- I paid too much, all the restaurants were closed due to the weekend.

- Kind of ugly. The restaurant was mediocre at best.

- The beds are wonderful! Room decor is tasteful.
- The elevator on the 7th floor was broken and banged all night!

- Not enough parking spaces, people were parked in red zones.
“Great location, comfy beds, love having a Starbuck's in the lobby. The only problem was the parking lot was full and it seemed the valet parking was full. Also, the wine was way overpriced. A bottle of California Chardonnay that runs around $20 something a bottle was $75. You expect to pay more at the hotel bar, but that was overdone.”

“The Irvine Marriott is a perfect hotel for the business traveler. Everything necessary to stay in touch is provided in a comfortable atmosphere - especially the in-house Kinko's and Starbucks. Rooms were quiet despite the conferences going on and the close proximity to the airport. A very secure place for the solo female traveler, with world-class shopping at South Coast Plaza just minutes away!”

- Room not to par (small, cramped & dirty). Valet/Parking was abysmal! Expensive with horrible service!
“The room was below par and certainly not to 4 stars standards. The bedspread and sheets were stained, bathroom dirty and I had the displeasure of finding a number of "gummy candies" under and around my bed! The parking was terrible. When I pulled in at around 1 am there was a line up of about 6 cars that had just been left standing for valet. After weaving through I waited for an extended period of time and saw no one. I finally pulled into the "self park" lot only to exit again when I found there was nothing remotely close to the lobby and did not want to drag my bags around. When I returned to the valet I again had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. I finally unloaded my car and stood around at the Vale Kiosk. When the valet guy finally returned and took my car he was less than apologetic saying that they were under staffed and he was the only one there. The check in was smooth and the receptionist nice. When I explained my disappointment with he valet she apologized and credited by account for the valet for the night. Which was nice, but also appropriate based on the service. Unless I had a conference or something in the immediate area I would not stay at this location again.”

- It was clean and the bath & body products were nice. Bed was awesome!
- Definitely not a 4-star hotel. A dance company took over the hotel, so there wasn't much left (pillows, blankets, etc.) for the rest of us.
“It was clean and in a safe area. But I wouldn't make a point to stay here again. I was supposed to get two queen size beds. Ended up with one king. A dance company was there so they took up all the accommodations.”

- The bed was very comfortable and double-sheeted. Nice.
- Everything else was very poor, could hardly turn around in the room or bathroom, no amenities, terrible service, no good food.
“If you are a business traveler simply looking for a good night's sleep this is your place. If you are looking for a nice getaway with your spouse this is not the place. No amenities, the restaurants aren't even open. Sometimes, no spa on site, very small rooms, can hardly open the bathroom door without hitting the toilet! No luxury, very little to offer and poorly staffed (apart from the excellent valet service).”

- The windows did not have appropriate coverings so spotlights facing the hotel shine right into the room.

- I liked the star bucks in the lounge and the fitness room.
- The staff made several mistakes regarding our room. They booked someone into our room while we were there. They didn't have the charges correct.
“The hotel is adequate but does not meet the usual standard of Marriott hotels. The area around the hotel is dismal. You must drive for a long time to find anything other than office buildings.”

- The room had been redone and was very nicely decorated and most comfortable.
- This was our second weekend stay and they have had mini conventions both times so that parking and elevators were a pain.

- Parking, at $14 / day with self parking. That is not right.
“I was going to valet my car, but after watching the valet staff recklessly driving other cars made me angry. I have stayed at many nice hotels and the entire valet staff (both day shift and night shift) were inconsiderate of the cars they were driving. Speeding, hard braking, and reckless driving around the parking lot caused me to self-park my car (which I dislike while staying at a hotel). Furthermore, at $14 / day to self park, in a parking lot that was uncovered, to is extortion! Because of the unreasonable cost of parking and the reckless valet staff, I will never visit this hotel again.”

- $14 parking charge.
“This hotel had the perfect balance of kid-friendliness and adult sophistication. First and foremost, the beds, pillows and down comforter were fit for a king. I don't think I've ever slept so comfortably and peacefully. I loved the Bath & Body Works amenities and LA Times at my door, even on Sunday. We appreciated the affordable children's price for the excellent breakfast buffet, with drinks included. Exercise room was clean and well-stocked with towels, ice water and anti-bacterial wipes. Pool was indoor/outdoor for year-round enjoyment. Spa was huge. It was great having a Starbucks kiosk in the lobby. Staff was so accommodating from start to finish - we especially appreciated the offer for 2 p.m. checkout.”

“One of the nicer Marriott properties I have stayed in. This hotel is located in the business district of Irvine. There is a charge for parking. The room was quite and cleans the water hot and plentiful. The decor could be in any Marriott, nothing to write home about. It serves its purpose, a good place to sleep and fairly convenient location.”

“This hotel is over-rated. The lobby was very crowded and cluttered. The sink was clogged. The bed was too soft. Noise could be heard from other rooms. The one standing lamp did not work. There was only one bedside table, so one person had nowhere to put their nighttime things when in bed. The parking was very expensive. In addition to these problems, there was nothing that stood out from a very generic, routine hotel experience.”

- Luxury bedding.
- Very limited and expensive parking!
“Hotel is nice. However, it took about 20 minutes to find a parking place after returning from dinner due to many events going on a Sat. evening. Also, the charge for this parking was excessive. ”

- The bed & bedding is outstanding! I would recommend to anyone!
- Next to freeway - if you are a light sleeper the noise may bother you.
“This hotel was perfect in every way; since I am not a light sleeper the noise of the freeway did not bother me. The bed & bedding is outstanding, in fact I am looking to purchase a bed like this one at my own home. I did not visit any of the restaurants but I did visit the sports bar. Prices were very high for mixed drinks & beer - only went there once. Very clean rooms, I would definitely stay here again.”
