• Breakfast buffet good ok, but cold and not high quality service.

• The charge for internet & parking & doors did not close easy - very heavy & slammed.

“This hotel will nickel and dime you. I had to pay $10 for parking, and on Saturday night, the hotel was literally out of spaces. I had to park in some off lot that was part of the hotel but way far away from the room. There is no reason to pay for parking. Also, every time I left the parking lot, I had to have my original parking ticket. In a car with luggage and travel stuff (along with having windows open in a city with great weather), this was difficult. If you didn't have the parking ticket, the staff was less than friendly.”

“The hotel is undergoing a renovation. They put internet customers in older rooms that have outdoor access. It did not feel safe to be there. It definitely was not a 2 or 3 start hotel.”

“Real nice close to everything. Unfortunately they charge you an extra $10 dollars to park in the hotel parking lot. The undisclosed extra parking fee is pretty pathetic.”

• Nothing at all hotel under construction, had I knew that I would not have stayed there to much dust.
• Under construction, dusty wife could not breath.

“I would not come back again unless it was not under construction, heater did not work had to have fix, ask if I could get a room with out all the dust and the answer was no, if I could I would get my money back.”

• Uncomfortable beds, difficult to find staff for late night check-in.

“Parts of this hotel are currently under construction, so it may be different in the future. The room was clean but the beds were uncomfortable, and one bed sloped. The linens were old. The pool was quite warm and great for afternoon swimming.”

• The location is superb!
• They charge for parking, internet and no breakfast.

“The hotel's location was great. It is undergoing renovation which it needs in the rooms because it's showing its age. Te room wasn't disgusting but it could have used some updating. ”

“This absolutely wasn't a 3 star hotel and I can't believe the money we paid for such a disgusting facility. I felt there was little difference between this hotel and a 1-2 star hotel. Our room, #2014, was located next to the hotels alley for trash and the housekeeping staff, we heard loud noises late at night and it was a definite eye sore. ”

• Pool and spa were ho hum.

“For the price this was an outstanding hotel. There is a lot of renovation going on, but other than that we had a great stay. The "play areas" (pool, spa, grounds) are not ideal, but overall it was clean, fairly quiet, and quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating.”

• The landscaping was beautiful, loved the waterfalls.
• Found old French fries and snack wrappers under our beds.

“Hotel staff are very helpful. The lobby looks nice and the rooms are very clean yet, it felt it was a hotel designed more for business travelers. you would most likely only want to stay for 2days.”

• We were very pleased with our room and the staff.
• There was some construction going on, but it wasn't during sleeping hours and they made it as unobtrusive as possible.

“The entire san Diego experience was great. The hotel is on a side road that made it easy to get on and off of interstates and our destinations to various places was mapped out for us on the hotel brochure.”

• They put us in a room right next to the laundry room, very noisy.

• The restaurant staff was very pleasant.
• The front desk supervisor was very cold and unhelpful.

“When I arrived at the hotel, I had 2 bags with me. Their was no one at the bell desk to assist me with opening the door or helping with the bags. The front desk supervisor and staff at the front were chit chatting with each other and didn't even didn't assist me either. I was pleased with the room. It was clean and comfy.”

• I liked the Hawaiian theme.
• The first room stunk horribly and they could not fix to our satisfaction

“Some of the hotel is very nice, but the first room we were assigned to stunk horribly of mold and mildew and the toilet gurgled repeatedly. The room may have had a toilet overflow problem in the past. We complained and they could not move us until our second night. The second room was nice but they told us no refund or discount for inconvenience of first night was allowed because we booked on line. Instead they gave us to free breakfasts but at their cheaper, less quality restaurant. As we were leaving the restaurant, my wife slipped on a wet floor in the restroom of the restaurant and wrenched her back. The hotel charged way too much for the quality of the accommodation.”

• The tropical theme was cool and the bath and body works they gave you to shower with.
• The ac wasn't working and are room was real tiny and old. there were old spots on the mirrors.

“Nice but not 4 star and felt like I definitely overpaid for 165 and that's why I'm feeling out this survey. I mean I was hot in a tiny old room. that pretty much sums it up.”
