Aerielle from Daly City,CA “We stayed in a suite with a daybed. I booked the room for four people and really this room only fit three. The beds and lines were lovely.” Mar 11, 2009 by
Nina from Washington,DC
“Overall, the hotel mostly met my expectations. The staff went above and beyond to met our needs. My only two downsides for the hotel were as follows: hot water ran out and there was no elevator. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, the staff exceptional and the location was outstanding.” Feb 8, 2009 by
Susan from Lake Elsinore,CA
“We were pleased with the quick response when we called for help with the heater. The room was clean and attractive. The grounds were very well maintained.” Jan 4, 2009 by
Takentothecleaners from Los Gatos
“The Anabella Hotel was highly recommended, accommodations were good. Unfortunately, we were informed during check in by your night desk person of a parking fee for parking our car in the hotel. We decided to take this up with the manager during our checkout. Their comments too were that other hotels were charging a parking fee to their customers. So I guess this makes it okay! Fortunately, there are many hotels in the Anaheim area which are honest and value and appreciate their customers. They don't squeeze every possible dollar from their guests with so called petty charges or parking fees. I will probably be visiting the area again but definitely will not be staying at the Anabella Hotel again.” Dec 26, 2008 by
Craig from Bakersfield,CA
“This was our first stay at the Anabella in Anaheim and we will be returning. We have a family of five and brought a neice along. There was plenty of space and the room was clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was a short walk to disneyland and my family had a great time. Don't like the parking fee though.” Sep 14, 2008 by
Kristina from La Quinta, CA
“I would definitely recommend this hotel but bring your own breakfast food if you want variety in a continental breakfast.” Jun 15, 2008 by
Maria from Northglenn, CO
“It is a nice little place to stay at, and really close to Disneyland.” Mar 29, 2008 by
Cameron B. from La Mesa, CA
“Great hotel, nice room, good location. Loved the bed it was very comfortable. I was woken up early by the people upstairs stomping around though. Also the hot water in the shower took forever to get hot and then didn't stay hot.” Mar 28, 2008 by
Carrie from Pearl City, HI
“After a somewhat rocky start, the hotel was more than we expected. The room was not ready the first night we got there so they gave us a smaller room. The clerk argued back and forth with me that I didn't reserve for the # of people in our party even though I had. I told her that I was not going to argue with her, that I reserved a specific room type and wanted to know what they were going to do about the situation. They put us in a sister hotel free for one night. When we returned to the Anabella the next day, we were given a $20 discount per night for the rest of the nights. So it worked out well. The Bellman was very friendly and remembered us upon our return. The other bellman was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions. The managers were helpful and accommodating.” Jan 7, 2008 by
Mark from Gilbert, AZ
“When you first arrive the hotel looks wonderful. The rooms are clean and have modern decorations. The problem arises when your neighbors arrive. The walls are paper thin. It literally sounds like your neighbors are in the same room with you. In my case, my neighbors were up until midnight chatting. I was unable to sleep.” Dec 13, 2007 by
Nickie from North Las Vegas, NV
“Great room for the price. Awesome location. Will stay here again.” Dec 6, 2007 by
Mark from Hudson, WI
“We had a great experience at this motel; especially since we asked for a room upgrade upon arrival (and it was granted). Do note that this is a motel, not a hotel; the standard rooms are no different than your typical Super 8. The upgraded room we had was spacious, had hardwood floors and a flat panel television (it was handicapped accessible). Very attractive and clean exterior. Reasonable family restaurant right next door!” Dec 4, 2007 by
Adam from Fresno, CA
“While the front desk staff was very nice and quick to assist us and get us to our rooms, the room itself left much to be desired. They gave us the smallest and worst room they had. I could stretch my arms out and touch the width of one wall to the next, I had to squeeze out of my side of the bed because of the 6 inches of space to the wall, and there wasn't even a table to sit at; just a small desk and two ugly chairs. On top of that, they charge $10.00 dollars per day to park with a $1.50 per day parking tax added in?” Nov 26, 2007 by
Abel from Firebaugh, CA
“This hotel is in a good location if you are going to Disneyland Park, recommend you ask questions about room; how many beds and size of beds. Queen beds are actually full size beds and make sure they give you your parking ticket.” Nov 25, 2007 by
