• Location was nice with lots of variety of restaurants. The breakfast they served was more than adequate.
• Nothing.

“The hotel was supper nice the interior was super awesome. The location wasn't to far of the main highway. Lots of stores and restaurants and fast food location scattered about. After thinking about if the room was going to represent more like a motel room, rather than a hotel I started to think if I was going to like my stay. Only to find the room was nicely presented!”

• Not too far from the beach, has a nice bar within walking distance.
• Better get to the continental breakfast early, area is small.

• Good price.
• Far from local attractions, beds were not comfortable, room smelled & no restaurant at hotel.

“This room was uncomfortable and smelly. It was located 15 minutes away from the highway and a bit difficult to find. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and smelled. The hotel had a 3 prong binder with local restaurant information. None of the restaurants delivered to the hotel. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. Spend a little more money and avoid this hotel.”

• Get breakfast in lobby, very nice hotel staff, easy location to beach.
• The noise at night was not great. We had a dog barking, a baby screaming and people pounding up the stairwell at night.

“The hotel is nice, clean, with good breakfast in the morning. It is close to the beach so it is easy to travel back and forth. The beds are adequate. We got a huge bathroom with dressing area. That was very nice.”

• The hotel was a great value, I loved the interior corridors.
• The floors were very dirty, our feet turned black if we walked barefoot in our room.

“I stayed here with my family while we attended a nearby theme park. The room was very clean for the most part. Our feet got very dirty walking barefoot though. Overall the room was a great value, with great amenities. The breakfast was yummy!”

• It was located close to the beach and restaurants.
• The only thing I didn't like was the parking.

“The hotel was nice enough for us to stay in with our child. The parking was a bit cramp but we were still able to find a close parking to our room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling out to san Diego or in Oceanside.”

• Clean, quiet & easy to find.
• Could use more parking.

“Hotel staff was pleasant; room was clean; no noisy neighbors; no view but easy to find and straight up from the ocean. Breakfast was sufficient and you could eat outside by the pool area, if you wanted to.”

• The bedspread smelled dirty, the AC was noisy.

“We have used this hotel many times to visit our son at Camp Pendleton. All our experiences have been great. We will continue to stay at Martys Inn when we are in Oceanside.”

• Convenient to major thoroughfares.
• No elevator and front desk didn't ask if that was ok in assigning room.

“Clean and comfortable, well-located as long as you didn't want to be close to the beach; staff accommodating; nice pool and spa; convenient for meeting goers in the area but not showy.”

• The walls are thin.

“I enjoyed my stay here, it was relaxing. Glad I didn't have my children though, the walls are too thin. Could hear people next to my room while being "intimate" throughout the night. Other than that, it was enjoyable.”

• Dirty walls in the room

“Overall a very good hotel. Our room was nicely painted and a bit updated. I found the wall by the bed to have a stain that ran down the wall and in the bathroom there was something sticky on the wall. Other than that the experience was outstanding.”

• Staff was friendly. Public places clean.
• Wiped up a spill on carpet and found that it was very dirty. White washcloth became charcoal from the dirt.

“Reasonably priced hotel that is approximately 1 1/2 miles from the freeway. Friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable with microwave, mini frig, desk and table. Carpets in room were not clean but other areas were.”

• It was clean and had a nice complementary breakfast.
• The lock on the door came off and my husband had to find locate someone for a screwdriver to fix it. Also could hear the people above walking around.

“I thought it was clean and easy to find. It is about 6 miles from Lego land and that is why we stayed there. It really served its purpose. A place to sleep and shower. It had a great complementary breakfast in the morning. Kids had waffles. When we arrived, there was a fridge in our room, which we weren't expecting, so that was nice. The down side was the chain lock on the door broke and we had to locate a screwdriver so my husband could put it back on. (It was late at night we were already in PJ's).”

• The bed was not the best, but OK for one night.

“Definitely served our needs. Best price we could find and worth it. We had a nice, clean, non-smoking room. Good for one or two nights.”
