“The room was small with a king bed but this is a 1930's ship so that is what I expected. Having the opportunity to roam the ship and get the feeling for what it was like in that era was priceless.” Jun 4, 2009 by
Debra from Henderson,NV
“Overall we had a pleasant stay. Would have liked to been entertained by the ghost hunt, but $75. per person I thought was a bit much.” Dec 23, 2008 by

“I enjoy the Queen Mary and am planning on coming back very soon. It has always been and always will be, one of the best ships/hotels out there. I love the history and really love the ghost tours. I am hoping to return soon.” Aug 21, 2008 by

“It was a good hotel and it was very clean and nice but it was haunted and the service was slow.” Aug 19, 2008 by

“The Queen Mary is a gorgeous hotel that takes you back in time. The woodwork; beautiful glasswork and nickel finish hand rails; light fixtures and all the Art Deco appointments make it a treasure.” Aug 3, 2008 by

“Very novel place to stay for one night, friendly staff and clean rooms. Can tell this was once a true luxury liner at one time, although it is a bit worn down now. All in all a memorable stay, a tip on transportation: there is a free bus that stops in front of the ship takes you all over Downtown, the aquarium and Shoreline Village, no need to drive.” Aug 2, 2008 by

“This was my worst experience. The Queen Mary Hotel was a unique experience aboard a ship with a storied past. However, some of the restaurants and shops on the ship were closed. Furthermore, the shops were just adjacent to the ship were also closed. Consequently, I ate dinner on board, which despite being a nice meal, was way overpriced. Worst of all, a film crew was on board shooting an episode of ghost whisperers, rendering many areas off-limits. The film crew's presence meant that cables and wires were everywhere and everywhere we turned, there was some other inconvenience related to the shoot. The hotel should probably have been closed during the time I was there.” Mar 6, 2007 by

“Stayed at the queen marry for one night before a cruise on February 16, 2007. When we arrived to our room, I was slightly surprised to enter, what I considered, a "standard" room. I called the front desk and requested we be moved, which was done for us with no hassle. Our room (m155) was nice, had everything we needed, but smelled old, as expected, but was very hot! The bell hop turned the heat down for us and told us it would take a little bit for it to cool off. He opened the porthole windows for us and told us to go explore. We took our flashlights and went exploring on our own since we arrived late and no tours were going at that time. I felt as if the ship was ours since there were not allot of people onboard. I found it very fascinating! I loved thinking of all the people that we onboard before me. There were allot of locked doors that we couldn't go in to, but could have had we been part of a tour. I really wanted to see the pool area, but couldn't. The ship is pretty neglected though with lots of dust. We actually saw a ketchup stain on the ceiling in front of an elevator! When we arrived back to our room, it was still hot, very hot. We tried turning the thermostat all the way to 90 degrees instead of down to 50. That worked, wiring was just done backwards! While exploring, we found a comedy act going on in the Hollywood deli - very funny! At the observation bar, which is the only "original" area left on the ship as we were told; there was a great band which included bagpipers from the Scottish festival that was going on. We had breakfast in the promenade cafe which was very good, as well as the service. They had a nice buffet going on, but I opted for the heaves rancheros. Delicious! Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to stay at for a good night¿s sleep, but a great place to go back in time! Everyone should experience this place at least once! I am looking forward to going back and spending more time and going on the guided tours "looking for ghosts"! I did get a couple of pictures of "orbs", which some consider to be ghosts in the form of a ball of light. Who knows? Maybe I had a ghost in our room!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 27, 2005 by

“Makes a nice change from a usual hotel.the staff are really helpful and the atmosphere is pleasant.no need to worry about being a little way from town as there is a free bus situated right outside, takes 10 mins into town and comes every few mins. if you like modern things then her royal highness is not for you.shes a bit frayed at the edges and the walls are PAPER thin.” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Apr 19, 2005 by

“I stayed on the ship/hotel for a week. This is not a place to stay if you have any fear of the supernatural as it is high on the list of most haunted places in the world. However, if you can get over that, I recommend it to anyone.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
