- Heated swimming pool and spacious bathrooms.
- The rooms were all musty, and had a mildew / mold smell, and expensive parking.
“We had to switch rooms because the first had an intolerable musty smell. The room that we were switched into had less of the smell, but it was still very noticeable. This hotel needs to fix their mold / mildew problem in the carpets.”

- Everyone was always there to answer any questions.
- The valet parking, too many cars in drive way.
“I was very pleased with the hotel staff but a little forgetful I had to call to get the key to the mini bar because they did not offer it to me when checking in. We had requested that all the rooms be in one floor but we had rooms in almost all 17 floors.”

- Hotel staff was very pleasant and the bedding was terrific.
- The unexpected $30 a day parking fee. $10.00 per day Internet fee. Nothing appeared to be complimentary for such an expensive hotel.
“Staff was very attentive and helpful. Our room over looked the California Plaza so we could see the events from our room. The air conditioning was quiet and easy to adjust. We enjoyed our stay.”

- Hotel was classy and staff was great. Too bad fire alarm ruined the whole experience.
- fire alarm went off at 1am and we left at 5am because of the alarm.
“We were very pleased with the hotel, staff and location. Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off at 1am on 8/9/09 and we could not sleep in until 10am. We then decided to pack and leave at 5am because we could not get any sleep. Staff (at the front desk) said they would reimburse us for one night for our inconvenience, but never did. To date, I have not received an email reimbursing us for one night.”

- Very clean and ameniable.
- The $30 a day parking charge.
“This hotel lived up to the expectations for an upscale hotel. The gym and pool area was useful to me and the rooms were quiet. The bathroom was spacious, where you could take a bath and a shower at the same time, if you wished. There were some drawbacks. Our bathtub filled with water from elsewhere, and the hotel had no idea about that. Room service was a bit sluggish in retrieving the trays (as I saw some tray sit for half a day), the aforementioned $30 a day parking charge and the hotel/bar were badly overpriced for what you got. Still, overall, it was a good experience and I would not mind going there again (if I can get the room at the same rate that I did through Priceline).”

- The staff assured us that we get the fine treatment. And they did.
- There was nothing I didn't like.
“I traveled with my adult son and the accommodations were great. We had twin beds as requested. The hotel was within walking distance of some museums and several other places of attraction. The main arteries for travel were also easily reached. I liked the proximity to Broadway Street. Especially beautiful was the view of the park below our window on the south side. Off street parking was also close to the hotel.”

- Beautiful hotel with nice architecture and decor.
- Location is horrendous. Absolutely nothing within walking distance.
“Hotel is perfect if you have a business or other event. Facilities are very attractive and has all of the amenities. Horrendous location. Absolutely nothing within reasonable distance of the hotel. If you are a business traveler with a reason to be downtown and no desire to leave the hotel, by all means stay here. If you are looking for a place to stay to check out the downtown area, stay elsewhere. Plan on spending 50-75 for a cab ride to/from LAX, and there is no place other than room service to get a soda after dark.”

- Friendly front desk staff.
- Service at the hotel restaurant was very inattentive.
“Good location with easy access. Friendly staff. The fine dining restaurant. I
found the food (the one menu item I did find appealing) to be flavorful and well presented but the overall menu choices were an odd mixture of French and Asian influence, most of which sounded very unappetizing. This critique applies equally to the dessert menu. The final straw was the strikingly inattentive service.
I would never eat there again. The coffee and amenities shop called Morsels, was woefully supplied with food the morning we checked out hoping to get a quick bagel and coffee.
Overall, I'd probably try a different hotel my next time in downtown.”

- The services available as part of their guest program - complimentary internet and morning juice/water.
- I thought the parking cost was high, and staff didn't mention a cheaper alternative a couple of blocks away.
“I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was convenient for me who was visiting as a tourist and had a car. I wish I had known about the cheaper public parking lot down the street, but their valet service was quick and convenient. I'm a member of their select guest program and received complimentary internet and free juice/water delivered to my room in the mornings - both very nice pluses. Only negative I have is that my room service order was lost one evening, but when mentioning it at checkout, the staff member apologized and discounted me the breakfast I had that morning.”

- Great hotel to stay at if you are going to a Dodger game.

- Hotel was overbooked first night and had to sleep on a sofa bed, smoky smell in carpeting.
“Great location, friendly staff but not up to standards. I was late checking in, the hotel was overbooked and thus I ended up in a parlor room with sofa bed (which did have a great view). I was provided with breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience. No coffee pot was in the room, I called it was brought to me without coffee cups. Next night I was given a business suite which was better. But I was tired when I came in, had to stop by for the new key, got upstairs and realized they'd forgotten to give me the key to the minibar. These little things can make a big difference.”

- One night there was loud music and applause coming from outside.

- The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were roomy and the beds were comfortable.
- The location is not the most convenient.
“This was my first stay at the Omni hotel. The friendly and helpful staff made it an enjoyable experience. Check in was quick and easy. I forgot my toothbrush at home and someone brought one to my room minutes after a call to the front desk. Front desk staff also provided maps and useful information for getting around the city. The room was large and roomy. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and had a stall and a tub. Overall it was a great experience. I will return for another stay and will recommend to friends and family.”

- The staff could not care less about your happiness. It's all about the money. And when they screw up. Well that's your problem.
“Stay away from this place. The staff only cares when you bribe them and even then it's not enough. When they screw up well that's a different story. All of a sudden it's not only your problem but you get a whole line about how the care but they cant help. Please think twice about this place. I've stayed at motel 6's that were better. You've been warned.”

“Beautiful lobby and common areas. Rooms are nice and spacious. All staff wishes to accommodate your every need. If you are a leisure traveler, beware. Lots of the shops/eateries close early during the week and close completely on the weekend! But if you are willing to walk a little, you can find something. All in all a very nice stay. Only downfall was the parking fees.”

- Elevators were fast.
- In serious need of updating.
“This is not a 4-star facility. Staff was friendly and hallways and rooms were quiet - though likely because occupancy was low. Finding food or drinks outside of the hotel required walking 1-5 blocks, and selection is limited.”

- Staff was great.
- Only parking choice was valet at 30 dollars a day.
“Great hotel, location, and nice staff. Pool is very sallow (3 feet 8 inches). Only real draw back is there is no self parking. Valet is sort of pricey at $30 a day though being downtown you expect to pay for parking so it's a mild increase in cost.”

- 30 dollars a night for car is to much.
