• Heater takes a long time to heat up.

“The room was nice good appearance, clean. The high speed internet did not work. One of the beds was more comfortable than the other. The heater took all night to heat up our room. Small rooms.”

• The restaurant was pretty decent and pretty cheap price wise.
• The room did not have a Refrigerator or a Microwave. Also, I would have liked the pool to be heated.

“Overall the hotel was pretty nice but the price was kind of much for the room. It was more of a standard room. It did not meat our expectations. No microwave and a refrigerator in the room. Also, I would have liked the pool to be heated however my husband did not mind that it was not. Very comfortable bed and the room smelled fresh and clean. Room overlooked the pool. Also, during our stay the fire alarm went off twice. once in the morning and woke us up although we did not plan to sleep as late as we did. Overall, good choice for us. We felt pretty safe in the hotel we chose.”

• Very nice room and staff.
• They canceled room service for dinner and the bar on the afternoon of the day with a note under the door.

“The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was wonderful with a king size bed and sofa for watching TV. I would have liked to be told when I checked in that the next evening would not have services I wanted due to Memorial Day. It was my husband's 50th birthday and I wanted to have a quiet dinner in the room, only to have a note slipped under the door that all services would not be available in the evening. Too short of notice for me.”

• Easy check in/out; room clean, bed comfortable.
• Location - not a very safe area. A little noisy.

“A perfectly adequate place to stay near downtown Riverside if one isn't expecting "frills". Parking was free. I wouldn't recommend walking around the area at night with children. The room was clean, check-in and check-out were fast and painless. Bed and pillows comfortable. Didn't try the room service, though it was available.”

• The thing I enjoyed quietness the room.
• The A/C & hotel services channel were not working when I arrived. They did fix it.

“Quiet and safe hotel. I might stay there again, but I think I had prefer to stay closer to some of the shopping centers. It's really good place to stay for a business traveler.”

• No covered parking. Get's really hot in Riverside in July!

“Hotel was very pleasant. I enjoyed staying there. The rooms were kept very clean. The pool could have been a little more warmer since the building shadowed the sun in the afternoon, and where was the spa.”

• Very clean, nice comfortable beds, roomy, refrigerator and microwave equipped, security parking.
• Its not far from the ghetto about 1/2 mile to 1 mile.

“The area is not that great, but otherwise this hotel is very nice. Very upscale. Nice comfortable beds and feather pillows. Very spacious rooms equipped with microwave, refrigerator, and computer hookups. Bathroom was well stocked with nice towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, facial tissue, etc. Nice outdoor swimming pool and heated hot tub.”

• Nice and safe location.
• It will be perfect if there will be a fitness center.

“The hotel is very nice and in a safe area. People there are friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea are ready to take every morning in the lobby for free. A nice little restaurant located at the lobby provide great continental breakfast buffet and the price is reasonable.”

• The bathtub drained very slowly.

“Hotel was nice. Room was comfortable. There was a lot of traffic noise out the window. The tub drained very slowly resulting in the tub being half full at the end of a shower. Overall the hotel was very good, though.”

• Charged 95 per day for internet access and for a newspaper.

“Hotel rooms are large and comfortable $9.95 per day for internet access in 2007 is a joke. Also you are charged 75 cents per day for a use today newspaper unless you opt out. If you¿re going to charge guests for a newspaper, then provide a real paper (nay. Times, lea. Times, W. St. Journal.) Not expected at 3 star levels. Construction on floor above both Friday and Saturday made "quiet enjoyment kind of tough" could have been advised at check in. Parking is also sparse due to convention rooms.”

• The desk cleft tried to make the stay a positive experience.
• Lobby stunk, no wireless in room, internet cable did not work, spider in my bathtub.

“I have no interest staying in a hotel that does not offer wireless. There was an odor in the lobby that was unacceptable. I do not plan to return. In addition to the spider my tub the hot-cold water knows was backwards. I stayed in room 133.”

• The staff was well trained to please the travelers.
• Dirty pool, sauna, dirty A/C wall unit that caused asthma/allergy.

“The courtyard has always been my choice due to the staffs. However, housekeeping issue which regards to dirty pool (water bottle, yellowish on bottom, sauna (murky); especially too much carpeting in hallways, rooms may harbor all microorganism which not visible to naked eyes but smelled. I had spent one night sleepless due to allergy/asthma crisis and missed my meeting the next day due to no sleep. The A/C wall unit's coil is full of white fibers on the coils. I like the staff and feel shame to complain, however if you can relate to the higher level of Marriott about the issue. I am a microbiologist who is very wary of carpeting and what microorganisms can affect peoples.”

• The room was spacious and had lots of amenities.
• It didn't have central air.

“My room was quite nice, and very spacious. In addition to the bed, there was a comfy couch and a small balcony. It almost felt like a suite. The room was very clean, and the staff were friendly, if hot. There doesn't seem to be central air in the hotel, which is terrible in an Inland Empire summer. The night after I stayed at this hotel, I stayed in a different, much more expensive hotel, and I honestly liked the Courtyard by Marriott better.”

“I guess, for the quality rating, it was ok. The elevators seemed to be in need of service (one, in fact broke down during our stay) and the floor and carpet by the ice machine was wet. But the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.”

“The hotel was very good, my only suggestion does not involve the hotel, but the instructions in getting to location that is on you webb sight---weather your staff does this or the driving directions to the locations is supplied by Marriott, of course I don't know--but the instructions to locate the place did not give us the exit street name--or names--so that we did
waste 1/2 hr of getting to the Marriott from the Rt 60 which is one of the 2 major roads around
Riverside--the other being Interstate 15.”

• The staff was extremely pleasing and accomadating and friendly. The neighborhood is okay. We had no problems while staying at the Marriott.
• In the am they wanted to clean the room, before we were ready to leave for the day. We explained we were staying 3 days and to please come back later

“Very plesant staff. Helpful and friendly. Nice people staying there. Rooms were clean and if you needed something the staff was vey accomadating.
Motel is not in fanciest part of town but the staff and patronage of establishment was outstanding! I'd stay again w/o reserve. ”

• The rooms were freshly remodeled and very clean.
• The front desk staff was rude and not customer-oriented.

“The hotel itself is situated close to UCR and all the entertainment related to it, which is great. There are 2 Starbucks right down the street. There was extensive remodeling going on so we awoke to banging in the walls, but we were made aware of that the night before and we were prepared. None of the facilities were closed from the remodeling which was great. The front desk agent was very rude but I wouldn't down rate this hotel for one person. Overall, a great stay and great price. We would definitely stay here again.”

• Friendly staff. Several free newspapers even on Sunday. Spacious room.
• We weren't forewarned about the construction work. Vanity area very small.

“Hotel is under renovation which means it is noisy during the day (wasn't supposed to start until 10am on the weekend but we could hear the noise before then). Room was clean and spacious but didn't care for the bathroom design, door opens into vanity area which means you can hit somebody by accident. Vanity (sink) area very small.”
