• Conveniently located near Pasadena.
• Would prefer daily refresh service as part of hotel expense.

“I stayed at this hotel for 13 days while doing some consulting work in the area. It's easy to get to, decent free parking, and lot of great restaurants within a short walk. Not a bad choice if you're going to be in the Pasadena area for a while. Bring or buy your own pillows, the ones that they have are not comfortable.”

• The location was good.
• Did not offer a swimming pool.

“Upon arrival I was tired and hot and when I got upstairs my key was not activated. I was quite surprised there was no swimming pool and my room needed to be aired out. The morning of departure housekeeping opened the door around nine am without a knock or announcement. Good thing I had the lock in place to stop the door. I was very disappointed with the hotel.”

• Reasonably priced, comfortable, convenient.
• Kitchen inadequately furnished. Cigarette burns on sink and blankets in non-smoking room.

“It was a nice place to stay, almost on a level with Comfort Inn, without the breakfast and amenities. Good choice of TV channels. The only negative was that cigarette burn damage should be kept in smoking rooms - i.e. on blankets, sheets, etc. Better yet, don't allow smokers at all.”

• The room had a FULL kitchen, including a refrigerator the same size as my own!
• The room was ridiculously small, with very little room to maneuver.

“The location is AWESOME! Central to more restaurants than I can recall ~ and I'm talking restaurants like Claim Jumper (my favorite for beef ribs!) and there are within walking distance, as in across the street! It is also next to the freeway, but I heard no noise whatsoever. The kitchen is 'full-size', so to speak & fully stocked with utensils, etc. The only drawback to that is the space avail in the room is EXTREMELY limited, but you give some to get some ;-).”

• Clean, recently updated, on a street accessible to OTHER hotels.
• Literally directly under the fwy!

“I was scared to go in. But I did. It wasn't long before I realized, I wasn't going to make it and had to leave. The area is a healthy dose of suburbia just around the corner from the road to Los Angeles' National Forest grounds. It just hurts so bad that you're so far from the city and you just have to be practically underneath the fwy. This is a small building that seems to vibrate from the noise and it feels like there is an invisible cloud surrounding the whole place of exhaust fumes and who knows what else. Everything is new, but these buildings were built very cheaply, plastic pipes and all. Unless you're made of stone, this isn't the place to be. If you have to stay in the area, there are plenty of mid-budgeters down the street FAR from the fwy.”

• Decent room, quiet, location was ok, great restaurants were nearby.
• Beds uncomfortable, small TV.

“Why is it that many of the extended stay type hotels have beds that are as hard as a rock? These are the only chains that I've stayed in that are like this and they don't attract me back! This hotel was quiet, nicely located and there are many good restaurants nearby.”

• The staff was very helpful.
• Needs to provide free internet.

“This hotel is actually pretty nice. The room I received had a small stove, microwave, and a full size refrigerator! I got room with one queen sized bed, but upon arrival to the hotel I was able to upgrade to a room with two double beds for a little bit more.”

“This is certainly a surprise as I had anticipated a rundown place based on prior posts but to my surprise it has recently undergone a room renovation that really shows. The property is situated near dining establishments and is close to the freeway. My room is close to the freeway but I find that it is not too noisy, perhaps the hum of the room air conditioner is drowning out the noise. I recommend this place to anybody wanting a cheap accommodations for the night or two.”

• The class of the clientele shows on them and the hotel.

“Checked in to find no remote and no cord leading from the phone to the wall. Iron was missing and was not provided until Tuesday morning. I had to provide my own batteries for the remote control.”

“Good for the price. Had about 20-30 channels to watch. Had a fridge, stove, microwave. Had soap in bathroom but no shampoo. When we called the night before, the woman who answered said check-in time was noon - we arrived at noon and the front desk worker said it was actually 3 p.m.”

• The hotel was very clean and well maintained.
• The mattress is extremely firm, I didn't like it.

“If you're looking for the basics, along with a small kitchen in a clean atmosphere, this is the hotel for you. If you're looking for even the smallest extras such as sample shampoos and conditioner in the room, you will be disappointed.”

