• No place for soap or shampoo in shower - very poor.

“Breakfast was very good but that was the only thing good about my experience. Room was noisy and shower/bathroom was terrible.”

• Close to the freeway.
• Old, shabby, Awful bed, Pot smokers and Skateboarders outside.

“I would never recommend this hotel. Very shoddy workmanship was done when minor update or renovation was done. Noisy, next to freeway and casino. Very small rooms with uncomfortable beds (my back hurt all night and the next day. Breakfast was OK. Attendant was good and working hard. Orange juice was awful, cheap pastry wasn't good, but waffles were OK.”

• Check in was quick.
• It does not have a jacuzzi, no elevator for 2nd floor.

“This hotel is right off the freeway for easy access but has a small pool and no jacuzzi. They do not have an elevator for the 2nd floor and the rooms are very very small with a lot of furniture crammed in. We did not have a place for our suit cases, had to put them on the table.”

• Surprised by the extensive breakfast buffet! Fresh waffles!
• The pool is next to a gas station, clearly in view, which effected our feeling of privacy.

“Extremely noisy - next to the freeway on one side, a busy street on the other, a casino on another and a gas station was next to the pool! Reasonably comfortable beds. The lobby staff was very nice and the breakfast was not bad for a continental spread. Definitely low end though!”

• Friendly staff, decent breakfast.
• Rooms the size of a closet.

“The rooms here are very small but the staff has a big heart. Their breakfast included someone who made the waffles for you. Its fairly close to the beach but has a view of the freeway. Not a bad hotel for the money especially since the hotels in the area is very expensive. Its good for business travel but if you're on vacation I would recommend spending a little extra money for something a little nicer.”

• I enjoyed the breakfast bar but there was no where to sit and eat.
• When I checked in the girl behind the desk did not know how to check me in. Another employee did it while she was on the phone with someone.

“This hotel was very dirty and needs some remodeling. The carpet was coming up in the corners and there were rust stains in the shower. The hotel room was very dark and dreary.”

• TV channels fuzzy, crowded room, housekeeping.

“We knew we were getting a value motel and not to expect the best - so we were prepared for some disappointment. To begin with, the location was awkward getting in & out right off the freeway. From the outside it looked rundown & not in the safest area. Inside the room, it was very crowded but the decor looked to be somewhat updated. It did have all the amenities we were looking for when we requested the room- fridge, microwave, breakfast, pool. The TV channels were very fuzzy & not many to chose from. The complimentary breakfast was in a crowded area in the lobby, with a crabby attendant that acted like she hated her job. On the last day we decided not to even go through the hassle & found a nice little dinner near the beach. As for sleeping- small, uncomfortable beds & occasionally waken by loud mufflers from the highway exit ramp right next to the motel. Since we had low expectations we were not disappointed. Will probably look elsewhere to stay next time we return to the area.”

• The pool water was warm (saltwater).
• Too small, there was literally no room to move in the room.

“This hotel was not in the best area (casino right next to it, run down area). The room was so tiny that we couldn't have 2 people moving around at the same time. The bed was against the AC, so the only cold spot in the whole room was that side of the bed.”

• It was very easy to get to and find staff was great.
• The restaurant. I live only 1 mile from the china star in Tucson so this was a disappointment.

“We would stay there again. Close to the beach, some really interesting museums, and the freeway was very close. The staff was very friendly, but I would not stay upstairs again, there was no outside noise but my knees can't take that many stairs oh well, who knew, but again we would stay there again.”

• The hotel was clean and up to date. It had a refrigerator and microwave.
• Room was small and to get to the second floor you had to climb stairs.

“This hotel had easy access to the freeway. It was very close to Oceanside pier. It was clean and the staff was friendly. They provided a continental breakfast and the room had a microwave, refrigerator and a coffee maker. The beds were ok.”

“The beds were fine but the bathrooms were problematic. Toilet in one room took three or four times to flush and we had a toilet above leaking into our other bathroom during our stay. Looked like the sink might fall off the wall. Dangerous entrance from the street with off ramp in the way.”

• Continental breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Good place for solo business traveler since its right next to the 5 freeway.
• The room was very small. It is only good if you only shower and sleep in the hotel.

• It was good place for a quick last minute getaway. Not to far from beach.
• A little cramped, to much noise. Doesn't offer that many amenities.

• The rooms were new and up to date. The breakfast was great, you could make your own fresh waffle or have cold cereal, etc.
• The room smelled a little smoky, the bathroom sink was backing up a little, the room was a little tight w/the kids.

“Overall I enjoyed it. Only 5 min. away from the beach the rooms were fresh and clean feeling, the breakfast was great. I would stay again.”
