• Comfortable bed. Nice toiletries. Good coffee in room.
• Room not very clean- mold and hair. Parking was far from entrance.

“Nice hotel, friendly staff. Rooms need some cosmetic work- grout, fixtures. Also not very clean- mold in shower, hair in sink from previous guest or housekeeper. Bed was very comfortable.”

“We took the kids for one night stay to get out of the house and play in the pool. Including taxes and parking. The staff was very helpful and provided us with a roll away bed and mini fridge (no charge for this by the way) as well as a pool key to use the pool after check out.”

“Just about everything about this hotel was as expected for a 4 star hotel and we enjoyed ourselves, until we tried to sleep for the night. A couple, apparently with a noisy toddler and a crying baby kept us up most of the night. I would have expected the hotel to give them a room that was isolated from other guests to reduce their noise impact.”

“For a quick one night stay in the area, the Hyatt was a clean enjoyable stay. Friendly service in the lounge. Also very helpful in finding transportation to local attractions.”

• Overall good hotel, it met my expectations.
• The parking was over priced and not close to the hotel.

“The staff was friendly, unfortunately they gave us a room with two separate beds because they were overbooked and we arrived at 6 pm but it was nice. We didn't experience much of the amenities such as the pool or gym but from what we saw it looked amazing.”

• It seems hotel staff is very picky.

“I had three rooms for two nights for our visit to Disney Land. When we came back on the second night (after a very hectic day) all our room keys were cancelled and couldn't open the rooms. When we inquire about it, they didn't have any explanation and tried to give different answers. One answer was that the information on the magnetic strip of the keys tend to erase when they keep in your pockets. I never expected such a poor treatment from a place like Hyatt.”

• It was easy to find very good quality it felt like a 4 star hotel.
• The food was wanting, the quantity did not receive adequate amount for the price.

“When we arrived we expected the room to appear fresh and clean. It appeared clean but it also appeared that someone had already used it, with used soap in the bathroom and someone's shoes under the bed. This made us suspect the cleaning staff was amiss or the hotel was short staffed, it wasn't a comfortable feeling. But the hotel staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and made appropriate adjustments.”

“We were really disappointed that this was a 4 star hotel. We have stayed at 3 star hotels and felt that they were nicer than this was. I am not sure what we expected in one more star but we didn't find it there.”

• Nice area, proximity to Orange County Airport, proximity to area attractions.
• Bathroom was too small. Parking was too troublesome and costly.

“Good overall hotel to stay at, whether for business or leisure. Only 1 exit away from SNA airport, with free hotel shuttle service. Close to Newport, Laguna, Disney and even San Diego. Lots of places to shop for essentials or for fun. Feels like a resort with the nice pool, tennis court, basketball court, etc. Main complaint: Bathroom way was too small! Only room for 1-2 people in there at once. Very difficult for families to give kids a bath/shower. Also, parking inconvenient and costs $12-$16. Would love to stay again, but may reconsider due to the above listed complaints.”

• The staff was very good.
• The beds were not pillow top like I would expect for a 4-star hotel.

“I have stayed in other 4-star hotels and even some 3-star, they had pillow top beds that were very comfortable to sleep in. This hotel did not have that. The exercise facilities were exceptional. They had everything a full, private gym has, it was excellent. I just with the beds in the rooms were more comfortable.”

• Bathrooms are very small and crowded. Pool is boring, but ok.

“This is a great hotel for business travel, less for kids. Very little in the way of casual dining, but there is a nice bar. Very convenient to the 405 freeway, very clean and well maintained. Its not quite deluxe, but its like a 3.5 out of 4.”

• The pool is clean, and good size.
• The housekeeping staff missed cleaning the bathroom in the first night. The access card (room key) doesn't work all the times.

• Road noise at the pool. No pool service and big cracks around the door.

“Staff was great. We had room for a roll a way for our 4 year old grand daughter and did just fine. The location was great. We went to New Port Beach, Huntington Beach, Corona Del Mar Beach (all new) and 3 great shopping centers. We had a great time. Don't miss the Irvine Spectrum Shopping and entertainment Center.”

• The newly decorated rooms and size.
• Only had full beds which is bad for 3 or more guests and families. Very disappointed coming from a Hyatt 4 star. Also, Jacuzzi was too small.

