“Hotel is in a prime location, great food within walking distance and great transportation for nearby attractions. Parking is in a dark, unsafe lot in the back of the hotel with an unsafe walk to entrance.”

“This hotel was clean and nice. The rooms were spacious and the staff exceptionally friendly. Our TV wasn't working right and with one phone call in 10 minutes it was fixed. Nice shower, great bathroom. Free internet. Very nice! I wish there had been a microwave and a refrigerator, but other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.”

“Very pretty lobby and friendly staff. Disney shuttle, but we didn't use it. Heard some others complaining of $12 resort fee which includes internet, parking, etc - that's just part of it, I figure! Elevators worked quickly. Did not use valet. Small restaurant onsite.”

• The beds were very comfortable.
• The parking situation was terrible. The room safe was too small.

“The room itself was fine. The beds were comfortable and all of the amenities functioned. We enjoyed watching The Disney Channel on the large flat screen TV. The room safe was too small to hold our video camera, laptop computer and other valuables but I understand there is another safe located at the front desk where such things can be left. There was no refrigerator (other than the locked minibar) but I understand that refrigerators can be rented for an extra charge. The maids were rather stingy with the soap and shampoo.”

• Great quiet location.
• Restaurant service and pricing is poor.

“This is a great location away from the hustle and bustle of Disneyland but the shuttle makes it easy to get back and forth to the park. The facilities were clean and nicely kept - great pool area. Service from staff was over and above our expectations. I did not mind paying the $12 resort fee for such great service and a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. The rooms are very large and very clean.”

• The hotel was very nice and clean and comfortable.
• I did not see why we had to pay $12 for parking. There was not any special parking facilities and I felt like our car was not particularly safe.

• The comfort of the rooms and beds were fabulous! Best sleep I have had in years, and for a hotel that is amazing.
• The rooms weren't well insulated.

“I can't say enough about the Sleep Advantage that Crown Plaza advertises, it is all they say it is. The beds were like sleeping on clouds. I honestly had the best sleep I have had in years. Any hotel that can accomplish that is amazing. We had two small children traveling with us and they loved the hotel as well, especially the pool. There is not much to the pool, but it was big. Due to traveling with small children it is too bad they didn't have any suites, but they did give us a room with a fridge when we asked about a suite. The fridge suited our needs for the bottles we had to make. We also utilized the room service breakfast which was always delivered on time. We figured we saved so much using Priceline for the actual price of the room why not splurge and get room service for a couple mornings. So glad we did. It got us quickly on our way for our day.”

• Excellent Rooms..It had that boutique hotel feel. Blows away other places 3X the cost.
• The added daily $12 fee not included in price.

“I got this on priceline. I read some of the negative reviews and found that none of them were true. This hotel was very very nice. Parking lot is a bit longer walk so maybe it takes an extra 2 minutes to get your car--big deal!”

• The restaurant, pool, business center, & gym hours were convenient.
• The hall floors were spotted and the wallpaper was worn.

“Overall, the accommodations were adequate. Little things like a functional clock in the fitness room, spotted carpets in the hall, a working printer in the business center all need to be looked at with more carefully, for our convenience.”

• Very comfortable beds, and rooms were very quiet.
• There were no refrigerators in rooms, and housekeeping didn't replace used glasses when they cleaned the rooms.

“Overall very nice room for the price we paid. Rooms did not have refrigerators but they would rent one to you for an additional 10 dollars a night. Also, they charged a 12 dollar a night resort fee on top of the room charge which I think is ridiculous. Don't think I would have paid full price to stay there but for the price we paid I was satisfied.”

• Having a shuttle included with the payment for parking was helpful.
• Parking lot was in the back with no rear entrance and the idea that you must pay for parking, this should be included.

• Clean and well maintained. Friendly staff.
• Cable TV, without an extra charge. Parking was tight and almost feel like a golf cart shuttle would've been nice. Free Breakfast is good.

“I really appreciated the clean rooms. The tub had a little rust, but that didn't really bother me, because I felt like it was clean. We would have appreciated regular TV or cable TV. The Internet TV just didn't work for me. If you had served the free continental Breakfast that's so popular now days (kids love that) I would say your and awesome place to stay.”

“Crowne Plaza resort Anaheim in Garden Grove, California is located in the center of Garden Grove's resort area and is a very nice hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is minutes from Disneyland, Angel Stadium, The Anaheim Convention Center, and two major freeways.”

“Only if you expected to pay $150/night or more was this hotel a good deal. I should have stayed at a lower star hotel because they charged for parking , the pool was closed and they didn't let me know in advance. This hotel is NOT worth 4 stars.”

