• Very clean and friendly staff.

“Very friendly, and most of all they allowed me a late check out of 4pm instead of 12pm. Was very helpful because my flight didn't leave till 6pm.”

• It was clean.
• I almost tripped over a power cord running down the hallway.

“The hotel served my lodging requirement, but was not very remarkable. The view was of the ugly rooftop and the counter space by the bathroom sink was non-existent. They added an additional $15 after checkout, and I am not sure why.”

• The staff was very nice and friendly.
• The pool was closed and there was construction going on.

“I thought it was clean and the staff was super friendly. The room was clean and attractive in very basic ways. I was upset to learn of construction while being woken up by loud hammering in the morning and afternoon. The view from our window was of a dirty alleyway. Luckily we were only there for one night for a wedding; I would not want to stay there any longer. It was a big disappointment!”

• Nothing can beat its location.
• No mirror in actual room. Big mirror in bathroom in front of toilet-- didn't like watching me crap.

• Attached parking garage with direct (interior) access to hotel.
• Very loud air conditioner.

“Older hotel in nice area of Pasadena, walking distance from "old Pasadena" shopping/dining areas. Very easy access from nearby freeway. Good soundproofing from outside noise. Otherwise, pretty much a run-of-the-mill hotel, considerably overpriced relative to its star rating”

• Excellent location new Old Pasadena.
• Elevator too far from the lobby.

“This is a fine hotel in an unbeatable location in Old Pasadena. It's within walking distance of light rail, so you don't even need a car to get here. The bed was especially comfortable.”

• No free parking; expensive daily parking rate.

“Excellent hotel. Keep in mind that this is in Old Town Pasadena, so parking is a bit tough, and you'll have to pay to park at their own lot, which in my opinion should be completely free for all hotel patrons.”

• Conveniently located for museum, dining & shopping.
• Only one online workstation. 6 minutes cost @ $7.

“A clean, well-run hotel. Centrally located with many and diverse restaurants nearby. Easy access to freeways, the Gamble House and the Norton Simon Museum. Old Pasadena is a fun place to get that daily walk in.”

• Great breakfast buffet. Like the Pasadena coupons.
• Got charged for valet parking when I did not have a car.

“We appreciated the Pasadena coupons but did not appreciate being charged for valet parking when we did not even have a car. Do not they check car license numbers on the room reservation info sheet.”

• The front desk was very friendly (we were even given a free breakfast!)
• N/A .. I have stayed there before. It is all good!

“This was a nice hotel that stars it was rated. Great location close to downtown Pasadena with a light rail station just a couple blocks away. No great views, my room overlooked a gas station, but the room was quiet and comfortable. I appreciated the free in-room high speed internet access.”

• Breakfast buffet was too expensive, fitness room was too small, & parking too expensive.

“Have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed in the room or the service. However, the Breakfast buffet is nice, but not worth what they charge, and their fitness room is totally inadequate for a hotel of that size. I'll still go back, though.”

• No meals or food until 5:00 P.M.

“Great location. Close to Civic Center and JPL. Clean and efficient. I was disappointed that you could only get food from 5:00-10:00 P.M. Even a vending machine with warm food would be nice. The take out restaurant that they recommend takes about 1/2 hour to wait for food and they are very busy. Perhaps try expanding hours or give more room delivery options from outside restaurants in each room.”

• The staff went beyond the call of duty. Wonderful Stay!!!
• Breakfast was a little pricey.

“Customer Service reigns at this hotel. Is is delightful to stay where your every need is met. I had problems with my laptop, they took me right into the office to use their computer. The valets were so helpful and friendly. I will stay here every trip. I highly recommend this hotel.”

• The Hotel was in a great location (close to shops and restaurants) and convenient to public transportation.

“Overall the hotel was wonderful. Everything from the hotel room, exercise room, restaurant and pool area was clean and pleasant. The hotel staff was very helpful expecially when I needed directions and help using the public transportation to go to the beach. The price we paid was also a great value for the service we received.”

• Attached garage allows you to park on the same floor as your room.
• Staff was more interested in attending personal calls than guests.

• The location was very convenient to our nearby destination
• The room supplied was at the top of the hotel - it took a long time going up the parking garage to that floor

“This is a very good hotel in a convenient location. Nearby is Old Pasadena, a popular destination for dining and entertainment. The rooms are fine and the service is very good. If you have driven to this hotel and plan to use the parking garage instead of valet parking, ask for a room on a lower floor to minimize tedious up-and-down the garage driving to your floor level.”

• The room was very spacious and comfortable.
• The valet can get expensive at 12 dollars a night plus tip, as you go in and out during the day. But valet service was very good

• Location was perfect for our needs.
• No water glasses in room. Coffee packets containing sugar, etc. had been opened and contents missing. Hairs on floor and walls of bathroom.

“We were not satisfied with the condition of the room (see #8 for a brief overview). Lobby and facilities were acceptable. We were charged additionally for parking.Location was good, convenient to restaurants, etc.”

• I liked that it was walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go to. It had a nice courtyard and lobby.
• The vanity area adjacent to the bathroom was poorly designed. It made it difficult to exit/enter bathroom.

“Nice & inviting. Great area if you're visiting Old Town Pasadena. We walked everywhere. They granted us a late check out for 2pm, which was much more time than most hotels allow. Can't wait to go back!!!”

• I liked the large comfortable room.
• The only problem was my room was close to the street and a bit noisy.
