• The rooms was clean, very nice looking - the bed was fantastic.
• The TV controls did not work well - did not get a cookie - all out.

“I have stayed at this hotel before on business and it was great for that. I enjoyed it enough that I would stay here for leisure excursion, as well. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Thanks - it made my short but busy stay a great experience.”

• Convenient to work location.
• There is not enough space to elaborate.

“On three separate occasions I had asked for the air conditioning unit to be serviced. Each time the request was either ignored, not conveyed to the maintenance personnel, or maintenance was not competent to make the necessary repairs. The warm weather and lack of air conditioning made for a very unpleasant stay. I would not stay there again.”

• Warm cookies at check-in.
• Parking lot full and overflow lot too far shuttle never around.

“Too noisy with sports event kids running up and down halls late at night-where's security? Parking lot was too Small for size of hotel,overflow lot was full,too and the available shuttle was nowhere to be found when we need a ride to/from the overflow parking lot, Also, no security watching overflow lot-what's up with that? My car was unsafe the entire stay.”

• Stylish decorations (not 80's bedding), Impressive staff, clean room and building, comfortable mattress.
• The exterior was not as attractive as the Double Tree across the street.

“Our family was very impressed with the hotel staff. We were always greeted with genuine smiles and quick, accurate service. Although the exterior was not top of the line, the interior made up for it with stylish decorations throughout, a beautiful dining area, excellent mattresses and bedding, new counter tops and accessories and a quiet nights rest.”

“There is a Doubletree Hotel 3 blocks away. I was dropped off at 2:20 am with a lot of luggage and learned that the Doubletree Club was right around the corner. The Doubletree Hotel staff never asked if I needed neither a taxi nor a shuttle. The person gave me bad walking directions and I got lost and walked about 40 minutes with my luggage until I found the Club. The Club restaurant was terrible, dried out eggs, greasy bacon and sausage and a staff who refused to speak Spanish (I am fluent) and I could not understand their English. They will not cook from the kitchen if you sit in the restaurant; you apparently have to order room service for a menu (non-buffet) item. Yet, they would no point even discuss it in the restaurant, they just said "no food at this time"- while the trays with fresh food are taken to the rooms. I called the front desk to ask for the shuttle at 5:45am (first shuttle). The man told me "just wait outside, it will come". The driver never came and acted surprised when I again asked the lobby guy for a ride. I almost missed my flight. If you are used to poor service and stupid people, I highly recommend this hotel.”

• The bed was extremely comfortable.
• Jacuzzi and pool have a view of the highway, not at all private.

“The Double Tree was a great for the price, we had corner room and it was peaceful and quiet. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed was so comfortable, I'd go back just for that.”

• Nice, clean, soft beds, cool AC.
• The one set of elevators.

“When we arrived the room was not ready and we had to wait half a hour. However the hotel did give us tickets for free breakfast. Other than that the room was nice, comfy bed, cool ac nice view. Parking was kind of far from the front door and there was only 1 set of elevators so it took a little long to get up to our room. Otherwise great hotel.”

“The hotel was nice, the location was right off the freeway for easy access. They gave free cookies which was nice.
I requested a non-smoking room, but
they put us
in a room that smelled like smoke. I requested to
transfered immediately. They took about 10 minutes, but they did transfer my room. Overall experience was good.”

• The staff needs boot camp training in hospitality.

“The room itself was comfortable but the restroom had a stench. Someone left a box of arm and hammer odor absorber outside my room as if to say I had an odor. I found it offensive and despite my complaint, the general manager has not responded.”

“Altogether a really good place to stay. The parking is free and close. The rooms are well-appointed. The service is friendly and professional. Location near freeways is great. I appreciate the chocolate chip cookie whenever I check in. That's a nice touch.”

“Very nice hotel for the price. Did not like all the construction around the hotel and the limited parking. There was some kind of event there and the parking space was taken by the event goers rather than having the parking spots reserved for the guests.”

“Only complaint is the local power company shut down the grid Saturday, which made showering/getting ready difficult. Hotel should have a back-up emergency generator for cases such as this.”

“My boyfriend and I were given a room with two beds that smelled really bad of smoke. Being non-smokers this greatly affected our ability to sleep and generally hang out in the room.”

“I requested a non-smoking room on check in and was told there were none. The smoking room stunk to the high heavens although the decor and size were quite nice. If public buildings restrict smoking, how can hotels have smoking rooms? If I had the choice of returning, I would only stay in a non-smoking room.”

• The location was nice with the lake and right close to a number of freeways and shopping.
• The beds were a firmer then I prefer.

• The room is nice and the beds were comfortable.
• Unfriendly Staff; confusion of the location as there is another Doubletree off the freeway.

“The room was clean. But the hallway was dark and dingy. There were dirty glasses outside our room and throughout the hallway on our floor. There are a lot of people at the front of the hotel smoking, which was not appealing when we first walked up to the hotel. The check-in clerk was chewing a mouthful of tobacco while checking us in and talking "to" us. He was not friendly with us when we asked him for a King Room.”

• A/C unit had a difficult time keeping large room cool.

“The Doubletree Club has recently been renovated and is a really nice property now! The hotel overlooks a pretty lake that is home to many ducks, swan and geese. It sits in the middle of a quiet office park but the hotel is very close to the freeway, so be sure to request a room away from the highway. The bedding is very soft and comfortable and the furnishings and carpet are new. This is a great hotel for business travelers because the rooms are quite large, and there is ample workspace (and a nice desk too). Wireless internet is free in public areas, but costs about $10 a day for in-room service. The hotel offers free self parking, though spots are a bit hard to come by, making parking sometimes inconvenient. The hotel has a nice breakfast buffet in the morning with cereals, fruit, bacon, eggs, and an assortment of pastries. All rooms have a coffee pot with yummy Wolfgang Puck coffee and organic teas. My only complaint is that the rooms have very large picture windows, especially in the suites, making them very hard to get cool during the hot summer months.”

“When I checked in I asked for a room with 2 beds, since I was traveling with children. They would not accommodate me. The room they gave me had such a strong musty odor that it triggered a migraine and I couldn't sleep at all. The next morning I asked to be switched to a different room, which they did, but the smell was only slightly better. My guess is that the hotel had serious water damage at some point and there is a lot of mold and mildew because the odor is very strong. I was not happy with my stay and will not stay there again.”

“This hotel is nice for a 3 star. Parking is tight. You may end up down the street if you don't secure one early, however it is free which is rare in this part of California. Overall, a friendly cozy place to stay for a relatively cheap price.”

“This Doubletrees Club is not what I expected. I would rather stay at the Doubletrees down the street from there on MacArthur. It's much nicer and cleaner.”

• The room was excellent for the price. The bed was very comfortable. I slept for 12 hours straight.
• There's a lot of construction around, although it did not impact our view and there wasnt any noise.

• The staff seemed to address our problems quickly.
• The room was disgusting and not clean at all.

“First we were given a room with 1 queen bed, even though we requested a double. Then they switched us to a room that had been used. There were hairs all over the sheets, the trashcans had trash in them, towels were used. They moved us to a slightly better room. Also, the Doubletree is supposed to have cookies and in our entire stay they never had cookies!”

• Long walk to stores or off-site restaurants.

“Quiet, comfortable business hotel with excellent rates on weekend nights. Clean, small workout room with new machines and bottled water. One to two mile walk to Trader Joe's or Carrow's, but Starbucks and Quizno's nearby. SNA airport shuttle until 10:30pm (2 miles). Shuttle service offered anywhere within 4 miles. Excellent hotel overall; a favorite.”
