• The room is decent size, bed is comfortable, linen clean.
• Parking garage very tight and dangerous.

“Hotel entrance is easy to miss, entrance to garage dangerous, parking spaces too narrow, charge for parking is unreasonable.”

• Rooms small, very close to freeway and exit ramp, noisy.

“This hotel charged a parking fee that I was not told about. If a parking fee is to be charged, your clients need to know before hand. This practice is deceiving and should not be tolerated.”

• I liked that there was a refrigerator in my room and the staff was helpful.
• I did not like that the parking was in the basement of the hotel.

• Breakfast accommodations were well organized, clean, and tasty. Pool was small but clean and not crowded.
• Parking was extremely cramped.

• The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good.
• The parking stalls were very small. The parking garage was very tight!

• Quiet.
• Walked in on three times.

“The hotel was great. Except for the fact that after the first 5 minutes of settling in, a maid opened the door and walked into the bathroom to drop off towels. The following morning, another maid come into our room to clean, and when was unable to do so had the maintenance man open the lock. When he saw me standing there brushing my teeth he apologized. A half hour later, another maid attempted to open the door again.”

• Very close to Old Town San Diego. Convenient to the freeway.
• The air conditioner in the room rattled and sounded like it was going to die.

“Great place for the money. Conveniently located in Old Town San Diego and very close to Seaworld and the marina. Nice decor and quiet. Very nice touch for this level of hotel: Microwave and refrigerator in the room!”

• Pool was closed.

• Problems with door key.

“The hotel was clean and pleasant. The bedroom drapes would not close completely and dressing at night was somewhat awkward. Was forced to dress in the bathroom or in the dark.”

• Walking distance to old town, very cozy and cute inn, super clean!
• Underground parking is pretty crammed w/ tinny spaces. Adjacent to freeway.

“I loved it! It was cozy and very clean! Their cont. Breakfast had a good selection and employees cont. To restock the pastries, drink and food. All non smoking rooms. Clean rooms, hallways, and stairs. To my amazement, the room included a soft and clean blanket (I actually brought my own since I don't trust the thin and unwashed covers hotels generally use). They even included: a blow dryer, iron, coffee, fridge and all were in brand new condition. I am definitely staying there again and highly recommending it to all. It's ideally located between downtown and la Jolla saving time to all attractions: sea world, sad zoo, mission valley, fashion valley, point loam.”

• Too close to the freeway & on ramp. Could hear.

“The La Quinta Inn located near old town is an adequate hotel located two blocks away from San Diego's old town and within minutes of balboa park and the downtown areas. Friendly staff made for quick check-in and the morning breakfast was a welcome treat. The pool and hot tub were crystal clear. Hotel parking is located underground, so if you drive a larger vehicle parking may become an issue. My only real complaint if it can be called one is against the beds. The first three inches are padded then it is as solid as a sidewalk. So for safety sake do not dive into you bed.”

• Right by the expressway and could hear traffic.

• Freeway noise if you get to stay in one of the rooms that face the highway.

“Pleasant experience, easy walks to old town for meals or to catch transportation to different parts of san Diego. Rooms were a good size and the bed was comfortable.”

“This is an all good hotel for either vacation or business travel. We had a very good experience. Friendly staff, good quality beds and pillows, super clean bathrooms, etc. It was a lot more than we expected for the price.”

• The breakfast area is too small.

“Love this hotel, it's right next to the I-5. Old town, downtown, Sea World, etc. all in the 10-15 minutes driving distance. The breakfast was great, but it was too crowded.”

• Location to old town is good.
• A little hard to find at first , and a little too costly.

“Good staff, a romantic location. Pool and hot tub small. Beds great, and location to eateries and old town close. Free parking helped and close to I-5 which links you to everything.”

• Could not get a handicapped room with 2 beds and the parking spaces were too small.
