are planning on visiting Downtown or old town (these places are a short drive but there is nothing, besides other hotels, within walking distance). Clean and updated hotel. The rooms were very nice with soft beds, comfy bedding, flat screen TVs, and stylish decorating. Other than having to pay $14 a night for parking (which I wasn't aware of until I checked in), my overall experience was very positive. They are remodeling the rooms on the lower floors and using and elevator for that so the wait for the elevator was long.”

• The new remodeled rooms were excellent and so was the service.
• The parking garage ramps were very narrow and the car bottomed out in the front twice when leaving from the steep grades.

“The hotel was really nice. They give out fresh baked cookies when people check in. I really enjoyed the updated room that I stayed in, things looked very modern and were functional. The in-room coffee and teas were very good also. The only real downside is that the parking garage had narrow ramps that I wouldn't want to attempt with a bigger vehicle.”
