• Heavenly bed and a
  beautiful view.

“Westin is by far my favorite hotel brand. The rooms were clean, spacious and had that Westin style. My only concern regarding this booking is that it is hard to believe that this property is rated the same as a (H) property down the street. I stayed at both exactly one week apart. The service, room, view, etc. were far superior to the (H) property at WTC.”

• Ambiance, decor, great beds, upscale hotel, great views.
• Self parking was $15.

“The ambiance was lovely, staff gracious, nice upscale hotel, beds had 4 great pillows, including down, we were on 15th floor, had great views of the city. Parking was easy, yet cost $15.”

• Check-in staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Furniture needs updating and the parking was not fully explained.

“Was not able to get a king bed upon arrival. We were able to move to a king for the remainder of our stay. Also, was not able to use any of the electrical outlets next to the bed. My husband uses a CPAP machine and we had to pull the bed out and find the extension cord behind the bed to use. Most hotels where we've stayed always has at least one outlet for traveler's usage. Other than this we enjoyed our stay.”

• Front desk staff, very discourteous.

“The front desk staff was very unfriendly and did not smile. I felt unwelcome, even though they were unaware that I do a lot of business with the hotel as a meeting planner. I have reservations now about sending my clients/customers/sales reps their for their stays. I wonder how they are being treated upon their arrival. They need to train their front desk staff on how to smile. They were very rude!”

• Looked good on the outside.
• Rooms were dirty, no manager on duty, rooms old and broken down.

“This hotel was very dirty and old. The first night they put us in a room which we later were told was not supposed to be stayed in at all. The second night the room they put us in smelled. I didn't sleep!”

• The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom shower was great.

DVD plugs. The bathroom was great high counters and the shower had to nice shower heads. And the towels were plush. Nice soaps and shampoo and conditioner. Starbucks coffee maker in the room worked out great. And the hotel smell nice.”

• Ask if I could be on an upper floor, they gave me an Ocean View on the top floor. Very happy with my room.
• Furniture need to be updated. A little dated and old.

• Outrageous charges for parking, especially for a weekend when they are not busy with business travelers.

• Very convenient to Downtown long beach.
• My room was at the level that the window view was machinery on a sub-roof of the hotel.

“Don't forget to consider the $14/day parking fee in your budget for the room. Bathroom had no bright lights or fan for the shower steam. The room was a little stark for my taste. I would have been very unhappy.”

• No continental breakfast offered, and parking was not free!

“For being a four star hotel, no pillow chocolates, parking was not free, very, very disappointing, and most of all, no free continental breakfast was offered. Lastly, there was no Jacuzzi to relax in!”

“We had a great stay at the west in. Parking was easy and reasonably priced. We didn't need to use our car at all as everything was within walking distance. The beds in the room were extremely comfortable and the shower was awesome. Our only complaint was the room smelt a little smoky even though it is meant to be a smoke free hotel.”

• The room was newly re-done in very attractive colors/textures. Wonderful linens on bed.
• The view from our room looked down on construction supplies on the portico roof. Ugly.

“Beautifully re-done rooms in excellent downtown Long Beach location for conventioneers. Lovely public spaces - bar, restaurant, lobby. Only negative was expensive internet access.”

• The bedding and morning coffee & very clean.
• Poor attention at breakfast, mistake in order & undercooked omelet.

“Overall very satisfied with the location, cleanliness, however the bathroom drain needs attention. Bad experience in the coffee shop. Rec'd the wrong order, my companion rec'd his food while the prepared the correct dish, when it arrived it was not cooked through, and even when it came back the second time it still wasn't cooked enough. We were late already, so I ate it anyway. The wait staff had 3 tables to tend and yet they were not checking for beverage refills, which should be done during breakfast.”

• Noisy! Walls and doors were not very sound proof.

“Overall a nice hotel. Nice workout room and pool. The common area was nice and clean. It was very convenient to the conference center. The rooms were nice, but the noise from the hallway and enamoring rooms was obnoxious. Parking was $13/day which no one told us until checkout.”

“As a frequent traveler, Westin properties can always be counted on to meet certain standards and expectations - this hotel did not disappointing any arena. The open lobby was very pretty and the centrally located restaurant offered fine food at reasonable prices.”

• Everything at the Westin was clean and well maintained.
• The parking garage was a little confusing to figure out at first.

“My husband, daughter and I were very comfortable staying at this Westin hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very professional and made us feel welcome. Everything in the lobby, pool area, fitness center and our room was clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and clean. From the prices of the hotel restaurant I would have expected better food, but it was fine for what we needed. The parking garage was not easy to figure out at first, and finding the elevators was a bit frustrating, but after a couple of times we knew where to look. I would recommend this Westin as it has a good location and was a pleasurable place to stay.”

• The self parking was easy and convenient. The staff was very nice and the room was beautiful and extremely comfortable.
• There was only one robe in the bathroom.

“The Westin Long Beach was an excellent experience. We were upgraded to an ocean view upon check-in, and the check-in process was very smooth and quick. The room was well-appointed and had a beautiful view of the harbor. Everything was clean and well-maintained in the room. I would choose this hotel again without hesitation.”

• When you walk in it was very clean and the front desk clerk was very friendly.
• I was not aware of a historical convention taking place the weekend I booked. It was very noisy and crowded with school children.

“We got there late and we got an excellent room and I had a shower, and the bathroom towels were thick and we had the best sleep because the beds were more then comfortable and the bedding was beautiful and the room had a great decoration.”

• I liked the way the front people greeted me when I arrived.

“The west in hotel is a very luxury hotel for any one to enjoy there stay. Every staff member is friendly and eager to assist in any way. Very clean and very comfortable beds. Anything that you need is at your finger tips. You do not need to go out and look for things to do. For all, the west in is a nice relaxing spot to stay.”
