• The doorman and entire staff were very helpful, respectful, and quick to meet our needs.
• The fire alarm went off 2 days in a row at 6:00 am. Very annoying and regrettable.

“The service and attitude of the personnel was remarkable and refreshing. Any problem that was found was quickly resolved with a wonderful attitude that was obviously geared toward customer satisfaction. The only downfall to this hotel was the unfortunate occurrence of the early-morning fire-alarm soundings. Two days in a row, at 6:00 am, the fire alarm went off making for an unhappy beginning to the day due to evacuation of the hotel. No compensation was offered for this inconvenience. Had they offered an explanation or compensation for this, the customer service would have been over-the-top.”

“This is the first time we've stayed Inn at the Park. I asked for a view room and was given one with a great river view. The room itself was neat, clean, and well decorated. Bedding was great. The common areas were well cared for, the restaurant again had a view of the river and the food was quite good. Free parking always a plus.”

• Double paned windows had broken seal, so could not see well the views from our room.

“The hotel did not have any information in the room concerning location of weight lifting room, where ice machines were located. Did not have a menu or anything else in the room for room service. We were going to have an early dinner on Saturday about 4:00 p.m. but the restaurant was closed, and we had to ask a staff member when they opened, so we then went to the Olive Garden. Poor advertising. Had only a 17" television screen in the room.”

“Great location on the park and river, walking distance from Downtown mall and great restaurants, nice accents in room and quality workmanship. Bathroom small but tub, showerhead, and vanity first class. Bed was great and soft. Access doors were locked promptly at time posted.”

• The bed was great and the staff was very nice.
• Bar was way expensive and no music.

“It was a very nice stay but I have to say that our room was not ready for people to stay in. There was no door on the closet. I thought maybe they were all that way but the other 2 rooms had closet doors on theirs. The bathroom accessories were very nice and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again.”

• Excellent location.
• The bed was very uncomfortable and too soft. The box spring was damaged.

“Hotel was good overall. Parking can be difficult if it is busy and the pool was nearly always over-crowded. The front desk charged me twice for my movie rentals - once in cash and the other with MasterCard. Otherwise the experience was good. The location is excellent. But for a couple on a getaway, it was not the most romantic place.”

• Front desk staff was helpful and friendly.
• The maid service. Shower curtains had pink allgy on the bottom of the curtains. Not very friendly maids.

“Our stay was short. The front desk staff was friendly. We had to call twice from the airport before we got the shuttle. The shuttle going back was late and didn't want us on it. Lack of communication there.”

• I felt secure there instead of where someone had recommended.
• It didn't have a comfortable chair to sit in. Had a super bright light outside window that drapes didn't block.

“Very nice atmosphere with friendly people working there. The rooms were clean and neat. Parking area felt secure without having to go through a gate. Would highly recommend this hotel!”

• The location next to the river and downtown was perfect.
• They forgot my wake-up call.

“This hotel was a real nice place to stay. The room was a little small and cramped, and they forgot to give me my wake-up call. I missed my appointment and had to spend extra time at the doctors office so they could get me in. Hotel gave me a lame excuse about missing the wake-up call. Manager said he would call me and follow up, but never did.”

“I checked in late in the evening with my 4 young children. We went to our room to find out they put all of us in a room with only 1 bed! Called the front desk and they immediately moved us into a room with 2 beds. We even had a beautiful view of the river. Kids loved the pool area and I loved the promptness of their helpful staff.”

“For the price I paid, I can find nothing wrong with the Red Lion Inn at the Park. I hope to stay there in the summer, which I feel would be even better. The staff was great, and made us feel at home. They bent over backwards to make our stay even better.”

• Breakfast is not included in price and the breakfast is very spendy.
• Not enough parking.

“Very nice hotel, good location but the parking is a bit limited and breakfast is not included and it is pricey. But it is a great place for business and leisure travel. I did have a problem getting wireless in my room (too late in evening to be fixed that night) I informed the front desk and I was able to access the wireless the next day. The gym facilities very nice, good equipment that also has free weights and balancing balls, clean gym. I have stayed twice at this hotel and I would stay again.”

• Close to park to walk dog, and clean rooms.
• Parking is tough, and not being truthful about pets.

“All we got back was pets are welcome! So when we checked in, then we were hit with a $20 extra charge for the pet. And we were told that we had to be put in a different area, (away from the rest of our family) because of the pet. Wi-Fi is not that great. I was told by staff that if you bring your computer to the lobby, let it hook up, then take it back to your room, it might work OK after that. I did that, and it did work OK. Only thing is you need a good battery and be willing to look strange carrying a laptop up and down the hallways.”

• Smokers (employees and no employees) at the entrance doors taking a drag.

“The room was spacious. Mattresses were comfortable. Wireless internet was convenient. The balcony was overly spacious would have easily fit 20-25 guest if I had time for a party. The decor was clean and tasteful. The fireplace in the lobby was cozy.”

• I would like to receive a newspaper at my door in the morning.

“I have stayed at this hotel on a few different occasions and have never had a problem. This time there was a 'bulldog convention' going on. We were told that there were between 300-500 dogs staying at the hotel. The common areas had a terrible 'dog' smell, much like the smell at a veterinarian office. It was terrible and pervasive. If I had known about his 'convention' I would have chosen another hotel. I am also curious to know how they will ever get rid of the smell in the hallways, as well as in the rooms themselves.”

• Comfortable beds, good climate control, quiet.
• Lousy Wi-Fi, disorganization and slow service in restaurant. Parking was ridiculous. We had to park across the street while almost all valet spots.

“Very comfortable rooms. Housekeeping was excellent. Service in restaurant was slow and disorganized. We had to hurry to check out of our room on time. I was surprised that a modern hotel could have such lousy Wi-Fi set up. My home Wi-Fi runs 10 times as fast as the hotels. I would say that isn't much of a convenience Lastly, parking was very limited. We had to park across the street while almost all of the valet spots sat empty.”

• The location was great, the room was very nice, and hotel was convenient to all local attractions.
• Restaurant service was extremely slow, lobby was a little dated and useless, vending machines were all empty.

“I liked this hotel very much in general. The front desk staff was very nice. The hotel is in a great location close to the waterfront park and local attractions. The restaurant was empty when I was there but it still took 20 minutes before I was served anything other than water and my order was taken. The convenient parking made it easy to get into my room with no difficulties. Being located next to the corporate office for red lion hotels, this is probably considered their flagship hotel. I would stay here again if the opportunity arose.”

• Gym was a bit small and not too much equipment.

“Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Lot's of leisurely activities. In the middle of city but you feel like you're in a private resort, right on the riverside. Perfect for business traveling, leisure traveling or a quick getaway.”

• 2 nice swimming pools, great location and nice open spaces.
• No covered or designated smoking areas and parking was a problem.

“All of the windows and glass on the elevator were very dirty and there was about an inch of crusty mold on the window sills in the lounge. They seriously need a good window and frame washing crew to do the job right!!! There was not enough front desk staff on duty during the peak check-in time around 3 p.m. To about 5 p.m. Also same problem in the morning at the cafe. Other than that the stay was enjoyable. They could be a 4 star easily if they would address those problems.”

• The view was great from the room.
• The hotel is in need of some updating.

“The hotel was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The only negative would be to be a bit more on top of replacing things. I.e. The shower curtain. For us the stay was very pleasant and it was a nice get-a-away for us.”
