  • Location, bed, pillows.
  • Parking ($15), dark not secure.

“Staff was nice and helpful, but the first room tub was clogged with no soap dish (5 star?) the next room had a soccer size stain at the foot of the bed. Parking area for guests is small with a huge valet area. Over flow is directed to the back which has poor lighting for females traveling alone. Also the lot is not secure. Staff did credit me which was appreciated.”

  • The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept on!
  • The pool was dirty and cloudy. Only thing that ruined it.

“Excellent space for relaxing on a weekend or decompressing while on a business trip. The bar is small, but nice; the gym is well equipped but the pool is small, shallow, dirty and cloudy.”

  • I like the elegance and decor. Next to water and nice view from the pool. Comfy bed.
  • Parking was not free and very narrow. Room smells bad. Pool only 3ft. Deep, dirty windows.

“Hotel is nice and appealing. Check in was a breeze and they also these kiosk so you can check-in on the computer. We did not like the parking garage, spaces were narrow and parking was expensive. Also you have to pay for wireless which should be complimentary. Restaurants in the hotel were so expensive. The pool was small and only 3 ft. deep, but great for relaxing.”

  • Staff was excellent.
  • Windows were filthy, smoke alarm and outlet cover broken. Big safety issues.

“The room was clean and beautifully appointed and the bed very comfortable. The pool was too shallow and there were no pool towels available. The dirty windows, broken smoke alarm and electrical outlet made us think this hotel isn't very well cared for and seemed more like a 3.5 star.”

  • Environment catered to business conventions not families.

“Let's face it, this is a Hilton and the building is beautiful. The staff was prompt, courteous and ready to help in every way. I give this hotel the highest score for employees - superb but, the room was black and brown with beige, stains on the carpet - needs an update. The hotel caters to business travelers not families so I can't fault them with that - my mistake.”

  • Responsiveness of the night manager to address/correct problems.
  • Poor housekeeping. Didn't change sheets daily as requested.

“The hotel is conveniently located. However, the linens, towels, furnishings, walls, etc, in the room were worn and in need of replacing, repair, repainting, etc. It felt dirty. Also, there is very limited indoor self parking available - very limited. Hilton offers its guests the option to have the sheets changed daily by placing a card on the pillow. And, even though I placed the card squarely on the pillow each morning signifying that I wanted to have the sheets changed, they were not changed until I brought this to the attention of the night manager. Also the housekeeping staff placed only one washcloth in the bathroom on the first three days of my stay. While the night manager was very apologetic when I brought these and other housekeeping issues about the lack of cleanliness to her attention, there was no attempt on her part to provide any type of restitution for my discomfort and inconvenience, such as offering a discount on the parking fee or free breakfast. I have also stayed at the Westin Hotel down the street from this Hilton on numerous occasions. Long beach has become a convention destination over the years, and sadly, the service and quality of the hotels seems to have suffered significantly from this shift in clientele and target market.”

  • I did not get the queen bed i wanted at first with there help i got it.

  • Beds were cheap and damaged. Bad customer service.

  • The men and woman at the front desk were absolutely rude and impersonal.

“The Hilton family should spend more time on their hotels rather than their pathetic, waste of a life daughter. All of us customers are paying her attorney fees with these ridiculous charges. $15 a day for parking, $10 a day for internet, way overpriced room service with the food quality of C rated restaurant.”

  • It is not convenient to restaurants other than those at the hotel.

  • Our room was a bit run down with damaged desk and stains on floor.

“The open areas of the hotel were very nice and represented the Hilton name well. The pool also met our needs perfectly. The room was run down, with stained floors and a damaged desk. It, also, was stuffy. For the price though we were very happy and would do it again!”

“Overall our one night visit was pleasant. We checked in late (almost 10 pm), but had no problems. Front desk staff was friendly and courteous. I enjoy walking, so the 15 min walk to the Long Beach Convention Center and the Aquarium of the Pacific was not an issue for me. However, there is nothing right next door and the hotel is just in the middle of office buildings. So, there is nothing to entertaining nearby. We tried to visit the bar' keyword tried, because we stood at the bar for about 10 mins we walked away. The bartender stood there counting tips and then right after walked away to join some people at a table to have drinks. There was no one else around and he clearly saw us. The bartender was rude. So, to avoid an argument, we walked away. Our room had no view, because we were on the third floor and our window faced a wall. The room and bathroom were fairly clean. Although, it was bothersome to find there was no remote or alarm clock in the room. I called front desk at 12am to ask for a remote and did not get one until I made a second call and then finally received the remote at 2 am! We were finally going to sleep at around 3 am and noticed there was no alarm clock! But the next morning after our cell phones woke us up, I requested late checkout and I was happy to find that they had a complementary late checkout time of 2 pm. The parking fee of $15/day was not too bad considering you do get in/out privileges. I probably would not choose to stay here again for leisure, but I might for business.”

  • The pool for my younger children.
  • The staff were no help and there were teenagers allowed to run up and down the hall screaming foul language until the early, worse than Vegas.

“The hotel staff failed to extend our stay in the computer system after confirming so on the phone which caused us to be locked out of our room with our small children for 30 minutes and the staff tried several times to help but failed.”

“Hotel was well appointed and had good amenities however the business center wasn't working the entire time that I was there (3 nights). It was a little in convenient getting from the garage where you had to get an elevator up to a lobby plaza (outside) then walk into the hotel lobby to get an elevator up to your room.”

  • The hotel was not clean.

“This is the dirtiest Hilton Hotel I have ever seen. Not deserving of the name. The nice decor in the lobby was very deceiving. You could see pieces of food on the carpet in hallway and in elevator. My room was not cleaned at all so I requested a room change. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and tub. Running the water or flushing the toilet produced a sewer like odor. The other guests were super noisy. Not a 4-star hotel! If this hotel is 4-star then Econolodge is 10-star!”

The only complaint is the restaurant outside the hotel (which is advertised within the hotel and does deliver to the room) took forever with the food. The hotel is also located in an ok part of the downtown, but I would never let my wife walk alone.”

“First impression  great room - simple, yet well kept dishes - always poorly washed pool - 1st visit - no towels, 2nd visit - see above great lobby and front desk service! Food above average.”