Klien from Wilsonville, OR
“Not accommodating. Lied to us. Told us on phone with AAA there would be no parking fee, when we got there they said they never say that and we had to pay $11 a day to park. Then, the internet usage fee is $10 a day in your room if you use it. Other hotels we have stayed at give you that and the parking for free. We needed to print some online tickets, and went to the lobby and were told it was $6.00 to use the lobby internet! Crooks! Then, we drove our small RV that is not much bigger than an SUV and were told we would have to find somewhere else to park it. Then, after much arguing with management, and being told how "most" people who stay at the Annabella fly in and then rent a shuttle. We asked them if that was true, why was it so hard to find a parking spot in their big lot? They finally let us keep our motor home parked there, but we still had to pay the $11 a day. Also, No free continental breakfast, and there Tangerine Restaurant is just horrible! Better to stay at The Homewood Suites in Orange Grove or Residence Inn, or Staybridge.” Nov 20, 2007 by
Kim from Lehi, UT
“We loved the room and the amenities of this hotel. The bedding was great as well as the size of the rooms. The location was great as well. My only disappointment was the extra charge for everything. There was an extra charge for parking, roll away crib, internet, etc.” Nov 18, 2007 by
Erin from Gilbert, AZ
“The room was tiny. The bathroom was small and you had to being over to get your hair wet in the shower. The staff was not friendly.” Nov 16, 2007 by
Dave from San Ramon, CA
“This hotel has nice facilities; however, in their attempt to cut cost and go green, they have gone too far. The light in the bathroom is no more than a 60 watt bulb, the water in not hot and the soap and shampoo were imported from china and smelled of cheap perfume. Too bad, reminds me of a cheap hooker that looks good from afar.” Nov 15, 2007 by
Kathy from Campbell, CA
“Not a pleasant experience. There was a fight next door you could hear everything as the walls were paper thin. Including snoring on other side. I asked about parking told no charge, there was. Crib $10 per night, paper charge too if you wanted one. This in not a 3 star hotel, it's a motel with a facelift.” Nov 14, 2007 by
Mary from Vacaville, CA
“The beds were worn out in the middle and featherbeds put on top. The toilets were low flow and extremely loud. The walls were so thin that when the neighbors turned on their shower it would wake us up. The bedspread and decorative pillows smelled like body odor. The towels did not smell clean and some were sandpaper rough. The parking charge was $11.50 per day and did not have gated access. What do you get for that? The charge was $9.95/day for an internet connection. The room doors opened to the outside like a motel. The two good things I could say are that the refrigerator worked very well and the staff was friendly. No microwave was available.” Nov 11, 2007 by
Anna from Arlington Heights, IL
“Driving up, the hotel looked promising. The entry is nice, and the hotel certainly looked like a three star. Until, of course, you leave the lobby and go to your room. You have to drive to your room, like a Travelodge. The hotel is not one building. No. Each room has an exterior entrance, like a Travelodge. And much like a Travelodge, all the outside noise and odor makes it inside the room. The windows aren't even double-pane to dampen the noise, so you hear everything. From the other guests tromping up the concrete stairs to their room, to people closing their car doors, to the cleaning lady's cart rolling up the hall. And yes, it is that bad. And it gets worse. They were doing some sort of construction work, which started every morning at 6:30 or so. Every truck, every worker-- we got to hear it all. The staff was rather apathetic to our request to be moved. We were kept where we were. Now, for inside the room. Cramped quarters are a nice was to put it. How they stuffed two doubles in this room is amazing to me. I am not a claustrophobic person, but man, it was tight. No room for a sitting area, so your choice was to sit on the bed, or on the single small desk chair, which was uncomfortable. The decor was dated and scratched and ugly. I have stayed in nicer Best Western's than this. I have even stayed at nicer Motel 6's than this. I can tell you that I have stayed at plenty three star hotels, and this is not a three star. Not even close. Giving it two stars is being nice. The bathroom was also small, and the mechanical parts needed repair. The toilet had a tendency to run endlessly, so we needed to lift the water lid and jiggle with the parts inside. Each and every time we flushed. The shower head was placed at five feet high-- great if you are short. But even at 5'8", I had to crouch to feel the stream of water. Couldn't adjust the shower head, even though it was one that should have been able to. The water was plumbed backwards, s” Nov 8, 2007 by