“I think this Hyatt is nice but would rate it only 3.5 stars in comparison to other Hyatt's I have had the blessing of staying at before.”

• Small bathroom. Parking was $13.

“Great location. Few mins from Airport and right off freeway! the hotel was huge! Very roomy and not crowded feeling. The views were amazing as was the glass elevators! Came for a wedding that was here also. So beautiful!”

• Was charged for mini bar snacks that we didn't have! Also, can you make the cocktails a little less expensive out by the pool?.

“Wonderful hotel with beautiful grounds and guest rooms. The pool areas are terrific. The location of the hotel is perfect. You can park your car. Walk everywhere for meals and entertainment.”

“The manager at the Hyatt Irvine said she'd compensate us with points on their gold passport for a free room and tax at any Hyatt, but it's actually only good at one other Hyatt in California that's up north so we were not compensated as far as I'm concerned. I feel like the manager figures the jokes on me. We paid for parking when the parking was not monitored so I'm sure people were parking for free. The hotel furniture was worn and dingy.”

• Excessive charge for parking car.

“Great business hotel to stay at. Charging for Internet this day and age is really not acceptable. And parking charge fee is quite high given the area has pleothora or parking available. They are using it as profit center. That being said rooms were clean, quiet, and the fitness center was very comfortable, well maintained and sufficiently sized, not luxurious, but very effective.”

• Power was off in entire hotel complex first day of my stay, but staff managed to provide great service anyway and take care of several major banquets.
• Parking lot is high priced to be so long a walk to hotel lobby especially at night when hotel has event or is full.

“I've stayed at this Hyatt before, and it is a lovely hotel. Rooms are somewhat small but are quite comfortable and clean. One is able to open a window a bit for fresh air, which is a personal preference. Service is very good, but room service is predictably expensive for limited choices. However, I would definitely stay there again.”

• Standard business hotel but newer and has a great fitness center!
• Within walking distance of very few places to eat.

“The Hyatt exceeded my expectations for a business hotel. After staying at the Hilton in the same vicinity, it's clear that the Hyatt's standards are just a little bit of a cut above. Everything was crisp, well-maintained - there was no "old hotel smell" throughout the facility. The fitness center was state-of-the-art, but getting a spot on one of the machines before 7 a.m. was challenging! It also has a heated pool. There seemed to be a lot of meetings happening in the hotel while we were there, and from what I could see, the ballrooms were very nice - not as "hotel standard" as others because it looked more modern and the chandeliers were gorgeous!”

“This is a comfortable, friendly, & clean place to stay. It is within 15 miles from Disneyland. We stayed 3 nights. Overall, it was a good stay. The hotel was very nice, as were our rooms. We requested 3 rooms, one on the third floor and two on the second floor. Be warned, they charge for things like parking and many things in the business center. My only complaint was the housekeeping. On our 2nd day, we left our room at 8 am and returned at 4:30 pm. Our room had not been cleaned. We had to call and request someone come clean our room. Once housekeeping arrived, we left our room. We returned to our room 20 minutes later to find the room wasn't fully cleaned. They made the bed, provided new towels and emptied the trash can, but didn't appear to clean much else. The carpet hadn't been cleaned nor had any counters or tables been cleaned. The business center internet is $7.50 for the 1st 15 minutes and (I think) $.50 a minute thereafter. They charge $1 per printed page. They also charge for in-room internet, even though many other places provide this for free. We chose room service for our entire stay. They were great as was the food. They also have a great cafe that serves Starbucks coffee as well as many snacks and pre-packaged sandwiches. It wasn't as quiet as I would have expected. From our room on the third floor, we could hear people talking in the parking lot below, even though our windows were closed. We could also hear everyone that walked by in the hall. It was a minor annoyance. While we were there, there was some kind of party that was held in the open space right off the lobby. There were many drunken people there making a lot of noise, breaking their glasses and tripping all over. There was a man laying on the ground right outside the lobby door in front of the valet. Not sure why these folks weren't in one of the many large conference rooms.”

“This is an adequate hotel but not one of Hyatt's best and certainly disappointing given the area in which it is located. The front desk staff was pleasant but perfunctory. For my money, there are far better 3 star hotels in the area.”
