“Hotel in good beach colors, clean with nice landscaping. Had variety of different outdoor pool areas to enjoy. The tiki torches were sometimes on and sometimes off, no rhyme or reason. Bathroom door did not close properly, did not fit door jam. Housekeeping would put room back to their floor plan, would've liked to have the trash can kept where it worked for us, just little things like that could make an improvement for me. Didn't put the ironing board back. Very good with towels and toiletries. No phone book in room. I am originally from the area so I know the area well. Staff took no time at all to get to know me/husband. We were just another couple checking in for the first time, each and every time! I finally told them I had been there over a week! This hotel facilitates a lot of weddings, events so on weekends especially there are a lot of vehicles coming through at certain times of the day. Would've liked to have been able to get to my car without having to go through the valet service.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Tony from Brea,CA
“Hotel was excellent, had great service. wonderful pools and jacuzzi's.” Aug 23, 2009 by

“So pretty.” Aug 10, 2009 by
Tracey from North Babylon,NY
“I loved this hotel, drinks, bottled water, smores, everything you needed was included. Except there is a $25 per day valet fee, and a luxury fee for California hotels.” Aug 9, 2009 by
Jim from Poway,CA “This was a wonderful hotel. Steps to beach, beautiful pool and nice amenities.” Jul 27, 2009 by
Nancy from Gurnee,IL
“The hotel was beautiful. Internet was expensive, parking was valet only. Attached restaurant was extremely expensive. Access to our room was through long winding halls. Was confusing, and exits were far apart. But it was definitely a beautiful place right on the ocean, with free access to the beach, the public pier, and the downtown shops. There was an additional $16 per day per room "resort fee" added that was not disclosed at check in.” Jun 28, 2009 by
Kathleen from Rochester,PA
“The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious, have a small balcony with a table and chairs. The pool is large and clean. The grounds are lovely, the employees are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect since you can walk on the beach directly from the hotel. The town is a 10 minute walk from the hotel on the paved path situated on the beach.” Jun 3, 2009 by
Fred from Claremont,CA
“This is a hotel for persons on an expense account or who have no common sense about their money. It is a very nice hotel, beautifully maintained, with excellent rooms and grounds. To charge $25.00 per overnight for parking and a $16.50 fee per night for a resort fee is the hotel's right to charge what they want. However, one expects to pay reasonable parking fees and the resort fee is expected in the room's rate. There are other very nice places to stay without the high fees charged by this hotel to the unknowing or unsuspecting.” May 26, 2009 by
Debbie from Denver,CO
“A user friendly atmosphere with shops, restaurants and activity one stop places for surfing etc. The spa was the best I have ever been in. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The room I had faced the ocean and was equipped with a large flat screen TV.” May 22, 2009 by
Allison from Minneapolis,MN
“The Hyatt Huntington Beach was perfect. The Californian restaurant was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life and the presentation was as good as the food itself. The staff was courteous and helpful, and willing to take care of every need. I would highly recommend this to other Priceline customers!” May 4, 2009 by
Sherry from Boulder,CO
“Highly recommend this hotel. Great customer service and beautiful grounds.” Apr 22, 2009 by

“The hotel was great, beautiful, clean, great location. Unfortunately parking is super expensive and only valet. But I would recommend this hotel to others.” Apr 20, 2009 by
Val from Laguna Niguel,CA
“Excellent!” Oct 8, 2008 by

“The resort was just that, a resort. Even if there was not a fantastic beach and Huntington Pier a short walk away, you could have a fantastic time at the hotel. The 2 restaurants are opposite ends of the dining spectrum but there are many choices in Huntington, a $6 cab ride or 15 minute walk. Staff was great.” Sep 6, 2008 by
Xxx from Naugatuck, CT
“Excellent hotel, great location, nice property easy access to beach. Downside is mandatory valet parking and resort fee.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Chris from Sarasota, FL
“Our trip was strictly to visit local family, so we did not utilize any of the hotel's amenities. It is a very large resort style property with meeting space and on site shops and restaurants, none of which we used ( exception: Starbucks outlet). The room was nice, hotel provided in room coffee service, complimentary bottled water and daily newspaper for a $12 per day resort fee, which we were not aware of. the overnight parking fee was $25 and there was no alternative, another surprise. Overall it was fine for our purposes although the resort fee and parking fees should be divulged ahead of time.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Kathleen from Chatsworth, CA
“We can't wait to go back. A beautiful setting, easy access to the beach, lots of activities and amenities to enjoy. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. It wasn't in the room when we arrived, when I called about it, a plate of fruit was sent up.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Stephanie from Hemet, CA
“Very nice beachy feel, but because of this it wasn't quite as elegant as I had hoped for to celebrate our anniversary.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Jon from Loveland, CO
“Great hotel, amazing location, friendly staff, clean rooms.” Jul 4, 2008 by

“Great hotel, great location.” May 21, 2008 by
Lauren from Tucson, AZ
“The hotel is beautiful, there is numerous activities, places to eat, and of course you are in walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops on Main Street. But the only down side is the mandatory valet parking and the room I stayed in smelled like someone spilt a bottle of cologne and the bathroom was not the cleanest.” May 1, 2008 by
Amy from San Francisco, CA
“This hotel was comfortable and sexy. The first night of a fantastic holiday!” Mar 10, 2008 by
Chad from Chapel Hill, NC
“Overall, the hotel was fantastic. We received a free upgrade upon arrival and the room we ended up in was a very large suite. We really enjoyed our stay.” Aug 24, 2007 by