• The rooms were quite soundproof.. they had a blower outside our door which we could not hear
• Everything else about the hotel was wrong

“When we arrive at John Wayne airport, there was a sign saying courtesy shuttles were available from Crowne Plaza. We called and inquired but were told there was no such thing. Thinking we just had to book the shuttle in advance, we took a cab to the hotel.Upon checking in, we were told that there would be a $100 hold on the room as well as $12/day resort fee for miscelleneous things such as self-service parking, internet, pool fees, room service etc. I found the hold to be ridiculous as we paid by credit card. The fees were also ridiculous as we didn't drive, didn't have a laptop, didn't plan on using the pool and usually decline room service. Also, the 1 mile radius courtesy shuttle listed on the hotel's website was apparently non-existant... even though it was parked right out front when we walked in. What they did have was a different shuttle to Disneyland that left every half hour. The clincher was after we got our keys, the lady at the counter casually said, "By the way, we don't have water for the next 4 hours." Great. Now I can't even shower after travelling. Why weren't we told earlier that there would be no water? Poor play on the hotel's part.When we got to our room (room 234 to be exact, maybe it's the crappiest room in the hotel I dunno), we noticed there was a carpet drying right outside our door. Despite being really loud, the room had adequate soundproofing so all we heard inside the room was a low growl. Good cause that stupid blower was there till the next day!Room conditions were so-so. Somewhat dated but passable. Our drapes failed at closing fully so maybe that's why they included a drape clip to keep it shut... ghetto. The corners of the wall had plastic corner protectors that were nailed on shoddily and some of the nails were jutting out. The coffee maker jug had a broken tip that just sent coffee everywhere when you tried to pour a cup. The bathroom came with enough towels and amenities so at least the hotel didn't fail there.A”

• Staff had no clue about its own services.

“The hotel was great, except for the shuttle service to Disneyland - To get there, great, fine, but getting back, I had forgotten which location to wait at (Disneyland had them all labeled) so I called the hotel and they didn't have a clue, they just said to wait wherever the shuttles were. Turns out this hotel had a totally different shuttle location that they didn't know to tell me about, so I missed one and had to wait another 30 minutes for the next one. I only found out about the other location through a Disney representative, and that was at 12:30 a.m. after everyone else was gone and I was still sitting in the wrong place waiting.”

“Nice hotel, near Disney. Restaurants literally in the parking lot so convenient for walking to dinner. Parking is a challenge, and expect a long walk to your vehicle. We were made to pay a $12/day resort fee when we arrived - it was explained it was for a shuttle service to Disney (which we didn't need) and internet access in the room (which wasn't wireless).”

“We liked this hotel for the cleaness and location. Cleaning service seem to use towel to dry the coffee mugs that it showed some textile dusts all over them but it didn't bother us too much. Overall it's a greatplace to stay.”

“Remote control for TV not working, the clock was not set to the current time, asked for a certain room in advance, but the check-in clerk said it was for first come first serve, well, we requested a certain type of room 2 weeks in advance and was promised of one! Was charged $12 for resort fee extra per day which we did not know until we get there.”

• Poor AC in the room, very slow wired internet in the room.

“The hotel had poor a/c in the first room we got, and on 3rd complaint they agreed to change our room. There was only wired internet in the room and it was very very slow. The card key to the room did not work properly and each time we had to go down to the lobby to get a new key, which again only worked once and then stopped working. In spite of all this, the hotel charged $12 per room per night for resort fee.”

• Close to Disneyland, Target and several restaurants.
• Parking is awful. There are only 8 spots in front and the rest are quite a hike in the dark. Didn't like that with small children and coming back late.

“The rooms were spacious and clean. Fridges and microwaves were an additional cost per day. The front desk was attentive and responsive. The restaurant stayed open late, but didn't have room service.”

• TV channels only amounted to about ten to twelve. No Foz news.

“My car was door dinged twice because the hotel parking is terrible. The hotel has parking spaces that are so close together, you would still have to watch opening your door if nothing but Toyota Prius's were in the lot. This is not acceptable. And, the television channels only amounted to about ten to twelve. ESPN was not working, and they did not offer FOX news channel or much of a variety. One of the worst television packaeges I have ever seen.”

• I liked the convenience of this hotel to Disneyland and that there was a shuttle every 30 minutes.
• I did not like that the room did not have a microwave or fridge.
  I also did not like that I had to pay an extra $12 per day without knowing.

“This hotel is clean. The lobby is very busy during the day because there are groups coming in and out listening to time share presentations. When checking with concierge most of the time was spent talking me into attending the timeshare presentation. I also would have like to have a fridge in the room since I had small children and it is sometimes necessary to have cold drinks that are not soda. Self parking is a lot shared with another hotel and the walk from the parking lot to the hotel entrance is quite a distance. The hotel charged an extra $12 fee per day for a facility fee. If you are attending Disneyland, the $12 includes the shuttle which is convenient. The shuttle does not drop off close to the entrance but, down next to the street. The walk to the gate will take about 5 minutes. I suspect it is still closer than the walking distance from the parking lot.”

“This is actually a nice hotel, but when I booked it as a 3 1/2 star level, my expectations were high and they really disappointed me. This was more like a 2 to 2 1/2 star hotel, which in my opinion aren't lousy hotels. I would consider a Sheraton 4 points a 2 1/2 star and I always have a great stay at those. But this supposed resort is a 3 1/2 star hotel. I would expect better amenities and service. This hotel did not meet my expectations and I would absolutely never pay full price for it.”

• The room was nice.
• Plumbing was horrible.

“I didn't have great room being placed by the elevators. Not too happy about the poor plumbing and being unable to flush the toilet. To my surprise I was charged an additional $12 fee for extra things offered by the hotel that I did not use: a shuttle for Disneyland, internet access and the pool. This is by far my worst experience at a hotel I've had in a long while and I travel often.”
