• Clean, quiet, and friendly staff.
• The location was less than desirable for a view. One side of the hotel and the pool area overlook 8 lanes of freeway.

“The facility was well kept and clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The room was quiet and our needs were met for one night. It would be good for a business stay and had computer hookups. We probably wouldn't want to stay another night, not very scenic.”

• Business center use was free and very helpful in the middle of my travel.
• Elevator is on its last legs.

“For the family or vacation traveler the pool, spa and patio area make this stop a nice break from the road. Comfortable, easy access and nice. For the business traveler, the free use of the business center computers and printers made my travel more productive. The best thing about the hotel and the thing that has me return to any hotel is the service. The staff here is excellent catering to your needs.”

• The views of the freeway wasn't that romantic.

• They had hot chocolate chip cookies and apples for us upon our arrival.
• The sign light shown in our room all night but the black out curtains took care of that.

• Reservation fair, need more smoking rooms.

• Close to the company I was working with.
• Noisy, stale cigarette smoke everywhere, beam shining into our room.

“Absolutely terrible! The room was cozy, but the bathroom was not clean just wiped out from the previous guest! At night they had high powered beacons that are on 24 hours a day and night shining up the walls of the hotel which would shine in your room. The windows were not built to keep noise out and the hotel is located where two huge freeways converge! They do however; provide you with eye shades and ear plugs! Lastly, we had a non smoking room however the floor was split, 1/2 smoking, 1/2 non smoking. As you stepped off the elevator a wall of stale cigarette smoke accosted you!”

• Well kept hotel and very helpful staff.
• Rooms on highway side were overly noisy. Very limited number of rooms with double beds.

“Overall we were very pleased with this hotel. Nice area, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Would request a room on front side of the hotel next time to avoid the hassle of trying to switch rooms due to traffic noise from the highway.”

• Loud freeway noise through windows.

“If I had not specifically asked I would have been given a room with double size beds which are too short for me to sleep comfortably. I did not know hotels used this size anymore. The king size bed was not Cal. King. Because it was shorter than I am used to. Hotels seem to give you the lower end room when you use a discount service to book the room.”

• I like the breakfast buffet.

“I like the fact that the hotel is a short drive to the fairly. It is very convenient for me to stay there when I am on business working at the fairgrounds. The hotel is clean and provides good service and offers a nice breakfast buffet. However, this last business trip I had at the fairgrounds, I could not get into the holiday inn select.”

• The pool.
• Noisy location next to busy freeway.

“This hotel is clean and well maintained. Nice rooms. Staff is attentive to requests. Nice pool. Hotel is next to a very busy, noisy freeway. Hotel rooms are quiet, but when you open windows the noise from passing trucks is quite loud. Good for business travelers.”

• The employees were very friendly and helpful.
• The $8.95 breakfast is free at most hotels & considered a continental breakfast.

“It was pleasant except for the breakfast. Very overpriced and not worth it. Next time I will just skip the breakfast and walk down the street to the donut shop.”

• Plenty of parking and great access to the pool, it was hot.
• The restaurant had limited hours, late check in, no ice on floor.

• They put us in the noisy room the freeway traffic was bad.

“The hotel was fine I just think they put us in the worst room available. You could hear the freeway traffic all night. They wouldn't move us across the hall.”

• Elegant and up to date.
• Halls were extremely hot and room was not real cool.

“Very elegant and classy room. Probably the cleanest I have ever been in. However, upon check in our TV did not work for a couple of hours. Also, the hallways were extremely hot to the point you couldn't hardly stand to go out. The air condition in our room worked but never did cool the room down to what we would have liked.”

• The pool was very nice, the property clean and attractive, the room comfortable.
• The pillows were awful (giant and flabby), and the breakfast was not a good value or very tasty.

“This was a nice, comfortable hotel, and was very adequate for our needs. The pool was sparkling clean and very refreshing. The bathrobe in the room was a nice touch, and for the small price we paid it was certainly a great value.”

• Great full course dinner at the restaurant. Comfortable bed.
• Room was a little cramped.

“Great city, nice hotel, nice pool area, though lots of freeway noise by the pool as it is adjacent to freeway down below. Rooms are very clean, although narrow. Restaurant reasonable for the amount of food.”

• The location was convenient to my travel.
• Sink was clogged, leak under the sink, and the restrooms had a urine odor.

“I had to be placed in 3 different rooms which made me late to my event. The first two had clogged drains and a leak under the sink so the carpet was damp. The bathrooms also had a urine odor. They only had 2 elevators and one was not working. It took a long time to wait for the one working. I will not be returning to this hotel.”

• Location was great for what we needed. Close to everything we were trying to see.
• Confirmed a room with double beds. I verified that we were assigned a double room but found it to be a king room when I opened the door.

• Hotel was clean. Only one of the two elevators worked.
• With only one elevator working, there was a delay in being able to leave the floor.

“Hotel was clean. Business center printer did not work, so I had to go back into the hotel offices to print my boarding pass. Door to my room was loose and shook. Air conditioner was loud. At times could hear the freeway traffic in my room”

• Poor service, elevator disabled, response time of complaints very poor.

“Overall the room was satisfactory, but hotel response by employees and front desk very poor. One elevator was done and took up to 20 minutes to get to our room with other access via stairs was locked even after notification to staff. Would not stay there again.”

“Overall the room was nice. I had issues with their wireless internet and their firewall (which the desk admitted was just installed) not allowing documents to be received by my email. Front desk told me there was nothing they could do about it and manager was no where to be found. Had to finally leave the hotel and find a wireless hotspot to conduct business.”

• I had two full beds instead of one larger bed, the sink and bathroom area was small.

• Rooms and lobby were very clean. Parking was good. Close to businesses.
• Noisy. Lots of freeway traffic. Television would go off at random. Adjoining guests were noisy.

“The hotel itself is nice and clean. Parking is adequate and close to entrance. Freeway noise could be bothersome to some people. The television would go off at random which was a real bother. Noise from the adjoining rooms is easy to hear and distractive. They did have an tam machine in the lobby which was very convenient. I probably would not stay at this hotel again.”

• The bed was comfortable.
• The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, too close to the freeway.

“For a non-smoking room it was the worst I¿ve ever stayed in. They must have just hung the non-smoking sign the day before we arrived. The smell of cigarettes was everywhere. The road noise from the freeway was like a window was open. No trash can in the bathroom, no fan, the condensation from the shower left everything wet and humid for hours. Worst room we've had, not up to standard for 3 star hotels. They need to know if you change smoking to non-smoking, you have to at least change the bedding and drapes, carpet, and paint. I don't recommend this hotel for non-smokers.”

• The hotel bed was very comfortable and neat.
• The curtains were falling off of the hooks and there was not enough light in the room.

“The holiday inn select diamond bar was a nice hotel that met my expectations for one night. I prefer the Hilton or Marriott for multiple night stays. But the hotel was generally a 3-star hotel. The front desk staff was neither friendly nor unfriendly. The hotel amenities were fine.”