“Will never stay there again for any price. Upon arrival, we were given a room occupied by another guest. No amenities of any kind in room including, but not limited to, soap, wash cloths etc. Room not cleaned on a daily basis and we stayed two nights. No restaurant or exercise room. Room had bare minimum. Even when checking out, there was no one at the front desk. Had to leave my card with a note that I was checking out. Very dissatisfied.”

• There was not any dish soap for dishes and only one fork and one spoon.

“For the price it was actually pretty good. Not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it was clean. Had a full-size fridge and very basic dishes. Needed to provide dish soap, dishes were dirty because of this. The rest of the place was clean. Could smell the bleach on the sheets. Blanket needed to be retired, but, again, with the price and what you get for the price, they need to keep things longer. The only reason the blanket was rough was due to bleaching and washing, which many places don't do that often. Pleasant staff. Quiet. No shampoo or conditioner, just bar soap.”

“Even though we booked a non-smoking room we were given a Smokers room. A quick return to the front desk with a request for a non smoking room was all the un-enthusiastic front desk needed to place us in the requested non-smoking room. Otherwise, a nice place.”

“Will never stay here again. Should have paid $10 more per night to stay in a real hotel. Staff was friendly, but rooms were not good at all. Linens were dirty when I checked in and had to be changed, dishes in kitchen were dirty.”

• Cramped space, hotel staff not diligent enough, grimy and creepy building.

“I have stayed at ESA hotels before and this one was the worst. The stove top and full refrigerator are great but the beds are hard and there wasn't enough space for my family of four (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 infant). I wanted to upgrade the room and pay the additional cost but every time I asked I never got an answer without having to inquire again and this happened three times. I wasn't able to upgrade to two beds because at first there weren't any which is understandable, but when it did become available it had plumbing problems leaving us cramped in our one queen size bed room. My husband had to sleep on the floor. I feel this hotel should not be rated at 2.5. It should be 1. There is another hotel in the same vicinity that is rated at 2 and is MUCH, MUCH better than this Homestead Suite (and for the SAME EXACT price).”

“Staff was very attentive and helpful, however, after a long night of travel with our basketball team, it was disappointing to find one of the rooms given to us was used and had not even been cleaned from someone's previous stay. On top of that, they had to separate our guys into two different rooms.”

• Internet service you cannot connect yourself, go to help and waste 30 to 40 minutes daily. Helpline blames hotel policy.

“Everything else is good except internet other ESA hotel at arcadia, guest Tec window pops up and you can log in but at homestead one can never login himself take 10 minutes to call helpline and helpline waste another 30 minutes in guiding you, which will not work. Ultimately helpline will directly log you in them. This needs homestead and guest Tec service provider thorough interaction and review.”

• Great staff. Check in was quick, even though my room was not ready when promised. Very nice room.
• Had to ask the housekeeping to remove the vacuum from my room.

“Good rooms, space is ok. Need to clean more, especially after some one with pets vacate rooms. Could see animal hairs on the floor and bed when checked in. Also, there is a need to clean the rooms more often when somebody stays for long. Need to replenish towels, tissue papers etc more frequently.”

• We cooked our meals in the kitchen. They provided kitchen utensils and towels. Parking plentiful and the staff was very helpful in every way.
• No swimming pool. No change machine for washing machines.

“First time staying at Extended stay type of hotel. The full service kitchen and refrigerator was great to have. There were plenty of parking spaces. Families on a budget will like this type of hotel suite. The staff was great. It was a no-frills hotel. But I really enjoyed our stay. There were restaurants available when I didn't have time to cook. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.”

• Moved me from smoking room to non-smoking room at check-in.
• Key failed to work after three days. Locked out of room late at night. Took 30 minutes + to get front desk to help.

“After help arrives, they blame their poor response time on their answering service. No room service or trash pick-up for the length of your stay. They want to charge you extra for this service. Pillows and comforters are paper thin and the TV is very basic. No complimentary shampoo given. I have stayed in much better 1 star hotel.”

• Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.
• Reservation number service representative VERY RUDE.

“The hotel was fine - I had a late check in and was given a room with only one bed - I attempted to call the front desk, but it was after hours and I was transferred to the general reservation number. I advised the service rep that I needed to speak to someone in the hotel. First he didn't understand and when he did he hung up.”

• Hotel room and lobby were smelly. Towels don't seem to be bleached, very unsanitize environment. Very disappointed with the hotel.
