  • It was very nice and clean. Parking was free.
  • Pool was a little cool and hot tube was not hot enough.

  • Internet service is HORRIBLE.

“I had a bad internet connection on my laptop, I use wireless connection everywhere I go, and at that hotel I was getting disconnected every minute..YES every minute, I called the front desk to ask them why, and they said that is because their internet provider automatically disconnect any other internet connection that is NOT the hotel's. I said OK so how do I use the hotel internet connection, to what they responded, Oh you have to pay 16.00 a day for our internet service. My business is based on the internet so I got frustrated, but I couldn't do anything about it, I was there already and my staying was paid for.”

  • Paying for parking when you are staying at the hotel- that is an extra expense that was a huge surprise.

  • No refrigerator and had to pay for parking.

“This was a beautiful hotel and very close to my destination. Everyone was very friendly. There was a lively group having drinks in the lobby that made the place seem like a lot of fun. The room was great and the bed reminded me of my Italian vacation, fabulous.”

  • Location.
  • Rooms were very small. Bathrooms very small.
    Pool looked like it needed to be updated.

“We own two Marriott Timeshares and usually stay Marriott when we travel, because we know we will have a quality vacation. This Marriott was subpar. Very disappointed at room/bathroom size, overall general maintenance of property was poor, especially around pool area. Would not stay there again. This property needs a total renovation.”

  • Able to get a king bed. Awesome.
  • Someone knocking on the door which awakened me at 9 pm I know it was not housekeeping!

  • Overall, a nice hotel.
  • Vending machine and ice machines didn't work on five floors that I checked. One did work.

“TV stations were lacking, no fridge or microwave. No ice or working vending machines except on the concierge floor. Very inconvenient. Parking was a little higher that others and for outdoor parking.”

“The hotel was lovely. It was far above what I have experienced in a chain hotel in a major metropolitan area.
One small detail ( I used to be a secret shopper and was in retail management for 30 years so I tend to nit pick). The bathroom vanity faces were dirty. Yuck! ( toothpaste) I honestly cannot think of any other single thing this room lacked. ( except fresh flowers and chocolates.) The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating even with the house full of kids. Next trip to LA I will
stay at this wonderful facility.”

  • Bed was comfy and menu selection was great!
  • No fridge/minibar, robes. Decor was not 4 stars.

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We thought, however, that the decor for the hotel was not very 4 star like. The hallways where the rooms are look like a Crown Plaza Hotel or something very 2-3 star. The area where the pool is not very visually beautiful either. Right when you walk in it looks like a nice hotel, but as you get into the hotel, it’s not so nice. The food was great (although do not get the BBQ Chicken Pizza) and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms do not come with a fridge or minibar but can be requested (there is though, a spot where a fridge should go which is odd), they also do not come standard with robes but that can also be requested. Good hotel overall, not very romantic but great for families and business folks! Lots of conferences happening here.”

  • Clean. Staff was courteous and professional.
  • Parking fees, refrigerator fees, porn makes this a non-family friendly hotel.

“Hotel is beautiful. But the rooms aren't very big for a four star hotel. There is a balcony in most of them though. Parking is roughly 16 dollars a day. Refrigerators, microwaves are also an extra expense if you want them - I was expecting them to be in the hotel since it was "four stars".”

  • Close to airport, excellent beds, sheets, pillows, comforters sheer heaven. TV was good. Breakfast was great. Convenient highway access.
  • Problems with telephone; button labeled "Push here for all service" did not work. Kids took bath, drain plug marginal. Internet too expensive.

  • That it is central to the Beach Area/Costa Mesa/Irvine area.
  • The aloofness of staff - they are unengaged to the individuals that they serve and the annoying parking accommodations.

“At first our trip resulted in us parking in the lot of the wrong hotel, the Irvine Airport Hilton. We were treated excellently by the staff even as we realized we entered the wrong hotel. Sad, but true - it had been a long day. Upon entering the Marriott, we realized we would have had a more fun and sophisticated time at the Hilton - the staff is so checked out. No one explains policies or hotel accommodations. The parking is not efficient in unloading baggage (no lit pathways). The room was small but efficient - the only issue with it physically was with the peeling tub and shower.”

  • Did not like having to pay to park.

“It was decent, I stayed in a doubletree in the same area and it was much nicer, yet it did not have the amenities the Marriott had. Personally I would only rate this hotel a 3 star. The rooms seemed old, our sink didn't work. I did not like having to pay to park, $16 a day. Should be free if you are a guest. It was in a good location though. I don't think I would stay there again, If I were to go to the area again I would stay in the Newport Hyatt.”

“The hotel itself was awesome. The room was even better. The only negative was there was limited parking due to a scheduled "car show" taking up the parking lot. And also a dance club for kids under 21 the next night in the hotel's ballroom.”

“Staff were all courteous and friendly and helpful. I cannot fault hotel for theft by one employee of a camera cell phone from travel bag that was only our of my sight for short time. I could not identify an individual. Why are the elevator controls only on left side of elevators when 84% of us are right handed? Exhaust fans in bathrooms worthless. Need nonsolid mats in tubs.   • I paid too much, all the restaurants were closed due to the weekend.

  • The beds are wonderful! Room decor is tasteful.
  • The elevator on the 7th floor was broken and banged all night!

“The hotel was great! Very clean, family friendly yet business orientated as well. They need to fix the elevator on the 7th floor though! It was broken and the doors were banging together in the middle of the night! Very loud and hard to sleep! Beds are wonderful and rooms were spacious.”

  • Not enough parking spaces, people were parked in red zones.

“Great location, comfy beds, love having a Starbuck's in the lobby. The only problem was the parking lot was full and it seemed the valet parking was full. Also, the wine was way overpriced. A bottle of California Chardonnay that runs around $20 something a bottle was $75. You expect to pay more at the hotel bar, but that was overdone.”

“The Irvine Marriott is a perfect hotel for the business traveler. Everything necessary to stay in touch is provided in a comfortable atmosphere - especially the in-house Kinko's and Starbucks. Rooms were quiet despite the conferences going on and the close proximity to the airport. A very secure place for the solo female traveler, with world-class shopping at South Coast Plaza just minutes away!”
