• The room was clean.
• Everything else.

“This facility is under renovation. Apparently this gives the staff the permission to be substandard in their performance. It is small, parking is inconvenient. I left after an hour and went to La Quinta.”

• Very convenient when flying out of John Wayne Airport. They even let us keep our car there for free!
• The breakfast was pretty average and overpriced, but did in a pinch.

“This is a great hotel to stay at if you are flying out of John Wayne Airport. It's clean, quiet and the staff is very friendly. They provide a shuttle from the hotel to the airport, so it couldn't have been more convenient. In this day of very rarely getting something for nothing, I was very happy to find out that they were going to allow us to keep our car in their garage during our 5 day trip for no charge!”

• Clean, safe, nearby many restaurant choices, good bed.
• A little hard to find your way in from the street.

“Courtyard by Marriott is a fine example of a non-luxury, with everything you really need hotel. The check-in staff was friendly and full of suggestions - even brought directions to a suggested evening spot to my room! We had a view of the pool and the bunny rabbits were perfect for just before Easter, although I'll bet they are there year round. Would definitely recommend highly!”

• Excellent staff and cleanliness.
• Breakfast is expensive.

“This is a fine hotel and is up the to standards of Marriott Courtyards. They should, however, have a breakfast included or not so expensive. The cost of $9.95 is a little steep.”

• New carpeting and furniture and fresh-smelling, non-smoking room
• Discovering after suffering a sudden allergic reaction that the pillows on the bed were down-filled.

“ It is maintained beautifully. The bathroom we had was good-sized, unlike many hotel bathrooms I've experiencedI know that down-filled pillows are supposed to be the mark of fine hotels. But many people besides myself are allergic and asthmatic. I had to suffer a reaction before I discovered that the pillows were down-filled. I had to search the room for the offending object. I then called the desk clerk who said that the hotel has only a FEW foam-filled pillows but he sent a houseman right away to help me. I think the pillow situation should be handled differently in the hotel. They should provide foam-filled ones in the room but have a note on the nightstand offering down-filled ones upon requestt. Or, they should have the down-filled ones on the beds but with a note on the nightstand announcing that foam-filled ones are available upon request, in which case the hotel should have a good supply of the foam-filled ones in storage in case a number of people request them at once.”

• Very friendly staff - very quick efficient check-in
• Hotel restaurant only open for breakfast - in rain difficult to find places to eat

“Except for what I consider inadequate restaurant facilities, it is an excellent hotel, with very easy access off the 1-405 highway. Now that I know where restaurants are nearby, I would definitely stay there again.”

“I am an elderly person and was given a room equal to 2 city blocks walk from the front desk. Additionally the room I was checked into was a mess and had not been made up since the previous occupancy. This is NOT GOOD!”

“There were a lot of little things that were disappointing at the Courtyard Marriot. The room was not cleaned very well. There were no fitted sheets on the bed, just flat sheets. There was no shampoo, conditioner or lotion in the bathroom. There was only enough coffee for one person. We had to constantly call down to housekeeping to have them bring things up to our room. Two positive notes were that they had free internet access and they were very helpful in bringing up the needed amenities to the room.”

“Parking was a little different here with garage. Bed were fantastic with new pillows and more upscale then a regular Courtyard. Internet computer in lobby! Overall very good!”
