• TV reception was good.
• Poor location, staff didn't fulfill commitments.

“Situated in the Spokane Valley (read light industrial and business parks), La Quinta is a couple of miles from I-90. It sits across the street from the garbage transfer station. The hotel abuts a gas station whose reader board says, "We make sub sandwiches." That set an appropriate tone for what was an adequate stay, but one not worth repeating. The front desk person was apologetic but offered no solutions.”

• Total experience was excellent.
• A bit out of the way but overcomes by quality.

“The La Quinta Spokane is located in an industrial area however not far from a large mall. The place is spotless! The indoor pool was a hit with the kids. The room good sized, two queen beds, a desk with two chairs, and a comfortable easy chair. Great complimentary breakfast in the morning. Staff was friendly and helpful, good suggestions as to restaurants and directions to places we wanted to go. Couldn't be more pleased. More than made up for the location.”

• Great staff, wi-fi was great and the late check out was a bonus.
• To far up Sullivan, be nicer if it was closer to valley mall.

• The location was good for me.
• The quality of food at the breakfast bar was abysmal.

“I live in the Seattle area and due to a terrible storm I was going to be late checking in, if I was able to make it at all. I called to let the front desk know I wanted to keep my reservation, but may be delayed or possibly not be able to make it at all (I told them I would call them again if we weren't able to get out of the area due to storm damage. They got almost hateful with me and told me it wasn't there problem and Id have to call to cancel my reservation. I wasn't trying to cancel anything. I was trying to be courteous and keep them in the loop (Seattle was a disaster area). They lacked all courtesy. It ruined La Quinta's reputation for me (train your staff to be courteous or doesnt expect to see me or my money).”

• Large room.
• Location is bizarre.

“Average hotel, location out of the way, "kitchen" was microwave and refrigerator, only extra was a dishwasher, complete with dirty dishes, cleaning staff left empty used paper cups on counters, sofa cushions stained..”

• We were looking for something affordable with an indoor pool. We also enjoyed their breakfast room.
• I thought this hotel would be closer to the downtown area. I should be listed that it is in Spokane Valley.

“Overall this was a very nice place to stay. Our room was clean and convenient and my grandchildren enjoyed the pool. We enjoyed the continental breakfast very much. The only downside was the location. Not being familiar with Spokane, I hoped that it would be located closer to the downtown area as I was scheduled for cataract surgery on the day of our departure and we were about 20 min late trying to get back to the river front. When I called the hotel on the night of arrival the front desk person was very nice but didn't know how to direct me to their location. We arrived late and struggled to locate it. ”

• The hotel was clean and staff was friendly.
• The location of the hotel is out of the way and did not feel particularly safe.

“If the hotel was located more centrally and felt safer, I would be more likely to want to stay there again.”

• Good breakfast, close to Spokane Valley mall.
• Noisy neighborhood, clueless front desk staff. Also they allow dogs in the rooms.

“This hotel is fairly new and has comfortable beds. However, the walls are thin and it is situated on a busy street leading into the Spokane Industrial Park, with the BNSF train tracks about 1/4 mile away. The trains whistle through about every half hour all night. ”

• Great staff, clean, good breakfast.
• The location - not that it was bad, but I did not even know anything existed out in that area.

• Service.

“I called ahead of time for two beds and was assured there would be one waiting for me and there wasn't. My kids slept on a very uncomfortable foldout. The boiler went out on the second day and no hot water for showers in the morning. I was given a free night's stay for another time. Breakfast was good and the pool is open 24 hours. Staff wasn't extremely helpful.”

• Clean, roomy, good location, accommodating.
• Boiler went out - had cold shower.

“We were pleasantly surprised. It was a short way from the mall, which was nice. It was very nice. Since the boiler went out, I had a cold shower but they gave us a certificate for a free night! I told them, I never expected THAT! We were very pleased. Nice continental breakfast also.”

• The pool was open 24 hrs and gave the kids a chance to wind down.
• The maids were a bit noise but it was 9am and the breakfast should be longer on Sat would be nice, it closed at 9.

“The staff were awesome since I had 13 year olds with me and they can get a bit loud. The pool was great being open 24 hrs. The breakfast was OK as well as others I have stayed in.”

• The receptionist was extremely helpful.
• We were expecting two non smoking rooms, but instead got two smokers rooms.

“This motel is slightly off the beaten path, which means you don't hear traffic noise at night. At the same time, it is close to good shopping and a few restaurants. The continental breakfast was one of the best I've ever encountered. It actually had eggs and fresh fruit. The personnel bent over backwards to correct the problem concerning our rooms.”

• the variety of the continental breakfast was good, the pool was big, the staff was very friendly and helpful
• there was garbage on the bathroom floor, there was flaky junk on the sheets

“The location isn't all that great, the condition of the hotel room it self makes me not want to stay again but the staff, the breakfast and the pool were good quality. I liked the fact that McDonalds was so close but the convenience store closed too early.”

• Clean, generally pretty quiet.
• Breakfast foods (e.g., eggs, waffles, biscuits) were COLD.

“Overall, the hotel was okay. It is somewhat isolated, however. I did not feel entirely safe in the parking lot when I went out early in the morning. There was a VERY unsavory character there. The hotel staff were aware of his presence, yet they remained totally absent from the scene. I did not feel the presence" of the staff at all, which contributed to my feelings of insecurity."”

• Clean homey atmosphere. Quiet and easy access.
• No one was at the counter at check-in. Had to wait about 5 minutes for their return. Could use another clerk for check-in.

“This was a nice place at a decent price. The full breakfast was okay. I would have preferred different selections and the food was prepared marginally. It was a nice stay, although I usually stay closer to the city.”