“I would not recommend this hotel for a couple of reasons. The front desk staff was extremely rude. We had 2 adults and 1 child and called the hotel over a month ago to advise that we needed a King/Non Smoking Room. They advised "not a problem" however when we got there it was a problem. Then miraculously she found a king bed room but it was an additional $25/night. So just to get the room we had requested it cost us more money!!! Then on the last day, we were told that we had to move our car by 1pm or we had to pay an additional $5.75 for parking. Second complaint, the quality of the room. This hotel is not a 3 star hotel. The room is tiny and not kid-friendly at all. With a king bed, there was barely room to walk around! The shower had no light so we had to bathe in the dark! Hard wood floors were slippery for young child and our socks were black from walking without shoes, gross!” Sep 21, 2007 by
Shannon from Pheland, CA
“We would not stay here again. Our reservation was lost for over an hour. The shower head was so short that we both had to bend over to get our hair washed. And worst of all, the air conditioning is so out of date that it did not work during the night, and we could not sleep because it was so warm. We will not stay here again.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Kristen from Mesa, AZ
“This hotel was very pretty and the staff was very friendly. The annoyances outweighed the conveniences, however. Check in was not until 4 p.m. (couldn't guarantee an earlier time, but in the end let us in at 2:30 p.m.). There were not enough parking spaces, especially later at night and it took half an hour to wait for someone to leave. And the shower heads are about 5'5" high. Place is pretty but definitely not luxurious or convenient. Would not recommend.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Deanne from Carmichael, CA
“The Annabelle is a beautiful hotel. But the rooms were too small and the hotel restaurant was overpriced. The location to Disneyland is good. I think I would stay there again if I was traveling alone and not with my family.” Jun 9, 2007 by
Brian from Surprise, AZ
“The hotel was very nice and staff was very helpful and made our stay comfortable.” Apr 12, 2007 by
Van from San Jose, CA
“I had a horrible experience staying at this hotel. The room (1 King) was too small for 2 adults and 2 kids. I had to ask for a roll-away bed and that did not help since there was almost no space to put them plus the bed was not comfortable at all. The toilet had lots of stains which gave me a hard time to make my daughter go. Next day, I went to the front desk and complained about the toilet and asked if we can switch to another room with two double beds or a king bed with a tub instead of stall showers so I can take a bath for my kids. The front desk supervisor was very anxious to check it out for me in the beginning but when he saw more and more people checking in. He told us that we have to pay for an upgrade and then he went inside to talk to hotel manager and came out and said there is no room available. When we showed him the pictures of the dirty toilet (we have already suffered for 1 night) he said he will send somebody but nobody ever came by. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 9, 2007 by

