• The staff was very friendly, the location is near many restaurants 1 block away, the room was a good size and clean.
• There was a trace of smoking in the hallway, perhaps it was from smokers who smoked outside and the odor was on their clothes while in the hallway.

“This hotel has a kitchenette which was convenient with basic utensils available. One block away there is a large variety of restaurants to choose from. The bed good be a bit more comfortable. I would go back again.”

• Cheap. Has hot running water.
• Dirty! Lobby, room carpet stained. Room smelled. Ugly fluorescent lights. 1/2 thickness top mattress uncomfortable. No staff on duty past 11pm.

“Important things to know are that the hotel only has one queen size bed per room - so if you are traveling with someone who you don't want to share a bed with you are out of luck. Also, the hotel is "locked down" after 11 PM meaning that if your flight arrives late at night you will be sleeping in your car. The staff was courteous or at least after verifying that maid service had forgotten to do the extra cleaning I'd paid for they did actually send someone to clean my room. The room we were in had no closet, the fridge did not work well so we had all our food go bad, thank goodness the a/c ran cold though it had a stream of water pouring on the carpet. Our room did not face the freeway so noise was not a problem. The carpet in the lobby and hall was stained, particularly around the trash area. The floors in the room had stains too. The beds are weird - there is a full box spring but the top mattress is a 1/2 thickness uncomfortable thing. Judging from the dirt inside, the cleaning staff does not wipe or even check the dresser/cabinets. Last of all, the two pans had burnt-on food on them. The dishes and silverware were clean, though mismatched.”

“This extended stay was pretty clean and easy to find, but the beds were the worst I've ever slept on! I guess that if you liked a really hard bed it would be ok, but not for me!”

“You can't complain about staff going into your room and taking stuff while you were out for the day because the manager will not believe you. I was indirectly being told that I was a liar. I would never recommend that hotel to anyone. Staff was all new but 1, they are very inexperienced and it showed.”

“Having just stayed at another Extended Stay, this one had a really weak AC system and a really squeaky bed. Just sitting on the bed would make all sorts of creaking and squeaking noises. Other than that, the room was just as expected.”

• Clean, close to freeway.
• Could not lock windows (room was on first floor).

“A clean, Spartan hotel that has easy access to dining, supermarkets, gasoline, and the freeway. Housekeeping does not come every day, which is nice in the sense that there is minimal intrusion into the room. I'd prefer a second story room next time, since my window faced the parking lot, and everyone could see me if I opened the drapes. Ironing board was dingy though, they should change it. Full sized refrigerator was a nice touch, as was the kitchenette. Having 2 tables in the room was useful.”

“We had a full kitchen, though we didn't use it. This hotel is located literally right next to the 210 in Arcadia, so we asked for a room that was not facing the highway. We couldn't hear anything, though I imagine a light sleeper on the freeway side may not sleep well. Many restaurants are nearby. Overall, it was a good stay.”

“This hotel is for the business traveler, not the family on a vacation. They had everything that you need of your going on a business trip for a couple of weeks. They did not have what a family of three with a small child needed for a couple of days. It was clean and comfortable; I would stay there next time I am on business; though not on a family vacation.”

“I loved this hotel! It was in a convenient location, near restaurants and shops. It was in a safe location as well. The staff was friendly and always greeted me on the way in and out. The room was clean and large. The kitchen had ample space and there were pots, bowls, utensils, and cups available to use. I loved the Internet access for $4.99 for the entire stay. Overall, Extended Stay America was fantastic and I would love to stay there again in the future.”

• I really liked the kitchen with the stove top range and the full-sized refrigerator.
• The bed was a little stiff.

“The hotel was cozy and the staff was friendly. It was located near a lot of restaurant which was very convenient. I really enjoyed the kitchen and the fridge because I could cook a meal instead of going out to eat. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area and needed a place to stay.”

• Lack of any arrangement for tea, coffee, breakfast within premises or adjoining. Lack of rules to extend stay to any length at same place.

“It is a lovely place to stay comfortably and save the cost too. It is home away from home with the quietness of a resort and luxury of a hotel. I wish such type of extended stay comes up in other parts of the world like my country India too. I really appreciate the American business ethics.”

“The actual hotel I am staying at is homestead suites which is a sister property just around the corner. My daughter is hospitalized at the city of hope and I have been staying in the two hotels for over two months now. I was transferred to homestead suites during the labor day week and the staff has allowed me to stay at homestead even though my new reservation was at extended stay. I truly appreciate the staff at both of these properties and the efforts they have made to make my staff comfortable.”