“My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt for a weekend just to get some rest and relaxation. We were very impressed with the hotel. The room was amazing and the food at the Californian was superb. Our concierge was very nice and helped us with anything we needed. My wife also got her navel pierced at body piercing which was located only 5 minutes drive from the hotel. The hotel also had a pool that was the perfect place for us to just sit and do absolutely nothing. Our stay at the Hyatt was great and I would recommend our friends to stay there as well.” Jun 23, 2007 by
Sharon from Yorba Linda, CA
“They need the staff to respond to customers complaints and when promising a room with partial view of the ocean than that's what they should get we were put in a room without the view and it was a handicapped room. The shower flooded every time we used it. They must have known the problem existed long before we stayed there!” Jun 6, 2007 by
Suzanne from Bakersfield, CA
“We loved the hotel and will most likely stay again but for more than 1 day.” Jun 4, 2007 by
Charmaine from Wickenburg, AZ
“I loved the hotel and wished we could have stayed longer.” May 14, 2007 by
Charles from Granada Hills, CA
“This was a marvelous facility. The tranquil setting near the ocean, the close proximity to events and shopping, and the dining experience were the reasons for the excellence Hyatt is known for.” Mar 29, 2007 by
Michael from Lancaster, CA
“Everything was as we would expect it.” Mar 17, 2007 by
Joanne from Stouffville, ON CA
“What a surprise to our eyes when we pulled up to this hotel! We never expected such a glorious resort. We have done quite a bit of traveling throughout the US and the Caribbean, but The Hyatt Huntington Beach, has truly been the best so far. ” Mar 14, 2007 by
Sean from Alta Loma, CA
“The hotel was like a paradise. My wife was amazed by how beautiful this hotel was. I was also very pleased with the overall experience at the Hyatt.” Nov 1, 2006 by

“The surroundings and room were beautiful and comfortable. But what made our stay so wonderful was the staff. They really know how to make you feel special.” Oct 25, 2006 by
Maureen from Dallas, TX
“This is a wonderful resort stay with luxurious accommodations. Loved the bedding and spaciousness of the resort. The spa is one of the best I have been at.” Jun 11, 2006 by
Meri from Rancho Cordova, CA
“Nice location near beach. However, since we purchased room through Internet received a bad location of room. Later we slipped into the bed and saw makeup on sheets. Thought it was waterproof and the sheets wouldn't get clean so I laid down anyway, only to get up and the bottom sheet was dirty. EEK. I was upset called front desk who then told be to contact housekeeping - they didn't come to change sheets for about an hours so, my husband when downstairs talked to manager at the front desk about refund, since no one has taken care of the room, they informed me that since we purchased on Internet that they would not refund. But would give us another room. We moved into another same size room overlooking the ocean. Would have been nice to get a room like that, if the room was available the first time, instead of getting it by dirty sheets.” Jun 1, 2006 by
Debra from Linden, CA
“They were not accommodating. Picture showed a hide a bed couch - we had a chair, so no extra bed. told we would get a queen hide abed, got twin, told we would not be charged. charged $9.00.parking was $21 valet, hotel guest should have better rate and more accessibility. Too far from shops, hotel too spread out!” May 24, 2006 by
Angela from Las Vegas, NV
“The hotel is beautiful, close to the beach and has everything you might want. The spa and pool areas are both nice, and there is a grocery and bike/surf gear rental store on-site (we used both). The staff was wonderful. The only draw backs are the extra charges that come as a surprise at check out (parking $21- a day & service fee $9- a day), and the fact that the really friendly hotel staff apparently doesn't mind allowing folks to sleep outside (not sure if these kids (18ish) were hotel guests or not, but there were there every morning). We were also over charged twice in one day at the pool.” Apr 11, 2006 by
Dave from Orlando, FL
“A few friends of mine chose to stay at the hotel while flying into town for the Angel/Yankee game. The looked nice and was located right on the beach. The room was clean and the front desk staff was friendly. However, the wait staff in the lounge chose not to serve my Latin friend, until the rest of us had arrived. They walked by him for 20 minutes, not even offering a greeting. When confronted about the issue, they denied any wrong doing, but gave us a few breakfast comps to shut us up. My friend left the hotel and didn't return. Needless to say, this isn't the type of service we had hoped to receive from such a high end resort...especially in California. Felt more like Kentucky. We get together every year in Anaheim/Newport/Huntington Beach for opening day, spending thousands on each trip and never do so at the this hotel again. Turn your noses down on someone else.” Oct 25, 2005 by
Matt from East Greenwich, RI

“Very nice hotel near beach. Entertainment at night a little loud. Pools are very nice. Rooms are a little small and some have bad views. Parking can be tough. Very pretty and well kept grounds.” Jul 27, 2005 by
Debbie from Redlands, CA “The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach is one of my favorite hotels anywhere! We love the luxurious rooms. The proximity to the beach can't be beat. We have stayed on 6 trips and hope to return many more times.” Jul 8, 2005 by

“Great location. Family oriented. Almost a five star!” Apr 20, 2005 by
Randy E. from San Diego, CA
“This resort is huge, you can get lost, but there is always the help of the friendly staff to assist you. I love the fact that they have their 50% off bottles of champagne in the red chair lounge every early evening. I asked the Concierge where to go for dinner and she recommended the Californian in the hotel because Chef Adam Navidi had just change their menu to the Spring menu. The Food was great, the service was great, the rooms are luxurious and best of all the place makes you feel like you have left the United States. It's great. Cheers!” Feb 21, 2005 by
Diana from San Jose, CA

“This hotel is first class. It's right on the beach, the rooms are very large, the sheets and comfortors are WHITE - nothing to hide. Very clean. Our room had a little patio with tables and chairs. We had coffee, bath salts, bath robes, huge bathroom. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 8, 2004 by
