• Nice looking swimming pool, garden, and the breakfast area,
• Do not provide dinning & lunch. Elevator was too far away.

“I got a bad impression when the staff told me that it was up to the hotel to offer two beds per room or not. I felt that I did not need to know that. I did not feel very welcomed. But the rooms came with a pull out bed and a very comfortable king size bed.”

• I really liked the space of the room, high ceiling and spacious all around.
• My kids went to have breakfast and the personnel allowed the "minors" to charge breakfast to the account, without parent consent!

• Great location in the middle of the east la metro.
• Lack of close by restaurants.

“Very well managed property. Staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. I've stayed here at a least four times over the past 15 years and it has always been a pleasure. Freeway access is close but far enough away to give the area a neighborhood feel. Only complaint is the lack of nice sit down restaurants nearby. Otherwise it gets my highest recommendation.”

• Elegant hotel, friendly staff, sofa bed in room, amenities. Rooms were beautiful and bed was comfortable.
• I liked everything.

“This hotel is beautiful, the staff was helpful and friendly, the bed and sofa bed were comfortable, and the room was clean. The computer in the lobby was great to have as well, but even so, there was internet connection in the rooms. We truly enjoyed our stay.”

• They do not have free breakfast.

“This is an affordable hotel in a nice location. If they had free breakfast & newspapers, I would probably prefer them to Hampton inn, but due to those 2 items they fall short. I am very glad that all Marriott hotels are non-smoking now.”

• The hotel staff was friendly, accommodating, and willing to take steps to ensure that guest enjoyed their stay.
• It was difficult to determine where one should park. Also, the price and accessibility of the morning breakfast service was confusing.

“Despite minor confusing details and a lay-out that leaves guests wanting, the Courtyard by Marriott proved itself to be a decent hotel with a staff that was at the service of its guests.”

• Clean, convenient, centrally located.
• Both the pool and Jacuzzi were closed.

“Went there with my family... mom, dad, sister, nephews, and my children. 3 separate rooms. Kids were anticipating going swimming. Not once was the fact that the pool was being resurfaced brought up. The sign on the pool said it would be closed for 2 weeks starting April 17th. After calling the front desk from our room we were told it would be another 2 weeks, that wasn't going to do us any good. Children were extremely disappointed. Room was clean and I appreciated the refrigerator. There were maybe 10 English speaking channels, the rest were in Chinese/Japanese, I am not sure.”

• Parking stalls were very narrow as are all parking stalls in California.

• It was very clean, very convenient location and most of staff was very nice.
• We had to switch our rooms, the staff was more friendly last time, and our room keys were deactivated even though we had 1 more night to stay.

“In general, we enjoyed out stay. However, it was terrible the first night because when we walked in it looked like a tornado had ripped through there because of all the construction. The second day we actually had to switch rooms because the first room wasnt what we had requested. Some of the staff also was not nearly as friendly as the staff that had helped me the last time I had stayed there. We also were charged for a bottle of water that we had not used. But the hotel was very clean, very nicely remodeled and was at a very convenient location.”

• It wasn't close enough to our event and the traffic was very hectic.

“We had previously stayed at another hotel, 2 nights in a row where we did not receive the best of service. For example, 5 of us and only 2 towels, even at our request for more. Staying at the Marriot certainly was a different story. We had the friendliest staff and the best and quickest service ever. Even the housekeeping employees were friendly with us. In spite of the fact that remodeling was going on, the service and manner of directing us to the different locations of the hotel were excellent. ”

• It's cleaned and in a quiet location. And convenient - next to supermarket.
• It will be better to have a private, small refrigerator!

This hotel provides free highspeed internet connection in each room - an important item for this time in age. This location offers a workout room for anyone who wants to keep up their workouts while on the road. The facility is maintained in top shape and cleaned. Amiable staffs are available to help. Best of all, this hotel is minutes from supermarkets, a shopping mall, and a Buddhism Hsi Lai Temple.”

• Wonderful night view, quiet and peace place, convinent to walk to anywhere including fitness and restaurant
• mattress is too soft for me, maybe it's ok to others

“I really enjoy staying in this hotel, I can jog nearby, it's safe. I can walk to my fitness center. I can walk to quite a few choices of restaurants nearby. I can walk to nearby supermarket to buy my meal and my grocery. it's perfect location for me to stay whenever I have trip to Los Angeles.”

• Ignorant, nosey and unhelpful front desk clerk.

“Hotel is fine; about the same as most Courtyards. I have stayed here many times. I can't figure out one thing; sometimes when I stay I ask for a king bed, and the desk clerk says no problem and gives it to me. Other times the response is, "I can't do it ." Don't understand this. It happens about 50% of the time. This desk clerk was the one who "couldn't". Then she wanted to know if my stay was business or personal. When I told her personal she questioned me about it. Wanted to know if I was visiting friends or what the personal nature of my stay was.”

• I like the Jacuzzi most of all, it was very clean. I have been to numerous hotels with dirty spas lately.
• I did not like the limited choices for breakfast. There was not any free" breakfast like at other Marriot hotels. The buffet was $8.95 for breakfast"

“The hotel staff was very pleasant and gave immediate response to my requests. The facility was very clean. The only downfall was the breakfast was a buffet for $8.95 and I do not eat $8.95 worth of breakfast, there were no choices for a quick, less expensive bite to eat.”

• Friendly staff and convenient location. Near a nice park. Quiet.
• No free-weights in the exercise room.