• The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the interstate and restaurants. It is in a good location.
• The door handle to the bathroom in the room was broken.

“This motel is in a good location with easy access to the interstate and near many restaurants within walking distance and is in a safe neighborhood with other motels. The rooms are average quality with a kitchenette which included a full size refrigerator and stove. A limited number of silverware and dishes were also provided. My only complaint is that the door handle to the bathroom in my room was broken.”

• Location. Easy to come and go. Had a laundry room which we used.
• No coffee some mornings. We had equipment to make it in the room - but like the ease of just grabbing some as we leave for the day.

“I have stayed here several times in the past and it always been well. This last time, I checked in early since I will be back around midnight. When I came back around 12:30 am, the room was not ready and clean. I got transferred to another room that was also not ready. Finally I got transferred for a second time to a clean room however, the TV was not working. By then it was past 1:00 am, I went to bed instead of complaining about the TV.”

• The hotel smelled from all the different types of food being prepared in the rooms. The smell was unbearable. I had to purchase a bottle of febrez.

“Personally, I would not stay here again. I did not like the fact that the rooms were not cleaned daily and the sheets are only changed every seven days. The furniture was damaged and the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling. However, the staff was very helpful, friendly and professional.”

• It is in a good location, close to many loss angels¿ attractions.
• It is right next to the 210 freeway, lots of freeway noise at night.

“However, we did not care for this facility. When we arrived, they gave us a room where the TV was not working; the room didn't look very clean and inviting. There was a chair with a large stain on the ottoman. They did move us to another room, but the freeway noise was audible all night long even with the air-conditioning on. The hotel attendant did try to make things right, but we just did not care for this hotel. ”

• Room was facing the interstate and noise level was terrible.

“Hotel was attractive on the outside. Lobby, small, just two chairs. Room was a little dusty. Mattress was hard as a rock. They only had rooms available that faced the interstate. The roar of the traffic kept us from sleeping. The bathroom was clean but we ran short of hot water. Kitchen was well stocked and clean.”

• The bed was extremely uncomfortable, walls were paper thin.

“The staff was very friendly when I checked in and out. The lobby area was kept clean and in decent condition, but the elevator "lobby" and elevator were dirty and had trash on the ground. The room itself was in good shape, with newer carpet, fresh linens, and a clean kitchen and bathroom, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was obvious the hotel didn't spend extra for the "good" mattress. The walls were paper thin, as evidenced by my waking up several times in the middle of the night because I either heard people passing by outside my door (their voices sounded as if they were inside my room) or the occupants upstairs consoling their child when he/she fell out of the bed 3-4 times. I heard a giant thud, crying, and voices trying to soothe.”

• Dirty, no room cleaning, very uncomfortable beds. What more can I say for the three nights we stayed?

“Esa arcadia is in bad need of some real remodeling. The halls have very dirty and stained carpets. They are happy to have pets and it shows. Our room was large but with the ambiance of a super-8 motel without the vibrator bed. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. It was dirty, dirty, and dirty. What is worse esa provides no daily cleaning of the rooms unless you pay an extra charge. Only good thing is that the staff was relatively nice. This will come as a real shocker to people who stay in other two-star hotels such as quality inn or Hampton inn.”

“No frills no nothing. Not extremely clean. If you have a cell phone and laptop it could be fine. No way of communicating with the front desk unless you actually go yourself. Not a great experience.”

“It was fine for our purposes. We were traveling to phoenix and needed to stop in this area. Lots of restaurants nearby and the staff were friendly and efficient. Everything at check-in went very smooth. We had three rooms. 5 seniors.”

• Nobody came to clean the room.

“Nobody cleaned the room for two days. We cannot get extra bowls (only one bowl is provided in each room). No shampoo, air dryer. The hotel would not give double beds or non-smoking, so we end up with one queen bed smoking room for 4 days. Otherwise, after several times of such experience, when we end up with paying extra money or stay in a room we don't like.”

• Building shakes like an earthquake whenever a semi truck passes by either on the street or on the fry behind property.

“Room is adequate. Building or at least the room that I am in shakes like there is an earthquake whenever a large truck passes on the street in front or behind the hotel on the frayed not like the closet area, meaning there is no door on the closet it is just wide open. Staff is not very accommodating and is not as friendly as they should be in the hospitality industry.”