“I called twice in advance and they knew we needed two beds. They were extremely rude and not helpful. We ended up getting a queen and a roll away (my suggestion). There should be a way to book king, queen, two beds so this does not happen again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 26, 2007 by

“Very convenient and great staff. Very helpful and accommodating.” Jan 9, 2007 by

“The Annabelle hotel has a great staff and for the price we paid it was marvelous. Our family enjoyed a spacious room with great comfort, and top of the line internet and electronics in our room. I would have expected to pay much more for this room per night.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 30, 2006 by

“Great hotel room. Other than some noises at night the room, hotel, and location were all great. Tried to book again for next stay, but didn't get it. Would recommend.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 13, 2006 by

“Decent size rooms with very friendly staff but definitely not a Hilton or Hyatt. Management must have reviewed some of the earlier complaints because plenty of toilet paper and overly gracious staff. I would stay there again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 11, 2006 by

“I booked this hotel to accommodate me and my husband for a short Disneyland trip. The Annabelle is located very close to Disneyland which was very convenient. There is a Disneyland tram that runs every 20 minutes. Right in front of the lobby that was the best part of the hotel. The tram and the location. As far as the room went...well I reserved a junior suite and it sure was 'junior'! The overall feeling of the room was sterile and cold. There was a bed, nightstands and a TV. A table and chair would have been nice, I kind of thought that was a standard thing. If you want to et in the room, you'll have to do it sitting on the floor or the bed. The bathroom was actually pretty nice though. Overall, this hotel was just ok. I was expecting something a little more luxurious after viewing the hotel website.” Dec 7, 2006 by
Aaron from Delhi, CA
“Overall it was a nice place the rooms were a little small and a complimentary breakfast of some sort would have been nice.” Aug 19, 2006 by
Josh from South Jordan, UT

“The location, restaurant, and waiter, and maid staff, were great. We also appreciated the workout room, and pool. The front desk staff seemed aloof, uninterested, understaffed, and poorly trained/disorganized. It seemed apparent that the maid staff had been instructed by management to provide less than minimum toilet paper, and conveniently forgot Kleenex once out. The front desk grudgingly issued one roll of toilet paper upon request.” Aug 8, 2006 by
Nancy from Brownsville, TX
“The Anabella was very clean and the staff was great. Although the walk to Disneyland was longer than expected, we managed by using the Disney tram across the street. Our overall experience was very positive.” Jul 3, 2006 by
Tw from La Center, WA
“Great spot for DL vacationers. The location is great, not as busy as Harbor Blvd. We walked to DL each day approx 15 min, it was a pretty walk along DL way. The room was spacious and comfortable. I will stay again on my next trip to DL.” Jul 2, 2006 by
Allison from San Carlos, CA
“One star - We left without spending the night.” Jun 23, 2006 by
Jj from Castro Valley, CA
“Hotel is close to Disneyland, room was small, not ideal for families with children, air conditioning is very loud, pool area not enough lighting at night.” Jun 21, 2006 by
Craig from Santa Monica, CA
“Conveniently located across the street from Disneyland, the Annabelle Hotel offers travelers to Anaheim the hint of a resort atmosphere at a fraction of the price.” Jun 19, 2006 by
Judy from St George, UT
“This hotel is beautiful and clean staff is very friendly will stay here again.” Jun 19, 2006 by
Tim from Livermore, CA
“The air conditioner in one of the rooms wasn't working, so they brought a replacement that night to address the problem. They also put our whole party in adjacent rooms which was nice. Customer service was excellent.” Jun 14, 2006 by
Cindy from Folsom, CA
“Over all our stay was great. The walk to Downtown Disney wasn't too bad and having the restaurants on the corner made it nice. I'd stay there again.” Jun 1, 2006 by
Cheryl from San Mateo, CA
“This Hotel is excellent for those who love luxury hotels but don't want to spend the high cost of being in one. This Hotel is clean and the rooms are beautiful with granite bathrooms, plush pillows on the bed, and just a wonderful ambiance throughout the hotel. You are also right across the street from Disney Land!” May 30, 2006 by
Anna from Lake Grove, NY
“I gave up my room to share with two other people because there rooms was never booked. I ended up sleeping in a bunk bed. The room was never cleaned before 3pm. I had to visit Anaheim for a nursing conference. I would never stay at this hotel again. The air condition did not work and the toilet leaked.” May 24, 2006 by
Traci from Corona, CA
“PERFECT for the Disneyland vacation. It is a nice small town atmosphere with very courteous staff. This is a wonderful place to take your children as well as a great business stay. The convention center is next door for the business person and that is very nice.” May 5, 2006 by
Shannan from Citrus Heights, CA
“Nice room, overall nice hotel.” May 4, 2006 by
Chris from Livermore, CA
“The hotel was very nice and the location was excellent for access to Disneyland. I did not get the 2 beds I requested and they would have charged me 15 a night more for a roll away. The air conditioning unit froze up in the middle of the night and was very loud.” May 4, 2006 by
Linda from Fresno, CA
“Poor customer service, we were unable to secure a 2 bed children suite within 3 weeks ahead of time. We couldn't upgrade when we were there due to unavailability, the reservation dates were wrong missing our last day of stay which caused a hassle and time waiting (with 4 kids under the age of 8 waiting in the car after 5 hours of driving to the hotel). I would've gladly paid the regular hotel rates for a better room and service. ”
