- Great downtown location. Walk to everything.
- Paying for parking, no AV plugs on TV's for DVD player or XBOX game station.
“Very nice hotel, full featured. Picky negs: TV's don't have AV plugs. I had kids with XBOX; they were out of luck. Didn't like the charge for parking and the daily charge for internet usage. B-Motels don't charge for these services.”

- Clean and conveniently located to restaurants, attractions and freeways.
- Difficult to gain access to internet and phone. Access should have been handled at check-in.
“My room was clean, spacious with good view of the city. Despite busy roads below I never heard traffic. I had a hectic schedule and it was fantastic to sink into my comfortable nearly luxurious clean bed each night.”

- Great location for us because we attended a concert at the Greek theatre and we did not want to drive all the way home to San Diego that same night.

- The pillows.
- Paying for online access is really, really tacky.
“When I arrived (at 3 am), I was told that there were no rooms available, with an offer to find me another hotel within 45 minutes drive (they found a room in West Covina, whereas my original room was in downtown LA). I had a meeting in the morning, so this was a ridiculous, preposterous, absurd, insulting option. I elected to stay in the hotel lobby until the cleaning crew arrived at around 7 am. But, I had to come up with that solution myself and this was only because of my positive attitude. Another person would have gone wild. Luckily, because of my decision to stay (and sleep on a couch in the lobby, essentially), everything worked out just fine. They threw in a free breakfast, which was nice. But I hope I never, ever have to suffer that kind of humiliation again. I've never, ever had to do that with any hotel anywhere, ever! Thank you. All's well that ends well.”

- Noisy HVAC units - clanking, blowing.
“The hotel is in a good location downtown, but charges a mandatory valet fee of $16.50. It's within walking distance of many downtown destinations. The room we were given overlooked the hotel's large gravel Porte cochere, but I could see a bit of the Disney Hall peeping out from behind a building, so I called the front desk and asked if I could have a room with a better view. I was told I did have a room with a good view. I didn't feel like arguing, so I settled for it. Part of the HVAC system was along the windows, and as the morning sun heated the windows up, the metal of the unit clanked and clicked, which made sleeping difficult.”

- No transportation and everything was closed because of the weekend.

- Close to dodgers stadium went to dodgers game.
- Did not have baby changing stations in the lobby restrooms which many women need and are very rare.

- The toilet float mechanism failed causing us to call for help.

- No dedicated concierge, no airport shuttle.
“This is a great hotel! It is conveniently located in downtown LA with easy access to the subway. The design of the hotel is very nice and the room/bathroom have sufficient space. Overall, I was very pleased. The only issue is that the hotel does not offer a dedicated concierge. The staff struggles a bit when helping in leisure/travel related areas; nevertheless, they are typically able to meet most requests.”

- They nickel and dime you for everything. Internet cost me $10/day, no breakfast.
“I really liked the hotel, it seemed fancy, clean, etc. The main problem was that they nickel and dime you for everything. Wireless internet cost me $10/day which was annoying. Also, there was no continental breakfast. I felt they were often trying to sell me stuff. This is fine if you're on a company paid trip, but irritating if it's out of your own pocket. Overall, though, I very much enjoyed my stay at the Marriot.”

- The walls were thin and could hear the rooms next door through the adjoining door to rooms. Need thicker doors or insulation between them. Big issue.

- Loved the lobby's decor and artwork!
- Service in the bar was less than attentive.
“Easy access to the freeway but without the noise. Loved the decor and artwork in the lobby simple but very attractive. The room was very nice and particularly loved the bathroom good lighting and plenty of room. The bar/cafe was crowded but, even though we were seated at the bar, the service was a bit lacking (otherwise the service was excellent). Overall was very pleased and plan on staying there again when attending another athletic event.”

- The heated swimming pool and the environment.
- Valet parking neglected my car.
“There was an incident where I was lied to by valet staff stating that they were getting my car. My keys were hanging in their office and I would have been waiting there even longer than 20 minutes if I would not have said anything. I felt that just because I had a beater car that I was being neglected. Everybody else had fancy cars and they got their cars very quickly. I did not tip valet for my whole stay. Somehow, I felt like I was treated differently because I did not pay as much as those rich people that came for the PAC 10 event. I'm never going back there.”

- Ease in check in and fair rate for parking.
- Noise level and parties booked prior, also they did not have the pre- requested 2 beds.
“All in all had there not been an event going from 8-3AM I believe I would say awesome. The event kept me awake from those hours and I had to be up early (6am) so I did not sleep at all. Somehow when there is an event they need to think how to maintain that event and their paying clients should always come first.”

- Very helpful staff. Easy and quick parking and check-in was very convenient.
- We were on the freeway side of the hotel and the traffic noise was too much.
“We were there for the L. A. Marathon and will certainly stay again if a occasion arises. Last year we were at the Bonaventure and the staff were not nearly as helpful. Check-in was a disaster and parking was horrible. The Marriott was a wonderful experience.”

- Lobby was very well decorated and welcoming. Room surpassed expectations: spacious, bed incredibly comfortable, bathroom spacious and clean.

- The cheapest luxury hotel I ever booked.
- Rooms might be noisy, only valet parking possible. Furniture quite worn.
“Well maintained hotel with lots of amenities. Public parking on the other side of the hotel is only half as expensive. Comfort of beds above expectation, bathroom with tub and shower cabin, wireless Internet free, tab water good enough for making coffee.”

- The dining room and buffet staff was great.
- Some of the staff did not speak very good English and miss understood questions that were asked and gave wrong information.
“Overall it was an excellent stay and I will stay at this hotel again.”

- I like the location close to freeways.
- No yourself parking.

- Great customer service; friendly staff; clean and very comfortable rooms; good amenities.
- Parking fee is so expensive! $16.50 a day.
