  • Lots of space, comfortable room, great amenities like LCD TV.
  • Room could have been cleaner large stain on carpet, but lack of amenities in bathroom.

“Very nice layout and beautiful lobby. Bar and restaurant looked nice, but I opted for dining in Downtown Long Beach. Room was very comfortable, a and obviously couldn't beat the price anywhere else. The ambiance was excellent, lots of people around.”

  • The bath products were good and there was a full sized hair dryer.
  • It was a bit far from the Pike area, parking is expensive.

“When I entered the lobby I was expecting a nice, upscale hotel. This expectation was not fulfilled as I exited the elevator onto the sixth floor. The hallways smelled like sewage seepage and my room smelled of cigarette smoke. The carpet was dirty. I had higher expectations of a Hilton hotel.”

  • Conveniently located at downtown long beach, close to most of the travel attractions.
  • Parking, and most of the guests on my floor don't have the courtesy when they closed their door.

  • The lobby was gorgeous, with plenty of sitting area.
  • I did not like the hidden charge of 15.00 to self park. Nor did I like to have to take two elevators, to get from parking lot to the room.

  • Very comfortable bed and wonderful pillows. Hotel lobby bar also very comfortable.
  • Pool only 3ft deep, couldn't swim. Pool "stuff" damaged and umbrellas tattered. Not up to usual Hilton stsndards.

“Overall a nice stay. We did not dine in the hotel...to many other options. We thought the room was nice, however under the window valance there was pealing wallpaper. Bed and bedding was some of the most comfortable I've ever experianced. Bathroom was on the small side but clean. A little stingy on toilet paper. Never a spare roll and always almost at the end of the roll. Forgot my shampoo and used the hotels...very nice too. Lobby and lobby bar very nice and comfortable and inviting. They do need to spruce up the pool area and the pool "stuff". Umbrellas, chairs in poor condition. Kind of a dumb pool. Only 3 feet deep. Nice staff, a good stay. We stayed 4 days.”

  • Priceline offers great deals that are affordable and that are clean.
  • End of Ocean Blvd, would preferred to be in the middle.

“Hotel was very close to Long Beach, however the view we got was th roof, but I guess with the price I paid I really couldn't complain. Hotel was beautiful, clean and great place to stay in.”

  • Great quite/clean room.
  • Was a little far to walk to restaurants.

“The hotel was pretty awesome. They upgraded me to a Jr. suite upon arrival. The room was huge and had a balcony. Paid $55 for the night. The location is good if you are in for a little walk. It is next to a whole bunch of restaurants but it is a little walk to get to them. We stayed here because we were headed on a cruise the next day.”

  • The room was very quiet (6th floor), the blackout drapes were very effective, and the room was very comfortable.
  • The front desk staff was not very helpful re: Sunday brunch info and there was mildew under the soap dish in the shower.

“I did not especially like the mildew under the soap dish in the bathtub, but the hotel was nice overall, the view of the shipyards were hardly an ocean view and the parking lot was a little funky to get out of when unself parking - getting to the front of the hotel to pick up fellow travelers. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to a friend or family member.”

“I was not happy about paying $15 a day to park and the car didn't go anywhere. $10 day for WiFi access. Internet access via my mobile phone was not accessible due to the hotels internet service. For the extra costs, I will consider a hotel that doesn't charge in the future. It’s not realistic to keep the extra fees in today's economy.”

  • The bed, bedding & pillows were very comfortable.
  • Glass top on desk was sharp, desk, chair & bed too close together.

“The gift shop staff (two women) were self absorbed. They had paperwork spread out over display counter, you really couldn't look at merchandise and they made no effort to remove it when I tried to see if I'd like to buy something. Other than that, I think the hotel is nice. I've stayed there before and would stay there again. I also would recommend it to travelers.”

  • Well appointed, quiet, rooms were comfortable.
  • They make the hotels guests park the levels down. I understand most of the building is for office use but they should have more pull than that.

“Staff was nice and helpful, but the first room tub was clogged with no soap dish (5 star?) the next room had a soccer size stain at the foot of the bed. Parking area for guests is small with a huge valet area. Over flow is directed to the back which has poor lighting for females traveling alone. Also the lot is not secure. Staff did credit me which was appreciated.”

  • The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept on!
  • The pool was dirty and cloudy. Only thing that ruined it.

  • I like the elegance and decor. Next to water and nice view from the pool. Comfy bed.
  • Parking was not free and very narrow. Room smells bad. Pool only 3ft. Deep, dirty windows.

“Hotel is nice and appealing. Check in was a breeze and they also these kiosk so you can check-in on the computer. We did not like the parking garage, spaces were narrow and parking was expensive. Also you have to pay for wireless which should be complimentary. Restaurants in the hotel were so expensive. The pool was small and only 3 ft. deep, but great for relaxing.”

  • Windows were filthy, smoke alarm and outlet cover broken. Big safety issues.

“The room was clean and beautifully appointed and the bed very comfortable. The pool was too shallow and there were no pool towels available. The dirty windows, broken smoke alarm and electrical outlet made us think this hotel isn't very well cared for and seemed more like a 3.5 star.”

“Let's face it, this is a Hilton and the building is beautiful. The staff was prompt, courteous and ready to help in every way. I give this hotel the highest score for employees - superb but, the room was black and brown with beige, stains on the carpet - needs an update. The hotel caters to business travelers not families so I can't fault them with that - my mistake.”

  • Responsiveness of the night manager to address/correct problems.
  • Poor housekeeping. Didn't change sheets daily as requested.

“The hotel is conveniently located. However, the linens, towels, furnishings, walls, etc, in the room were worn and in need of replacing, repair, repainting, etc. It felt dirty. Also, there is very limited indoor self parking available - very limited. Hilton offers its guests the option to have the sheets changed daily by placing a card on the pillow. And, even though I placed the card squarely on the pillow each morning signifying that I wanted to have the sheets changed, they were not changed until I brought this to the attention of the night manager. Also the housekeeping staff placed only one washcloth in the bathroom on the first three days of my stay. While the night manager was very apologetic when I brought these and other housekeeping issues about the lack of cleanliness to her attention, there was no attempt on her part to provide any type of restitution for my discomfort and inconvenience, such as offering a discount on the parking fee or free breakfast. I have also stayed at the Westin Hotel down the street from this Hilton on numerous occasions. Long beach has become a convention destination over the years, and sadly, the service and quality of the hotels seems to have suffered significantly from this shift in clientele and target market.”

  • I did not get the queen bed i wanted at first with there help i got it.
