“see above. AND, the hotel was extremely overpriced. We paid $100.00 for a dirty room! (yes, actual dirt and leaves on the tile floor!) The room smelled like stinky feet. We had to buy candles and keep them lit the entire time we were in our room to combat the stink.”

• Dirty & old.

“The room smelled and was dirty. The place was loud and it was difficult to sleep. There was no Wi-Fi, and the only internet access was a jack 5 feet off the floor, next to the room door with no desk. If you want a real cheap economy hotel with zero frills, this is the place for you.”

• The hotel was clean and had a coffee maker.
• In the back of the hotel, construction trucks were taking up several parking spaces, laundry room was
  open.

“It was very clean and close to the beach. My room was in the back of the hotel, there were cement and construction trucks taking up parking spaces (not very attractive to look at either). The laundry room was open and sheets and bedding were spilling out in the parking lot.”

• Other people were here almost filled up.

• Musty smell in room.

“When we got to our room, there was a strong cleaning solution smell in the room. We requested a different room, which was granted. The second room was better. The beds were somewhat hard. The desk staff was helpful.”

• It is extremely conveniently located to the freeway, golf, the mission and fine dining.
• I had a problem communicating in English with the maid service. But they were very friendly and polite never the less.

“The lobby staff was very friendly and polite. It is a very clean hotel. Did not see any broken/defective items any where on the grounds. (Usually, one sees at least a door or two that needs repair or an unpainted wall.) Everything was very well maintained.”

• It was ideally located for our vacation to south orange county, ca: near the highway and golf courses, good restaurants and clubs and the mission.
• It was tough getting out onto Ortega highway if you wanted to head east.

“It offered a pleasant hideaway-type atmosphere in the midst of a busy area. It was very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It was a great jumping off point for the many things we had planned for our stay.”

“For the price, it was a great and we would recommend this hotel to others. The location was exactly what we needed. We had a baby and even though the hotel was full no one said they heard a peep from him.”

• Great location nearby beaches and conveniently located close to the I5 freeway.
• The room they gave me looked as though it was having repair work done. So, there was a slight mess and the portable closet was out of place.

“If the room had been "ready" it would have received a better rating from me. However, when I mentioned this problem upon checkout, the front desk person offered to comp my meal at Dennis, but we had already eaten breakfast. This was a nice jester to make up for the room not being ready.”

• Beautiful surroundings with lots of trees and birds.
• Walls to thin, not private could hear the people in the next room!

“This hotel-motel was convenient to the highways for travelers. It had a nice heated pool with beautiful flowers and trees. It was not very private, however, and we could hear the people in the next room. I don't think it should have been that expensive.”

• They gave us a discount coupon for breakfast at the Denny's next door. It didn't cover any breakfast price but was a $2.99 discount.
• I didn't get a king size bed as I asked in a personal call to the hotel. I also had to have someone come in and clean around the bed. It was filthy.

“It was difficult to access as it sat behind a gas station at a busy intersection. I found balls of someone's hair in the hall outside our door. The "patio" had a huge block wall surrounding it so it made us feel closed in. The shower was nice. The maid dropped my shampoo which was in a plastic bottle and when we got back to the room, the sink top was covered in my expensive shampoo. What a mess. ”

• Recently remodel.
• location, I did a search for Laguna/Dana Point and Capistrano East of I5 is neither. It is a scam and a lie.

• Convenient location near highway, yet quiet. Pretty exterior.
• Parking spaces were all taken.

“This hotel was full to capacity the evening we stayed and parking was tough. I ended up parking in the front of one unit. The room was clean, had a coffee maker, ironing board, hair dryer. A nice bonus was the ability to open slider to balcony and still feel safe. Nice southwest exterior.”

• VERY CLEAN!!!!!!!!
• Lighting inside room was poor, not bright enough to read comfortably.

“Very clean, seems newly remodeled. Lots of amenities, such as coffee maker, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, mini-fridge. No continental breakfast as I have come to expect. Very close to the freeway and shopping but quiet too. VERY CLEAN!”

• The room was nice and clean, location was convenient.
• Staff was not as professional as they should be. Found the hotel lobby locked, twice in early evening.

• Quiet despite being near interstate.
• Had to cross heavily travelled 3 lanes of traffic to exit hotel to head toward town or coast.
