“I would never stay here again! I was traveling alone over the Thanksgiving holiday and my car was broken into in their secured garage. You could only get in and out of the garage with a room key and in and out of the elevator with a key. When I approached the front desk to let them know of the breaking, the guy at the front counter acted as though it was my fault. He should be fired for the condescending attitude he exhibited in front of the manager! She asked him to be quiet after being so rude. The on-duty manager offered no help at all. I asked they look at the cameras for the previous evening, the cameras unfortunately do not work unless there is significant motion to detect and come on. The camera only went on when a car pulled up to the gate and really nothing else. The camera went on when I pulled into the garage but did not stay on even long enough to show me getting out of my car and did not detect the motion when I was moving from my car to the elevator. The cameras showed people coming and going but as they moved through the garage the cameras did not detect the motion so nothing came on to follow them through the area. what a waste! Oct 6, 2009 by

“It was the worst stay in my life and other words I would never stay there again.” Sep 17, 2009 by
Chris from San Diego,CA
“The hotel is definitely a 3 star, but if you stay here be sure to not get a room that is on the freeway side. Big mistake. There is no escaping the freeway noise.” Aug 18, 2009 by
Vicki from Anaheim,CA
“We were very pleased with this hotel. Especially with the excellent price we paid by bidding on Priceline. The common areas and our room were very clean and well supplied. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The pool was a little small, but still had plenty of room to cool off and play. The pizza from room service was great and the breakfast buffet was nicely priced with plenty of options. Computers were available in the lobby for checking email or the Internet. They even had a free black and white printer available.” Jul 31, 2009 by
Colleen from Fresno,CA
“The hotel was clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. They have a cute Koi fish pond and provided my children with food to feed them. The room was clean and stocked with a mini fridge and had a balcony with a table to eat breakfast at. Don't expect a continental breakfast here though. You must provide your own. The only complaint I have is that the bed is extremely uncomfortable due to a hard mattress and too soft pillows. Due to that fact I probably wouldn't stay here again.” Jul 14, 2009 by
Michael from La Crescenta,CA “Met my No.1 priority for location. Staff was exceptionally pleasent.” Jul 6, 2009 by
Sudha from Dublin,CA
“Rooms were small, bathroom was even smaller. overall the place looked quite ordinary. There was a big LCD TV in the room, though. The swimming pool was so tiny. The staff was very friendly, they provided us with a microwave for our infant.” Jun 4, 2009 by
Rachel from Mesa,AZ
“I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was nicely set up, they have a big lobby with all you would need to be comfortable weather you are on your own or with others. They have a gym, and other services available. It was located in walking distance to other restaurants, and resorts. I had a good stay with my Husband.” May 31, 2009 by
Stephen from Oro Valley,AZ
“Excellent location, the hotel is just a few minutes from the Zoo, Sea World, Old Town, Waterfront, Maritime Museum. Try for a room away from the freeway side. Room very comfortable, clean and otherwise quite. Staff very friendly.” Apr 19, 2009 by
Kell from Maple Grove,MN
“The hotel is very clean, and the staff is very professional in general. I had two disappointments. 5:00pm shuttle to the airport I scheduled in the morning was 25 minute late departing, and room cleaning was inappropriately early (prior to 9am in some cases despite checkout at 12pm. The restaurant is limited, but functional in a pinch. In room clothing/item storage is minimal but both wireless and LAN/Ethernet internet are provided for free. The bathroom was split, but the shower was excellent. The pool/whirlpool area is smallish and outdoors, but nice. Elevators are the only real vertical transport option and they can be exceedingly slow.” Apr 15, 2009 by
Lori from Rancho Cucamonga,CA
“It was very confined but met my purposes for the weekend. My room was very comfortable, I was 1 block to all Old Town Restaurants and shopping.” Apr 10, 2009 by
Constance from Santa Cruz,CA
“Good hotel and rooms were nice, people were friendly, free internet, pool and jacuzzi.” Mar 12, 2009 by

