• The location.
• Hotel looked run down. Broken towel racks, several light bulbs in the room were never replaced during our 5 day stay(even though we requested).

• Roomy for 4, convenient location.
• Structure is older, well kept, but in need of renovation soon.

“Jacuzzi was broken. Breakfast buffet ran out of food due to several sports teams staying. Front desk should have informed its other guests to dine early morning or late morning. Not enough kitchen staff to keep up with the food demand. Hamilton steakhouse was very good!”

“This hotel was very nice, I'm unsure whether or not it was just my room, but it was extremely hot during my stay and the central air would not go lower than 75 degrees. Very good otherwise.”

• Clean, big, suite.

“I asked for 2 queen beds per room (3 rooms total), and their receptionist keep asking me to call back. I called back 3 times before I arrived and they weren't able to accommodate any rooms with 2 beds. Disappointing for a place that looks and so clean and nice.”

• Amazingly modern artsy decor and open airy feel. Hardwood floors and high ceilings feel give the rooms a loft like feel.
• Tiny restaurant. Understaffed.

• It's attractive Spanish-style design.
• The new owners got rid of the complimentary breakfast and free happy hour.

“This is a great hotel to getaway. Although the majority of restaurants are 1 freeway exit away. We enjoy the peaceful setting. It was very comfortable great for adults, leisure getaway or business traveler.”

• It was beautiful! Beautiful garden grounds, gorgeous pool, great complimentary breakfast!
• It seemed a bit noisy, like water running could be heard and walking from other rooms.

“This hotel was gorgeous with lush trees and flowers surrounding the hotel and beautiful pool! The rooms were large with sleep number beds. The complimentary breakfast was cooked to order with homemade salsa to die for! We'd love to go back!”

• Great pool, large suites, good breakfast.
• Suite was old, but they are in process of renovating.

“Hotel was perfect for our needs. Just in town for 2 nights to see a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Bed was very comfortable, pool large (and it actually had an 8 foot deep end). Complimentary breakfast was simple, but able to upgrade to a made to order for $4.95, which is less expensive than eating a hot meal anywhere else. Sure hotel will be awesome once renovations done, but even still, no complaints whatsoever. Would definitely stay here again.”

• The hot water did not work in our room for 2 days.

• Good breakfast in a tropical setting.
• Shower curtains rather than a glass door.

“The suite was small but fully equipped. Room still had old tube-type TV. Comes with continental breakfast. For $5 upgrade to include grilled to order dishes. Very pleasant tropical outside dining area. Ask for a quite room. Rooms along the freeway are probably noisy. Our room was very quite. I would stay here again if I was ever in the area.”

• Easy to find. Tropical looking garden. Nice lobby.
• Shower took long time to heat up. Hotel key often would not work, had to get new one in the lobby.

“It's an ok hotel. I think it needs to be upgraded a bit. Get their room keys to work at all times and do something about the hot water in the showers. You have to keep the water running for a long while until the hot water kicks in. What a waste of water!”

• The trees and plants gave it a great tropical feel.
• The rooms need updating. The ceilings had water spots on them and the boiler didn't work in our wing.

“This hotel is very attractive on the outside and in the lobby. Twenty minutes after we checked in we had to be moved to another room because there was not hot water in our wing. We would have preferred to know this before checking into the first room. In both rooms there was water damage on the ceilings and the bathrooms really need an update. The rooms are large however and if traveling with a family, there is plenty of space. It is also set up for entertaining. Ads promised sleep number beds but neither room had them. The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed to move rooms but we will probably pick a different area to stay in next time.”

• Very classy, extremely helpful staff, quiet and relaxing.
• Would have appreciated being told on checking that an upgrade to cooked to order breakfast was available.

“Beautiful grounds/swimming pool area, newly renovated rooms, great continental breakfast with an upgrade to 'cooked to order' for only $5.00 per person. Easy highway access and located in an upscale neighborhood with plenty of shopping and restaurants within 5 miles. I would definitely stay again!”

• The room was cute, the hotel well maintained, including the grounds and pool.
• There was really nothing I didn't like.

“The hotel was great. The room, which was a mini-suite, had lots of room. It was clean and in good shape. The grounds were very well kept, including the pool, which was pretty and sparkling clean. I was very happy with my stay. The complimentary continental breakfast was good as well.”

• The Staff and grounds were great.
• Some confusion about breakfast, but the staff was great.

“What a great hotel. The location was great to our needs, the rooms were just as comfortable as can be. The grounds of the hotel was breath taking. We had some unexpected family members join us at the last minute. The hotel staff was great about accommodating them near-by. The grounds were so peaceful to just sit and relax.”

• This is not a 3-Star hotel! It is a run down, past its prime hotel.

“Claimed to be a 3-Star hotel. Not even close! In terrible need of an update and should not be allowed to advertise a 3-Star rating. Very disappointing. Room looked like it had not been updated since the 70's. Awful overall shape. This is more of a Motel 6 than anything else.”

“Easy to reach from San Bernardino freeway, this hotel's roomy suites open onto a lovely garden with flowers and palms. The breakfast featured the widest array of choices I've seen, in an especially spacious and pleasant location off the garden. Great way to start one's day!”

“They tried to cut corners, by not sending cleaning lady, they said I have to pay extra for new towels and bed cleaning, and they only had soap it is extra for shampoo.”

• Horrible room. Loud parties, air conditioning did not work.

“An absolutely horrible experience. Would never stay at this hotel again. Could have stayed nearby at a 2 star that is 10 times better than this so called 3 star. Air conditioning made loud noises every 10 minutes and then finally quit working completely. Old dirty carpet, worst bed I ever slept on, smelly, dirty room in general. Loud party going on next door and in parking lot below.”

• Did not like the hotel rooms , the facilities were adequate but not pleasant.
• Bad toilets and bad service.

“The hotel from the outside looks beautiful but if you enter their rooms, they have bad toilets and they do not care to accommodate the guest to a better or equal room. I think this attitude is not acceptable. Therefore I think this hotel rating should be 1 instead of 3 very bad experience.”

• Separate suite, room for kids with own TV, pool and breakfast included free.
• Under some construction, some sign of wear, no water for server hours.

“Great locations right off major Freeway. Plenty of parking. Free hot sit down breakfast. All rooms are suites, some with king beds. Room had separate bath, separate sink, microwave, fridge. Dual doors allow privacy and no noise during the night when you need to visit the restroom. Clean, great beds. maid service does knock too early, remember to put out the do-not disturb sign. Great place to stay, would do again.”

• The room was very nice for the price with a beautiful outdoor heated pool and beautiful shrubbery throughout.
• The walls are paper thin and noisy all night due to people running around upstairs. Hotel manager wasn't very helpful.

“When we arrived, we thought wow this is very nice and romantic. Beautiful landscaping, nice heated pool. Family friendly etc. However, there was a lot of noise all night due to people walking down corridors upstairs etc. You could just hear everything. Walls not thick enough? Poor construction? Not sure. When called manager, he was not very sympathetic or helpful.”

• The two-room suite made it possible for my husband to stay up a little later watching television.
• The room had obviously been recently converted to "non-smoking" and the smell lingered.

“Our reason for a low number on question #8: We expected the room to be "non-smoking", and there was a little sign to this effect on the table when we came in. We noticed a tobacco odor, but thought that perhaps it was just from a workman, etc. Who had been in there recently? However, the scent became more and more noticeable in the furniture and bedding the longer we were there, and then we actually found ashtrays and matches in the kitchen and bedroom. By this time we were already unpacked and ready for bed so we let it go for this time since we were only staying for one night. But the tobacco smell was definitely noticeable.”
