• Clean and neat and
  we had a beautiful view and
  staff was very nice and helpful.
• Not enough electric outlets in the room, we have laptops and cell phones so we had to unplug lamps.

• When we informed the hotel that we didn't not realize there would be a charge for parking they quickly provided us with free parking.

“Of all the places that I have stayed, the Irvine Hyatt has by far been the best. The customer service was fantastic and the hotel exceeded my expectations.”

• Cleanliness, friendly, welcoming, relaxing. Absolute perfection.
• Maybe the parking. With functions in the ballrooms maybe parking could be designated for Hotel guests only.

“The hotel was beautiful. Our room was more than spacious for the two of us. Even with a roll-away we had plenty of room. The entire staff was so friendly and accomodating. We thoroughtly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely come back and will recommend to others to stay at this hotel.Thank you for a wonderful trip.”

• I was attending a wedding in Huntington Beach and the location was close to the airport.
• Parking fees and parking availability. I walked to at least 2 blocks from car to hotel after paying $15.00 a day to park there. I was angry about that.

“Hyatt hotel was nice for my husband and I. We like the room but not the parking situation. Events were planned for outside guests not staying at the hotel, i.e., weddings and such. We had to hunt for a parking spot at least 2 blocks away from hotel. No parking any night and we walked to our car after paying $15.00 a night for 3 days. I felt parking should be more accessible to hotel guests.”

• I liked that the beach was less than 20 minutes away. Good gym.
• Parking fee, local phone call fee, smell of room, small rooms.

“This hotel 4 star rating is absurd! I stayed at a 3 star in Anderson, CA that was better in every category. This hotel will nickel and dime you for everything. Self parking $15. Local phone calls $2.95. Drinks at hotel restaurant $10. Will never stay at another Hyatt again.”

• nice linens, soft towels, decent shower head
• only 2 sugars and 2 creamers for coffee, not enough for one cup let alone my whole stay

“This would have been just about perfect if there hadn't been a cheerleader summer camp going on in the hotel. Dining was pricey and fancy but the food was excellent unlike some other "arty" places, and there was a coffee shop in the lobby which was convenient.”

• Quiet room, great staff and excellent location
• Cafe did not have enough staff duing peak times

“From the moment you arrive at the Hyatt you will be pleased with the friendly bellmen taking you to a lovely room with comfortable beds and feather pillows. Enjoy the 6 pix bar with Don the bartender who will make you a special drink or offer up a good wine. The staff at this hotel make it my pick over Marriott.”

• Nothing. Great hotel

“I spent the first hour at this hotel, trying to figure out why it only received 3.5 stars. The beds, sheets, and amenities were wonderful. Our room overlooked the bay, and we even watched the Sea World fireworks from our porch. The restaurant was excellent with wonderful views. The pool was large with comfortable sitting cabanas. They even showed a movie at night for the kids (pool side near a fireplace). Great experience. Great hotel.”

• Horrible odor (urine). Room looked worn and weary.

“Very nice hotel. However the pool is small with not much to do other then swim. There was a group of teens there who took over the pool area! There were alot because of the Jewish convention happening there. They made doing everything difficult because they were everywhere!”

• Restaurant was good, bar was great with great waitress.
• The valet scratched my car.

“The hotel was nice, the corner king room is horrible! The front desk said it was a larger room but it had a very awkward layout. Valet scratched my car and when I pointed it out they walked away with the parking ticket and came back with it a few minutes later with it marked damaged and claimed that my car was already damaged. The waitress in the bar was wonderful.”

• The concierge was fabulous. Called her brother, a dentist, to get an orthodontist recommendation for our daughter. Personnel were
  very attentive.
• Noisy public rooms.

“Expensive internet and parking. Smallest bathroom I used at a four-star hotel. The staff is very, very attentive and pleasant. Possible to pick up rental car at hotel and leave it there too. Very convenient.”

• Excellent, friendly service by everyone relaxing.
• Only thing I can think of is that the bath towels could be larger for fat people.

“Every staff member was friendly, professional and went out of their way to do anything extra for you. Room was huge. Food was upscale and very fresh. As a single grandmother with a 6 month old, they loaded my car, opened doors, folded the stroller, offered directions, brought a spoon to my room to feed baby. They were GREAT.”

• There is nothing to like, it was awful.
• The hotel room was filthy beyond belief.

“It was filthy and dirty. The room had taco bell wrappers. Coke bottles, hair, dust mites all underneath the bed. The walls were spattered with grease. Pictures on the wall not cleaned in decades. Ripped carpet, filthy bathroom, hair on floor and towels. Table full of dirt and grease from hands. Moved room. Second room still bad and non-smoking, yet smell of cigarettes. Burn marks on furniture. Moved to a 3rd room. Still dirty and unsanitary.”

• Bbeds were great, and layout of the facility was very good.
• Not impressed with internet access.

“Wonderful location, great facility in terms of beauty, aesthetics and layout. Conference hall tended to be on the chilly side. Table staff seemed to be shorthanded due to the crowd. Bed was wonderful! Room very comfortable. Thank you for having a beautiful facility to call home for the night.”

• The beds were way too firm, the pillows way too soft.

“This hotel was clean, safe, conveniently located, and friendly staff. But it is more for business travelers and dings you for everything: self-parking, internet with cable, crazy room service pricing, high priced movies. None of that is unusual but a regular person isn't writing this stuff off! The beds were too firm and the pillows too soft. The heater kept popping off and on because the thermostat is right by the window and I couldn't get it to change temp as though they have it locked.”