“A fine hotel, except for the costly parking.” Jan 8, 2009 by
Denis from Newport Beach,CA
“Everything was fine about the hotel except for the traffic noise. It was so loud that my daughter and I could not sleep at night. We had to turn up the volume on the TV in order to hear it because of the traffic noise. I wish I had one of the interior rooms away from the freeway.” Dec 3, 2008 by
Marilyn from St. George,UT
“As I said Marriott Courtyards are most always very good. This site was very lovely!” Dec 3, 2008 by

“I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was incredibly clean and comfortable. Very modern design to the room and attractive hotel all together.” Nov 6, 2008 by
“I really enjoyed my stay. I found the hotel to be well located, even though it wasn't in the areas I spent the most time in. I think the staff was supper nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It is a no frills sort of place, but its perfect as a place to crash every night for a reasonable cost.

“This is a nice hotel to bring your family for a little trip to Old Town. They have a pool, restaurant and the staff is very friendly. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but the rooms seemed to be recently updated (carpet, flat screen TV, etc.) With the exception of the additional charge for parking, $15 a day or find parking on the street (which can be very hard in the summer), I would stay again.” Oct 1, 2008 by
Alex
“Loved it! If I didn't have a van full of equipment I would have parked on the street, which is pretty safe, but had to park in the garage and pay extra. Beautiful place, great location and super friendly staff!

“Very nicely located near old town. Room would have been much nicer if it was not so close to the freeway (5N). Parking seemed expensive at $15.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Steven from Ventura, CA
“This hotel was in a great location it had nice size rooms, it was clean and very close to the freeway.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Jenny from Rochester, MN
“Our room was very noisy. We got very little sleep. The location was very convenient to where my brother lived. It was very easy to get to the tourist attractions around the area as well as the airport. The location was a little bit scary at night and you definitely would want to pay for hotel parking. I would stay here again but I would bring earplugs. We were right outside the elevator and facing the interstate. I would request a room facing Old Town Avenue.” Sep 4, 2008 by
William from Townsend, MT
“Good hotel.” Jul 27, 2008 by
Marylou from Houston, TX
“Room was comfortable but small, no fridge, and parking turned out to not be free. We complained politely and respectfully, that we were not informed at check-in about the parking and the $15.00 per night fee was dropped. That was nice! No continental breakfast, buffet was $13.95. We walked to awesome restaurants a few blocks away.” Jul 26, 2008 by
Keith from Tempe, AZ
“Over all we enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Julio M. from Las Vegas, NV
“The hotel itself was really nice. The bed was fantastic, we hadn't slept like that in forever. Overall our stay was fabulous.” Jul 20, 2008 by
Lcf from Foster City, CA
“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had called ahead and asked for two queen beds, a room away from the freeway, and a mini fridge. They came through for me with all of my requests-and all with a smile! The beach balls they gave my children when we checked in were much appreciated as was the extra hour they let us stay when we got behind schedule the morning of our checkout. I was really happy with my stay at this hotel.” Jul 19, 2008 by
John from Phoenix, AZ
“Hotel was easy to locate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and quiet on non freeway side of hotel. Short walk to shops and restaurants.” Jul 17, 2008 by

