• Extremely quiet, convenient, reasonable price and had full cooking facilities.
• No pool.

“Very disappointed.
I needed 2 double beds instead of a queen and they charged $15/day to change it. Rooms come with a kitchen which
I thought was a bonus, but
I was wrong. There is always a horrible odor from people cooking.”

• The price for the area was good.

“One one overworked person at desk. Took forever to get checked in. Room was a long way from lobby. It was a smoking room and reeked. There were ashes on the counter. Internet cost extra and was so slow I thought at first it was broken. Hotel is old and the hallways seem tired and run down.”

• Locations was good around freeways & airport.
• The beds were hard not a good night sleep.

was'nt nice and it had a smell of am not of what. I went downstairs and requested a new room, so they gave use one of the newly remodel room which was much much nicer. Ask for the remodel rooms if you stay there.”

• Feeling of safety and business type of atmosphere and location great and close to orange county airport.
  
• I checked in late that night and there were 3 hotel guests sitting outside in front smoking and laughing and walking throughout the hotel halls.

• The cleanliness and friendly staff.
• We had to pay for services we had expected.

“The hotel is great for business people. Since our destination was at the beach we traveled 4 miles each way to get there in heavy traffic. The hotel was fabulous except for no service and the distance to our destination.”

• Rates were cheap and the room was clean and spacious.
• Difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area.

“The room was clean and had plenty of space for the price. It is meant for long stays, so the common hotel amenities like soaps and shampoos are not provided. Also, housekeeping only services the room in 5 day cycles, so you will have to make your own bed (or not) if your stay is less than 5 days.”

• Standard ESA. Great area, good room, good TV, and quiet.
• Nothing.

“It seems like all ESA hotels I stay at are very much the same and that is a good thing for me. As a solo business traveler on a tight schedule. My ground floor room (my request) was the usual ESA room with kitchenette, firm queen bad, bathroom with the power-flush toilet and the nice easy chair. I had no complaints whatsoever and I would go back there again in a heartbeat, as I would most any ESA. I have come to view them as a little like McDonald's. It may not be the best hamburger (or room) in town, but you know exactly what you are going to get every time, everywhere. I have stayed in many, many ESA hotels.”

• Nice firm bed. Kitchenette.
• Didn't see a restaurant and none within walking distance.

“The hotel was a short drive to Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza and the beach. Not really within walking distance to anything. The kitchenette was nice with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishes and utensils. The non smoking room kind of smelled like cigarettes. Nice for the price.”

“From the attitude I got from the hotel staff when I called to let them know I would be a late arrival, to the various nauseating smells in areas of the hotel (elevator had a different sickly order than the hallway. The room had a totally different smell than the others). Not to mention the black/brown spots on the blanket. Makes me question if they actually get washed, or were they burn marks that are permanently there? Nobody should ever stay at this hotel.”

“Did not had a couch, also put me a smoking room. Thought room included breakfast but no place to eat onsite. They have a curb right in the front of the entrance so you need to carry your bags over the curb. That is odd and could be an issue with handicap people.”

“Don't stay here. When I checked in I asked for a non-smoking room with 2 beds. I was told that because I would get the standard, least desirable room. Not even given the option to pay for upgrade. When I asked for an extra pillow and blanket for my daughter who had to sleep in a chair the front desk girl rolled her eyes. I travel for business a lot and I wouldn't even stay here for business. This isn't even close to the beach! Should be a 1/2 star. Not 2 star.”

“Hotel location is awful. It is at the very far outskirts of Newport Beach and actually should be considered in the city of Irvine. It is in the middle of a Business District far away from any sites of interest. The hotel itself is run down, dirty and smells. Would not recommend it to anyone.”

• Dirty rooms, loud air conditioners, smoking was allowed.

“This hotel was rather bad. The furnishings are all very outdated, most likely from the 1970's. You could tell this by how they looked and smelled. The first night we got there they made us stay in a smoking room which was absolutely disgusting. The room made all our clothes stink like decades of smoking cheap cigarettes. Even the water was coming out in the shower smelled like someone ashes in it. The TV was about 14". After not being able to sleep with the malfunctioning air conditioner and waking up coughing up black tar we begged to be put in a non-smoking room. The staff was nice to help us for the second night, but not the first. The room was just as bad minus the smoking smells. I am sure there were youth hostiles and homeless shelters in the area that were better.”

“This is great for long term business travelers. Not appropriate for our needs. No restaurant, no lobby to speak of, no maid service, no pool, toiletries only on request, only 2 flat pillows in the room and no housekeeping available on Friday night check in.”

“This hotel is a good choice for business travelers looking for inexpensive lodging for brief or extended periods. The room had a kitchenette. They offer both smoking and non-smoking rooms. The front desk attendants were very friendly and responsive. The hotel ambience is rather Spartan but the room was clean and comfortable. The energy-saving room lights keep the overall lighting subdued. I would stay there again.”

• I made one phone call that seemed local; didnt have to dial 1; and they charged me $7.00 to make this call.