“This was a great place to stay. It was very convenient. And I will try to stay there every time I visit San Diego.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Steve from Buckeye, AZ
“The San Diego Courtyard Marriott is located three blocks outside of Old Town, a tacky, tourist trap, below one of its tiniest neighborhoods. The hotel has a small swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, and access to computers in the lobby. While the quality of the desk staff varied, the maid service was excellent, and one desk clerk, Jameson was honest, helpful and engaging. One of the best things about the location is that it is walking distance to the San Diego trolley service, which for $5 will get you anywhere from the northern end of the city, to the border of Tijuana on the south.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Rachel from La Mesa, CA
“Overall this hotel was nice but there were a couple of small things they could do to improve. First the elevator floor had a mystery spill of yellow goop which we had to avoid stepping in for two days although I didn't exactly take the time to tell the front desk about this so whatever and the parking prices per night to park on their property was a bit steep and not expected so we parked on the street. The pool was supper small in ratio to how many rooms and people wanting to swim there was. It was like swimming in a crowded children's pool. It was I must say within walking distance to lots of shops historical sites and restaurants in Old Town. The trolley station was a nice walk not too far and perfect for those who wanted to avoid downtown traffic. The beds did come with lots of pillows and it was pretty comfortable. We did get a room next to the freeway so we did have that constant freeway noise so ask for a room on the other side if you are a light sleeper like me. Overall I would stay here again.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Terry from Apple Valley, CA
“Great place freindly people would stay again.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Sarah from Highland, CA
“The room we got did not have a lot of room. The king size bed filled most of the floor space. Which made it hard to set up a playpen and blow-up toddler bed? The bed was not the most comfortable. We were disappointed to find you either had to park on the street or pay to park ($15 a day) and that there was no complimentary continental breakfast. The location was great though (very close to Seaworld, San Diego Zoo, and the beach) and it was quiet neighborhood. The service we were given was also very good.” Jul 3, 2008 by

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Old Town. It was more than we expected from ordering it online. Everyone was helpful and accommodations were wonderful. We will definitely stay there again.” Jan 1, 2008 by
GAURAV from FREMONT
“I went to LA, Vegas and San Diego and this was the best hotel I loved in out of the three places. This is very conveniently located in old town, San Diego. Since we were there on our own (w/o car) this proved to be an ideal location.” Nov 16, 2005 by
Jesse from Salida, CA
“I had something stolen out of my truck that night.” Nov 16, 2005 by
Jim from Brawley, CA
“This hotel is as convenient as you could want, provided you have your own car. It isn't the most romantic, and the freeway noise on that side is annoying to some, but it has a good overall value.” Nov 16, 2005 by
Shelby from North Hollywood, CA
“Loved this little hotel. The service was fantastic. If I needed anything the staff was on their way to take care of it. The room was spacious for a standard room, plenty enough to be comfortable. The little restaurant in the lobby was lovely, good food, reasonably priced with a energetic staff. There was internet access in the room, several computers set up in the lobby area as well as a business center in the lobby floor for guests only. One thing I liked was that elevators, and specific rooms were locked with room key access only. To me this was a good thing, and I appreciated the added security. In the lobby 24 hours a day they had fresh coffee (Seattle's Best). It was 2 blocks from the heart of old town (walking distance) from many lovely shops and restaurants. The only thing I can say against the place is that it was $12 a day to park. However, that's not bad in San Diego, and there was plenty of parking in their secured lot. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for business or someone highly dependent upon computers.” Nov 15, 2005 by
Lenny from Ventura, CA
“I arrived very late and the computers were down so it took a little bit of time to get me registered. The staff was very helpful and everything was fine until I found out that I had to pay an additional $12 to park in the garage. At that time of night there was no street parking available. Other than that, the hotel was great and the breakfast buffet was good as well.” Nov 8, 2005 by
Jim from Bellingham, WA
“Remodeled charming hotel close to old town amenities.” Nov 3, 2005 by
Maria from Somerton, AZ
“Clean, nice location, friendly staff.” Oct 26, 2005 by
Linda from Riverside, CA
“The hotel was very clean, the staff was courteous and friendly. The rooms were an excellent value and comfortable. We will return to this location to enjoy more of San Diego.” Oct 26, 2005 by
Brandi from Orange, CA
“Very clean, nice, with friendly staff, but the room are on the small side. The bathrooms where nice and big. Great shower heads along with comfortable beds even for the tall traveler. Parking was tight, but secured underground with a closed gate. Actual non smoking rooms that really don't smell like smoke.”
